《The Tail of a Dragon》Prologue

An egg sits cradled on its nest with a few other hatched eggs. It had red speckled dots on its white perimeter, a glossy slime covered it from where it had recently been dropped from the mother's birth canal. The baby dragon's had hatched and were galloping around the place with their newborn lives. Some of them were spitting out fire, scaring themselves at the thought of such a thing. Others were simply struggling to walk. A particular blue dragon had mastered everything almost perfectly in this time. He was definitely the star of the bunch.
This red-speckled egg looked unhealthy, as if it would never hatch. A single crack shuttered along the egg as it began to shake violently. Suddenly, a pale claw bursted from the shell and out came the cries of the late-blooming dragon. It's head soon came after, popping out like it had no business being in this shell anymore. In a rolling fashion, it busted out of the egg, a big smlachk left the other babies curious. They all turned their heads to see the commotion.
Congratulations!
New choices have been created for you!
The small and fragile little dragon, forced its eyes open. Blinking multiple times, it had an overwhelmed glare into the abyss. It had no idea where it was, who it was, or what this red screen in front of it was. The poor little thing lacked the instinct to even make proper thought. The only thing it surely knew was hunger. It knew danger. That instinct came surging in, making the dragon crawl over behind a rock.
Stealth Level 1 Unlocked!
The dragon jumped as this screen bursted forth, making it hit its fragile head against a pebble as it flailed its wet wings.
You have suffered blunt damage - 7 HP.
The clanging of metal against rock had frightened the baby dragons, in turn, this made them flee for safety. Some hid, and some ran. It appeared mother dragon was nowhere to be found, but a set of knights had strolled right on into the cave, uncontested. Most of the knights had strange objects in hand. The dragon couldn’t clearly see what it was, but it was definitely curious.

Of course the dragon couldn’t process any of this information, it simply knew danger and hunger. The oily layering of the cave was hard to tread in, but the dragon’s fish like feet were built specifically for this type of environment.
A squeal erupted from the other side of the cavern, resulting in the harmonious screeching of the flocklings. A knight had captured one of the baby dragons with some form of net. “I got him now!” The knight said, and although the poor little red dragon couldn’t understand the knight, he knew he was definitely an enemy.
Then, everything was cascaded in black, as a net had snuck up on the dragon and encapsulated it into capture. The poor red dragon had just been born, but was also forced into the hands of the knights. He jolted along the expanding net, hoping to pry himself free of his bonds. The dragon met failure, and was soon fast asleep.
You have suffered serious stress. Sleep mode activated.

Around two thousand years ago, The world of Acoria suffered what is known as The Great Calamity, turning the continent of Teknish into a smouldering wasteland, irradiated by chaotic mana and ravaged by savage energy storms, causing the surviving sentient races to flee to the much smaller and resource deficient continent of Malthasia.
