[Capital of Chesire Kingdom - Chesal - King's Castle]

King Thomas had his coronation 3 years ago upon the death of his father.

His older brother was the crown prince but then was murdered by a noblewoman. As the next inheritor and the aging, sickly father dying, Thomas became king in no time.

Life as the king was what he imagined it would be. Thomas has a beautiful Queen, mistresses, a healthly son, work handled by others with little decisions made by him, and mutual relationships with neighboring human nations. All this just to sacrifice two people.

But this past month or two was exhausting. An mysterious army destroying a few towns and several villages, extermination of 50,000 experience soldiers, destruction of Fort Caca, and the robbery of numerous nobles.

Nothing but complaints, disorder, and there was a faction forming to support his younger brother or another family with royal bloodlines to take his place.

The people were also dissatisfied and worried if said army would come around to continue their destruction towards the capital.

Everthing was going so wrong within just two months and he was just king for a few years.

What to do? What better to way to relieve his stress than women and alcohol.

It was night in his royal chamber with a few women laying around on his large bed sleeping.

Thomas was drinking the night away while petting one of the women's head. His Queen has her own chamber to rest. She loved taking their child to sleep with her.

BAM

The double doors of the royal chamber was pushed wide open.

Who dare come in my room in the middle of the night!" Thomas yelled. He threw his wine bottle but missed the intruder and smashed on the wall.

"Dammit brother! Calm down! It's me! This is urgent!"

It was the young man from the auction, Delio. The youngest child of the last king and younger brother of Thomas.

"What the fuck do you want! It's the middle of the night!"

"I want somebody to die! Big brother, let me use some money to hire some assasins and kill him! He dare outbid me! He's a demon and I can't let this stand!"

Thomas was rubbing his forehead.

"You want to waste our treasury to kill a stupid demon?"

"Don't talk about waste to me! Look at the bottles of wine and liquor over the floor and the hoes on your bed! I just want a little money just to kill this demon!"

"SHUT UP! I'm the king here! I do what I want with my money! Get out of my sight!"

Thomas had a terrible headache and he can't dealed with this, especially for a stupid reason.

"I wish elder brother was king instead of you!"

SLAM

Delio came and left like the wind.

Don't worry little brother. Your time will come. You think I didn't know you are working with the others to take my crown! This will be no different than killing elder brother. Just you wait.

It was morning and the royal family members are eating breakfast, but something horrible happened.

BLAAAAAHHH

Delio was threwing up blood all over his meal!

He started to become bloated and turning blue!

"Kyaaaaa!" The Queen screamed. She took her son and ran to the halls.

"AHHH! Ahhh! Ahhhhhh!"

Delio was screaming in pain! He swung his arms, knocking food and utensils everywhere!

He got up and ran to the maids for help but the maids ran in horror because of his grotesque look.

He was deforming and his skin was melting!

Then he ran towards his brother seeking help! But what he received was a sword slicing his neck!

Blood sprayed from his neck and spread everywhere.

Delio was turning into a monster and Thomas killed him without a second thought but...

"What the goddess's name happen?"

It was such a coincidence that he wanted to kill his brother. Everyone was a witness and saw what happened. He was in pain and turning into a thing, ending his pain with death was merciful.

The same happened to well-known high nobles as well but nobody knows what the connection between them other than the strange way they died.

Delio was becoming a nuisance in the king's eyes and forming a secret pact with others, including a few of the so-called high nobles. They all died the same way. What are the coincidences that Thomas wanted to get rid of the competition?

It became another chaotic gatherings of public officials and nobles in front of him.

They already pointing fingers at him being the culprit. Even his former accomplices are afraid that Thomas will turn on them, so they were gathering support for justification to persecute the king for fratricide.

Thomas was reaching the boiling point. He will not had this farce to continue any longer.

"All of you are inciting rebellion! Treason is the highest crime! Guard seize everyone here and toss them in the dungeon! NOW!"

Guards were stunned but they can't disobey the king. Numerous guards stormed into the throne room where everyone was at. They arrested everyone and beatdown who resisted.

"You're mad!"

"Let go! You know who I am!?!"

"You are not longer fit for king!"

"You will not get away with this!"

"We help you become king!"

Thomas unsheathed his sword and started swinging at a few necks.

The guards were stunned by his drastic action. Beheading nobles? Can he do such a thing?

"What are you doing!?! Take them away!"

The guards continued bringing the nobles to the dungeon with some struggling and putting a fight.

Thomas sat back at his throne and look upon the headless corpses and heads on his floor.

His Queen and son was by the door connecting to another hall to the right side of the throne room. They were peering inside since they heard a fight and yelling. They became afraid of their husband/father. Afraid of the future. Afraid for their lives.

Everything was falling apart. If the nobles stop supporting him then what the people will think?

The lost of most of thier army was shocking even though nothing barely changed in their daily lives, except growing fears from attacks. But if the nobles don't support the king then, is the king worth trusting?
