《Last Grace: The Apex of Another World》Chapter 2 - System

The sound of the forest accompanied his rousing body. Nap time was over. His eyelids stirred, repeatedly closing and opening due to the starch contrast between the light, and the darkness. The moonlight finally fell through as he found himself awake as the day was nearing its second to last phase.

He straightened his body’s form earning his body a great deal of pain. Sleeping on the cold ground was a stupid idea. He was going to have to move sooner or later. His wounds needed to be tended to, sleep would not be its remedy. Anything which possessed medicinal properties. He needed herbs, even if the wound was closed enough. It would be able to get him to stand, not for long he didn't need that long if he was where he thought he was. In another world!

He spent the time that he had got up on the screen. If this was like Earth's games then he would be able to do something about this pain - maybe.

‘Status’ he thought in his head.

The screen popped up, slowly for some odd reason. Whatever the reason it had better of been good for making him wait.

Though it was not like he was going to end up getting an answer.

“Hoh, so that is what it is! That makes this easier then.” He said, while staring off into the distance. Saying “close” the blue screen went away and a few slim ones appeared in its place.

Your body is foreign to this world. As such your body's composition will be forcefully adapted to the atmosphere of this world.

You have acquired the passive skill [Otherworlder] for being of a foreign world to this one.

You have been injured! You have low health, you need to heal quickly otherwise you will die.

You have gained the passive skill [Pain Resistance] for experiencing a lot of pain. Your body has begun to adapt to the amount of pain and reduces the sensitivity of your nerves that handle pain.

You have gained the passive skill [Physical Endurance] for not only experiencing a large amount of pain, but from recovering from it as well. [Grit] has been given as well for thinking little of the pain.

Soon he was distracted by another blue screen that was brought into his vision. It displayed a series of variables of the terms found often in rpgs. Along with his name, and other interesting things.

That would explain the dinging noises. If this is all true, then he was in for some fun times. Some fun times indeed. He does wonder if these stats are low, they might be, then again the mysterious author of “the system” might be planning something, making us grow?

The reason is what he could not figure out. He could always figure that out later, right now he would solely worry about getting stronger. It doesn't seem like there are any herbs that he could use to relief some of his pain. He has to do this on his own. For his own sake.

Lucifer stood to his feet and staggered out of the cave. Relieving a notable amount of stress on his joints by placing a non reciprocating wall as the host for his exhaustion.

He would need to heal as best he could by minimizing his movement and maximizing his healing abilities so he needed to level, quickly if he could help it!

Lifting his weight away from the wall he exhaustively exited the cave. He did not have long. He was excited to try out the system and to rid himself of such heavy fatigue so he put a pep in his step and scurried into the stretch of land nearest to him. The beginning of the forest.

He wheezed, spitting out blood as he walked into the expansive lush forest that was sure to be home to something that could help him.

With his recently attained vigor, he wobbled out onto the shore of the forest. Leaning on trees when he could. Every so often and without him noticing he heard a dinging noise.

Which may be the factor that would save his life. His old life was however off limits for obvious reasons.

For he would do this with his own strength, and fly higher than - well anyone! If only he had his wings again no one would best him.

Right now he did not have the ability to fly, he was hardly worried if anything that could fly came after him as he knew their disadvantages. “Let's get this fucking over with.” Taking a deep breath he set out in the darkening sky.

The sky would bend to his will!
