Mellana, her mother, and Farn all leaped out of the way, shock filling them. Was that actually the Suction Palm? One of the most useless techniques in the village? How could this be!? Then Farn realized that Aurelie wasn't with them. She was still looking at the bookcase about to crush her!
Aurelie, for her part, was unable to move out of the way. Part of the reason was because of shock, but the majority of her immobility was due to the fact that her brain was whirring at mach speed, coming up with a solution to the problem. Finding one, she jumped, landing on the wall where the bookshelf previously rested, and immediately used the technique again.
This time she didn't need to get into position and do the moves. She had already figured out the trick to the motions. They were to ease the flow of the student's Spiritual Energy without the need to completely memorize the path, and to control how much energy went where and when. Since she already knew all that due to her memory, she drew her Spiritual Energy through the same path that she had just used, and used another Suction Palm. The bookcase and books halted their descent, then slowly started to return to their original positions, accelerating every second she continued her usage of the technique.
Aurelie carefully watched the gap between the bookshelf and the ceiling. At the last possible second, she jumped off the wall and shot through the tiny space, landing safely in front of the bookcase. It teetered slightly, as she had had to terminate the technique before she had leaped. She had anticipated this, however, and slammed herself against the giant piece of furniture. It stabilized back into it's previous position, though a few books on the higher shelves did fall down. Aurelie waited for a moment to make sure the bookcase was stable and stepped away, rubbing her head where a book had fallen on it just now. She took a look around, silently giving thanks that the bookcase had been against a wall. If there had been other bookcases behind it that had also fallen, then the library would likely have turned into a place of destruction as the shelves fell down one by one like a row of dominoes. She also noted that the little ball of energy within her was almost halfway depleted. She was alarmed for a moment before realizing that the ball was already replenishing itself. So Spiritual Energy automatically came back after use without any need for intervention on the cultivators part, but in order to get it to grow you needed to actively cultivate. Interesting.

"Well, that was interesting. Sorry for almost wrecking your library, Mr. and Mrs. Fadan." Aurelie said, walking towards her friends with a small smile. She had realized the instant Mellana's father had joined them, probably in a hurry to see what the huge burst of power was about.
"Are you alright?" Mellana asked, walking towards Aurelie, Farn moving alongside her.
"I'm fine. Farn, stop there and throw that book at me." Aurelie replied. Confused and curious, a mix of emotions he had found himself feeling often around Aurelie, Farn did as asked. While the book was flying towards her, Aurelie did a series of movements. It looked like the Suction Palm move sequence, but at the same time wasn't. Aurelie finished the motions right when the book was about to smash into her face. A force came out of her, around the same amount of force as the amount Farn had projected when demonstrating the Suction Palm, but instead of pulling everything around her, this force pushed, and sent the book flying back to Farn. Frowning, Aurelie stood back up from the crouch the series of movements had ended in and flexed her hand. The force of rejection should have been the same as the force of attraction that had resulted from the true Suction Palm, but it was significantly lower than she expected.
'Seems it needs a little tweaking. Thank god I decided to play it safe and not use this to deal with that falling stuff just now. The force isn't strong enough to have put everything back. The books would have gone back, but the bookshelf would've continued falling, and that wouldn't be good."
Mellana gasped and Farn stared at the book he had instinctively caught as it hurtled back towards him after Aurelie used her newest technique. A technique she had created by herself.

Creating a technique usually took inspiration, large amounts of time spent meditating on the basic principles, and countless attempts and lots of trial and error. All in all, it took many years. And Aurelie had just created one in less than a minute. It felt like the instant they met Aurelie, reality warped and broke into a million tiny fragments. She became a Master Realm practitioner in an hour and a half, killed more than ten practitioners who were of at a higher stage than her in cultivation, and showed them that the technique which most had believed to be the most useless technique in the village was in fact one of the top techniques in the village by performing the True Suction Palm on her first attempt, and created a new technique in record time. They were beginning to get used to not having any expectations of Aurelie having limits. Whenever they thought 'she can't do that', she immediately proved them wrong. They were starting to get tired of it actually, and instead of freaking out as they would have normally done, they were just dazed for a few moments before walking up to her and asking her to teach them the new move she had created.
Manadet watched the three of them go through the movements, Aurelie teaching and slowly showing the motions as she lead the other two through the routine, before she glanced at her husband. He nodded indicating that he had also noticed what the children hadn't. When Aurelie had clung to the wall as she righted the shelf, she hadn't needed to get into the pre-step postures. In other words, she had completely mastered the true Suction Palm. Mastering a technique took time, as it meant doing the move over and over until it became muscle memory, to the point that you needed no time and no prior moves to use the technique. The higher the level of the technique, the harder it was to execute and, therefore, master. Farn and Mellana had gone on and on about how talented and how much potential Aurelie had, but it was only now that they realized how amazing she actually was. She was either a lethal threat or a well-timed blessing.
