“Sire, A new planet has been registered to the system.” A small squeaking voice squeaked.

“Hmm.” A deep basso responded.

“It appears to be a class three waterworld. The sentients call themselves the Shishay Quay. According to the report we received, all life is water based so we installed the standard water world mana package.” The small squeaky voice continued.

“So Dura, when you say water based do you mean they live in the water or that the body plans are based on water?” The deep voice rumbled.

“Of course it means based in the water. Who would make that sort of mistake?” Small squeaky squeaked. “Ha. water based biologics. Why our basic mana comprehension only works in the water. Anything water based not in the water wouldn’t get anything.” Small squeaky laughs echoed throughout the chamber.”

“But it is a class three. There is the possibility something else exists.” The voice rumbled some more. “Hand me the report. Go get me a representative from the Usny Tarki. Prepare a team of scouts to verify what is actually there.”

“Yes, Ezen.” Dura squeaked. “Your will be done.” Soft footsteps followed Dura out of the room.

There was silence in the room. It was only broken by the occasional sound of paper turning. There was a final sound as a folder was closed. “Those fools.”

Sometime later there was a chime. The rumbling voice pressed a button on his desk. A spell swirled to life. “Ambassador. How nice of you to reach out to me.”

A wet goopy voice echoed out of the magic crystal. “What do you want, air breather?” The voice whined and gooped.

“Aw, a pleasure as always Ambassador.” The voice rumbled. “I wished to speak of the new planet designated as Aqua 3. Have you heard of it?”

“I have far too many planets I’m representing to know them all by name.” The wet voice rasped and gurgled.

‘Yes, Yes. We are all aware of how hard you work, Zalitai.” No trace of the frustration the speaker felt reached his face. “Zalitai. It has come to my attention a new world was added to our system and may have been misclassified as a pure water world while it has less than pure water world status. Do you have any thoughts on this matter? Zalitai?”

“No, Ezen Khadny. Nothing like that would happen under my supervision.” Zalitai breathed out.

“Perhaps under someone else’s vision then?” Khadny asked with a raised eyebrow.

“No, Ezen. We would never allow such a mistake to be made. There has to be an oversight somewhere.” Zalitai breathed.

“Zalitai. I am sending a team of auditors to verify the correct designation of this world.” Ezen Khadny paused and took a deep breath. “Any irregularities will be dealt with most harshly.”

“Yes. Ezen.”

The connection was broken on the mana crystal. “Dura.” Ezen Khadny called out. “Dura.”

“Yes, Ezen.” Dura hesitantly poked his head back into the office.

“Are the scouts ready?” Khadny asked.

“Yes. Ezen. There is one small issue.” Dura was loath to admit it. But not telling Khadny would be worse. Khadny waved him off with an impatient roll of his hand. “Aqua was only recently added to the mana spires. It has a low mana density. Only the weakest of our scout’s will be able to stay there for any length of time.” Dura made a face at this next part.

“Go on, Dura.” Khadny spoke. “You know I hate suspense.”

“Yes, Ezen.” Dura hurriedly. “You weren’t the first one to notice the discrepancy. It appears several factions have already sent in scavengers.”

A deep sigh filled the room. “Fools.”
