Chapter 10:
The Mock Battle (2)
--- --- ---
Vinci faintly smiled as he watched the three students sprinting towards him. Although he did not explicitly shout for joy, in his heart he was filled with an intense emotion called “excitement.” After all, this would be his first battle since arriving on Earth and Vinci couldn’t help but feel delighted knowing that he could now be able to see the strength of the humans on Earth.
To his right, Vinci noticed that Ian who was quickly approaching reach out his palm towards him.
“«Fireball»!!”
A basic low-tier magic spell was unleashed upon Angus’s shout as a blast of fire shot from his palm.
Vinci lightly turned and stepped to his left as the fireball and evaded the attack. But that was a mistake. Suddenly, a black shadow slammed into him from his back.
*BOOM!*
“Kh?!”
It was Ian.
With a swift movement, it almost seems as if he had teleported behind Vinci before unleashing a lethal punch towards his victim’s back.
Although teleportation was a possible magic spell, it was at least ranked in the Grand tier. Instead, what Ian used was not magic, but actually a martial arts technique called . The skill allows the user to almost instantly and fluidly traverse the ground at a rapid rate.
Although martial art techniques are different from magic spells, they are also categorized and subjected to same format as the Magic Spell Ranking. They are ranked as following:
Martial Art Techniques Rankings (low to high):
Low tier Art
Mid tier Art
High tier Art
Grand tier Art
Transcendent tier Art
The that Ian displayed is ranked as a Mid-tier Art for its incredible movement and high difficulty in learning it.
Although Vinci was momentarily knocked off his balance, he tried to quickly turned around to face his attackers. Unfortunately it was too late.

As he was busy dealing with Agnus and Ian’s coordinated attacks, Batomi had stood back and started gathering his SP. Just as Vinci had regained his balance, Batomi had finished his preparation. With a murderous glint in his eyes, he smirked as he directed both of his palms at Vinci
“Haa...«Berserk Lightning»!!!”
A sudden discharge of lightnings came raging towards Vinci. The lightning covered roughly a radius of 5 meters as lightning spewed everywhere. With no place to run, the barrage of lightning found its prey and dived in. The ground exploded as the Vinci received a direct hit. Clouds of dust flew up and embraced the spot where the boy was attacked, as if to protect him from getting further abused by the offenders.
“Wa-wah?! He used a mid-tier spell on him!...such ruthlessness”
“The transfer kid is done for...a direct hit...if this don’t kill him, he will definitely not be able to practice Soul Power anymore…”
The spectators began murmuring to one another once again after witnessing the brutal attack. The fact that someone would use a mid-tier spell on someone who had No Rank can be said to be an overkill.
“Bwahahaha! This is what that wimp gets for going against us! Remember this! If any one of you go up against us, this is what’ll happen to you! Ahahahaha!!”
Batomi roared as he turned to glare at the students who had began to crowd around to watch the slaughtering match. It then became clear why Batomi had initiated the match. It was to show off his strength to the Class by using someone weak as a guinea pig. As students began to realize this, some of them restrained themselves from immediately attacking and quietly glared at the arrogant pig in front of them.

Suddenly, a black shadow bursted through the murky fog.
“””?!”””
Instantly, the three attackers became startled. As Batomi turned to look at the spot where Vinci once stood, loud cracking sounds rang throughout the still colosseum.
*cracccckkk!* *c-craccck*
Immediately, Batomi found the source, or “sources”, of such noises. But, he could only stare in disbelief when he saw Vinci brutally subduing his subordinates.
With a single swift movement from Vinci, both of Angus’s arms were twisted backwards as the scrawny boy howled in intense pain. Ian, seeing this, quickly retreated backwards using . But alas, it was to no avail.
Vinci glared at the escaping Ian and after slightly bending his knees, he instantly appeared before Ian without a sound.
“?! T-This is ?!! H-how can someone like you use th--”
Ian never finished narrating his disbelief. With two blurred movements from Vinci's arms, Ian’s teeths shattered and his left leg was shattered backwards at a grotesque angle. Somehow, his tongue was also damaged in this process.
“Mmm?!!?”
Ian could only squeal in pan as he had lost the ability to express his agony in words. He quickly crumpled down to the ground as he writhed in pain like a worm.
After subduing Ian, without even looking back, he used once again and appeared behind Batomi...

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.
