The wind howls against the building. I groan and a man holds me down, "Don't move!" I struggle and he stops me, then shakes his head, "Nah, you got fucked up by an animal." That cat, it stood on two legs. "Can you speak?" The guy helps me sit up slow. Where? People run past my room, a man in scrubs dashes past. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. They say help should be coming in thirty days."
I shake my head, the doctor winces, "Bad thing is, we only have three days worth in the generators." Shit. I try to stand but he stops me, "He got your abdomen good, rest a couple weeks. We don't have anymore suture kits." I struggle and he sticks me with a needle. My breathing slows as he lays me back. I wince at my shoulder, chest. Everything hurts, my brain too. It hurts to even open my mouth.
