Hello everyone. Thanks for reading. I'm Mike Dukk, a guy that loves to write about fantasy, science fiction, magical realism, and whatever other ideas pop into my head. I've decided to post my latest novel idea here in a different format in hopes of accomplishing all of the following:
-Entertaining you the reader. That's always my goal. I strive to better myself so the things I write elicit emotion from those that choose to read my work.
-Getting my name out there. It's hard to make a name for yourself as an author. A friend of mine directed me to this site, and I decided to post some of my rougher drafts of my latest Dark Fantasy Series, which I've labeled, "The Vengeance of the Wind". It's by far the darkest thing I've written, and I believe this fantasy world I'm creating has a lot of depth and possibilities for some great stories. I've got at least this trilogy planned in this world. The content of the first book is mostly written, only in a very rough draft I wouldn't dare share until I've improved it. Right now I plan to post the entire first novel here, possibly all three depending on how it works out. This is a new experience for me.
-Looking for productive feedback. I used to be in a writer's group, but I felt like I outgrew it. By posting on this site, I'm looking for productive feedback that can help me improve my future drafts, one of which I will eventually publish.
-I'm hoping some of the readers here will find my work enjoyable enough to purchase my existing books, which are currently for sale on amazon.com. Search for "Mike Dukk" and they'll show up. Since posting here I think some people have picked them up and read them. Thank you to those that have.

If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.
