*Authors note: So sorry I haven't been keeping up with update, but I've accidentally lost the chapter I was writing not once, not twice, but three times!(The browser closed) you can imagine what that does to the fighting spirit (or writing spirit?) of a young brotha. then finals started and well.... any way, I'm back, and I shall bring the Veneration! please keep in mind that this FanFic does contain religious elements btw. If you don't like it, I still refuse to apologize for a penguin king lowers his head to no one*
Creon logged back in determined. he already had a list of five things he wanted to do this session. He knew he had to hurry up and stat things into motion before the in-game month was up. In real life that just meant five days. All the players knew that if they couldn't at least partially catch up to the EAs in that time, that there would be a permanent gap between them. For this reason, everyone who actually had any intention of mattering obtained a class the day before. Classes added a good amount of stats as soon as you chose one, and everyone wanted to have a strong start.
Many people who started at the same time as Creon were already level 10, while the EA average level was around 35, with one guy already level 60. Infamous solo player: Jack. Rumors say he was attempting to become an in-game god, he constantly through himself into the lairs of powerful creatures, wielding only a knife. It should be impossible... and ye when people would check the lair after Jack left the result was always the same. The creature was ripped asunder.
Creon wiped the useless thoughts from his mind. He needed to focus on what he needed to do. As he looked around his new office where he had just logged in, he remembered all five of his objectives.

Learn what assets He had at his disposal
Begin educating the monks, and name the order
learn staff mastery. he needed a way to defend from swords, and while his limbs were deadly, they weren't blade-proof
Begin expanding. Starting with the slums
Begin level grinding. he at least needed to hit level 15 to be competitive
He exited the office and Oz was in the hall waiting for him. "Master, we have eagerly awaited your return" he said, bringing his hands together and bowing his head slightly in respect. "Ah, Oz. I need you to inform me of exactly what assets the monastery has." Oz tilted his head to the side. "... Master... why not just check the faction window? Since you're the leader, everything would be visible." Creon nodded his head slightly embarrassed. "I see... faction window!" A small window appeared.

Its a startthought Creon. The gold had been more than he had hoped for... but less than two dozen monks? He had hoped for at least 50. spreading the word would be hard with just these numbers. But he intended to recruit anyway, so it didn't matter as much. Speaking of which... " Oz! please have our brothers and sisters ready for a meeting in one hour! its time we begin." Creon said in his authoritarian voice. Oz immediately replied "The Master's wish shall be granted!" as he smiled fiercely, eager to be of service.
I think watching all those speeches might have helped after all Creon thought, slightly surprised by Oz's passion. " In that spare hour, can you teach me the way of the staff?" He asked. "ah, the original reason I was waiting was to pass on the relics of this monkhood, which includes a staff. If you did not know how to use one I planned to teach you regardless."

They walked out the monastery, and across the courtyard to a shed across from the main building. Oz opened a chest that was against the wall. He pulled out a staff ad a robe. "Master please equip these robes, they are grey for now, but we can change the color once we figure out our faith." "that wont be necessary as grey will be our color." Creon responded as he analyzed the robe.

The robes looked like a cross between a plain gray monk robe and a yukata, a traditional Japanese robe. the borders of the robe had intricate black designs sewn in. they resembled vines... and yet at the same time, waves. " And now master, the staff" Oz said reverently as he presented the staff. Creon analyzed it as well.

The staff was made of an incredibly dark wood, with a metal orb at the end. " The orb is made of mana alloy, if you have a symbol in mind for our organization, have it in mind and channel mana into the orb, and it will take the shape." Creon had of course had a symbol idea already in mind from his research in the real world. Something slightly complex, an rarely used: the flower of life.(Authors note: see cover photo for image of the flower of life)
"Master you truly do look as a splendid Head Monk should, " Oz proclaimed proudly, looking up at Creon... then frowned slightly "But that hair..." All the male monks had shaved heads, and all the females, A single thick braid. But Creon wore his thick, coarse, curly hair freely. Creon immediately looked sternly at Oz and said in a cold voice "My hair stays". Creon was not a vain man, but one thing he loved was his hair. "O-o-o-o-o-o-of course not, even the sage had hair similar to that, p-please forget I mentioned it master" Oz said quickly. He regained his composure " But now Mast- no Creon, I have 45 minutes left to grind the staff mastery skill into you." He smiled evilly. Ah shit... thought Creon, every bone in his body telling him to run, but he knew he couldn't if he tried...
