Chapter 13 – The Efficacious Nirvana, recreated!
On Qing Yun peak in the Dark Emerald Nation.
Qian Mu’s father had recently left the mountain again, and Qian Mu herself was busy working on the Efficacious Nirvana. With each experiment, she could feel herself getting closer, not to the result, but to Hai Yun. It was as if the key to him, was in this elixir and she was getting closer in every minute.
However this was not the only thing she was doing, she also prepared various elixirs for cultivating. Ones that could increase the purity of the qi one gathers. These elixirs and pills she refined would be sent out of the mountain using spatial arrays.
She had carefully plotted locations all over the continent and on many tiny islands off the coast. That way, when she reincarnates she would not suffer from the lack of supplies the people from the lower classes suffered when they tried to become cultivators.
However she was well aware that she could not plant these elixirs everywhere, and that if she were to be reborn on a different continent, then all of this would become useless. However it was better to be safe than to be sorry.
“Just a little more,” she mumbled while pouring in a diluted mixture of the nirvana root into the flask.
One drop. Two drops. Three drops. She counted in her head. When she reached the seventh drop, she stopped.
The liquid in the flask began to give off a blue color. However inside this blue liquid a small swirl of gold was wisping around. The moment she saw this her eyes brightened. As an experienced alchemist, she could immediately tell the properties of an elixir by looking at it. This type of mixture where the two colors do not blend and instead swirl around within each other was the signature mark of an elixir which affected the soul!

However, she could also tell this was not nearly strong enough. However the gold liquid inside though, was truly quite powerful if it was in a greater concentration. Could it be that…
As she was thinking and examining the strange gold color her eyes immediately widened into a small moons as her pupils dilated. Hastily, she picked up the flask and taking a pair of tweezers, reached in and pulled on the golden swirl liquid.
To her surprise, the gold liquid completely left the blue liquid as if it were a strand of silk in sand.
Dropping the golden thread into another flask, she began the process anew. Each time, when she managed to create the golden strand she would pull it out and collect it. After nearly another hour or so, she had enough strands to fill half the flask.
Then she pulled out the raw nirvana root. Due to her full time devotion these last 5 days to studying the nirvana rot, she was well aware of its properties. Cutting off a chunk no larger than the nail of her pinky finger she dropped it into the flask.
Inside the material sizzled, as if it were some stone dissolving in acid. However, in the end, she was greated by the sight of a golden pill which had clearly condensed from all of the strands of golden silk with a small swirl of bluish colored liquid swimming within it.
As she took the pill out into her palm, her whole body began to shake violently.
She had done it! However just as she was feeling accomplished an immense pressure suddenly seemed to explode from within her body. This is… a soul break through!
As the pressure began to envelope her she felt her soul absorbing the strength from the surrounding atmosphere to build itself up. Around her body the usual orange color of her soul which identified her as an ancestor ranked alchemist was distorting into small whirlpools.

The feeling was complete and total anguish. It seemed like her memories were made of fabric that was being torn apart. Yet she did not utter even a single scream. Only quietly closed her eyes and bit her lip. Waiting for the break through to pass. This was the most difficult hurdle in an alchemists life. The break through between the Ancestor alchemist rank and the Divine Alchemist rank. Many soul practitioners, when undergoing this break through would collapse under the tribulation, however Qian Mu knew that her soul could withstand this pain without worrying.
If Hai Yun could do, then in order for her to be worthy of following him, she too must be able to share his burdens. If he can do something, then so must she.
Yet, although these words could portray her conviction, her framework was still shaken by the time it finished. But when it had ended, she was no longer an Ancestor Ranked alchemist. But a Divine Ranked one! Only now, could she safely consume the efficacious nirvana!
Without wasting a single moment she popped it into her mouth. As the slow cool feeling enveloped her body, her senses slowly began to shut down. For she had taken poison with the Efficacious Nirvana. However she did not notice the small eye which had been watching this whole scene from within the walls.
Yet, the owner of this eye made no move to stop her as she committed suicide. It was only when she had breathed her last breath and died, did the owner of this eye walk out.
As he stood in front of the new corpse his eyes slowly formed tears. But he quickly blinked them away. Then with the wave of his hand he lifted the corpse and turned his back to that location heading out of the door.
For how could he be cruel enough to not help his own daughter. He knew she hated him to the marrow of his bones, but she was still his daughter. The child from the woman he had loved for more than a thousand years.
Even if she hated him, as her father it was his obligation to help her in all her endeavors. If she could recreate the Efficacious Nirvana, then he could create something to track her soul. But in her new life, he would only help from the background, for he no longer had the qualifications to appear in front of her. He was simply too ashamed to claim himself as her father, let her new father do that with a clear conscience…
