《Sasha》10. ~That felt good~

The next day, Sasha couldn’t stop thinking about him. His single touch made her entire arm feel funny for hours. It faded slowly, a whisper remained. She craved another taste.
Yatsu entered the school ground, and scanned the crowds of students waiting for the bell to ring.
Sasha averted her gaze to avoid eye contact with him.
Eva called out to her and bounded over.
Boys from every direction watched her approach. Some watched her butt, some her breasts, few her hair, all with curious expressions.
Sasha glared at them and then at Eva. "You’re late."
"Who are you-" Eva spun around, and all the boys’ gazes turned elsewhere. "-looking at?" she asked, concluding her own answer.
Eva is gaining popularity fast... "All the boys looking at you," said Sasha, stating the fact. "I don't doubt someone is going to ask you out by the end of the day."
"W-what really?" Eva's face turned pink. "What about you?"
"I'm not wearing a frilly dress. You stand out more than I do," said Sasha stepping toward the school. "The bell is going to ring soon."
Eva fell in step behind her but Sasha stopped, and glanced over her shoulder. I could do it now.
"Sasha-?"
"I need to check something," Sasha spotted Yatsu weaving through the crowd. Heading toward the school double doors.
Sasha followed him at a quick pace.
Yatsu opened the door and stepped in. Sasha rushed through the same door, brushing against him. Renewing the rush of numbness, this time through her entire body.
"Sorry," she briefly called back to him and kept walking.
Eva caught up, questions plastered on her face.
"My arm... smack it," Sasha said.
Eva gave her a funny look but raised her hand and gave her a light whack.

Sasha's arm tingled, she resisted the urge to scratch it. "That tickled."
Eva whacked her again, this time a jolt of electricity shot up Sasha’s arm. She shivered with pleasure.
"That felt good~" Sasha purred.
Eva didn't respond, and dragged Sasha into their classroom. They sat down at their desks.
"What felt good?" Eva asked.
"Yatsu, he-"
Eva's eyes grew wide and sparkled with an unnatural interest.
Sasha ignored it.
"I- when I touch him I feel funny," Sasha held out her arm. "My arm is numb like it’s asleep, but when you whacked me it felt-"
"Good," Eva's finished. "You li~ke him."
Sasha paled.
Eva giggled.
"I don't!-it's just-"
"Too late for that," Eva said and turned, facing the front.
Students filed in. The warning bell rang. The teacher entered the classroom.
I don't like him-like him, but...
I do want to get to know him.

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

God's Gambling Table
After the death of their father, six gods battle for the title of true god. As the battle rages on and the planet they govern begins to suffer, the weakest god proposes a change to the nature of their feud. A competition of sorts, a fight to the death by proxy. They would each choose a second and send them to their world. Last one standing wins. While the gods suspect foul-play; they realize that if they keep fighting as they have, they soon wouldn't have a world to rule. Unable to present any alternatives, the gods agree to this competition. NOTE: First time writing a long story like this one.
