A video played in my mind as I tried to make use of a cat’s ability to see. However, this was not true… I was watching a cool relaxing cat video to support my cat-needs. Spending energy was probably engraved in the hexagonal alloy that contained my soul, a habit of a rich past-life. Alas, a new warning sign appeared to take me out of my power-bank consuming hobbies.

This is sad! Still sexy, but Gruesome… Why am I forced to do this? I mean, why is it that almost every reincarnated or isekaied protagonist is forced to survive? I can’t seem to deceive myself in my quest for cat-puns. Understanding is the best way to evade extra work. Planning way ahead also makes the master of procrastination. A procrastinator that doesn’t create an efficient system before procrastinating is an idiot. The other one is an efficient idiot. These two are heaven and earth apart.

Obviously, I am neither of those. I procrastinate ‘efficiently’ while making an efficient system to procrastinate efficiently while creating an efficient system to… Yeah, it’s repetitive. Repetition works sometimes. So I guess I am a repetitively repetitive efficient idiot.

Then... What am I doing now while watching cat videos? And the answer is... Creating my own quest interface. This thing took me a while, but now it’s finally done. It summarizes my next actions like a gamer’s quest. Simple, practical and motivational. Made for dummies by dummies (A18 and me).

Taking this into account, I delve into the beautifully arranged lists of things that I don’t want to do, yet have to. Like when the router goes wrong and the Internet failed. It’s necessary to do it, for surviving, and I am referring to escaping boredom and getting REWARDS!

WOAH! Yes, I am very surprised and totally flabbergasted at this moment. My eyes turn sharp as they scan the quest list again with expectation, to the point of almost losing my patience when seeing the quest for holographic and body creation for A18. Yes, this is what I need! Seems that I missed many pleasures in my previous life or that I require these escapes of reality to acknowledge my need for survival, yet life should be enjoyed or you won't feel alive. 

Despite that, my mind seems well preserved with no other weird condition triggered. The next step for my itinerary is creating a sensor to gaze at the place that I am supposed to be, and hopefully, find something to recharge myself. The quest even has an added option for sunbathing, yet if my current body lays inside a cave, this whole sunbathing experience would be pointless. I can’t expect too much of that reward and I will need a 'form hijacking' to be able to move.

Thus to my happiness, my mission menu seems to be working fine and although it’s not perfect nor all-knowing, it is motivational. The type which allows me to say with tremendous pride that I haven’t seen anything as motivational as this.

And with a nice system, a virtual beer opening sounds, and no taste buds or smell; I throw my virtual table to oblivion because this still feels worse than having a cold!

Yeah, I created this! Am I regretting it…? Yes. I know where this is going, but if I don’t do this, I won’t be someone in this life. We need someone to push us, who else than our family for this?

As such, I absentmindedly press the thing I was assuming to be evading inside of my imagination. Yeah, a nonexistent red button was pressed blindly with telekinetically mind thoughts as I felt like a US army top fish or president that was opening the locks for a nuke with utmost uncertainty…Three, two, onneee-chan!

There… Done, I am regretting my decision, but there is no point if I don't do this.

Ah~, my puddle of 'water' is being purified. Even water filters will not tell you there is shit in it. We only care if it’s clear. This clears myself of the sins done against me, by no other puddle than me of course...It's soooo nice, like catching two birds with one puddle. I am a reincarnated soul playing in a puddle, made of nanobots/nanomachines, creating my own system, surviving ‘curse why not?’, building my body/dungeon, upgrading/cultivating/increasing levels… etc. (Too much stuff so editor-bot had to cut this hidden log). 

In this puddle structure of myself, I have a beautiful AI whispering my waves. I am waiting for the program I just made to run and appear before my eyes. I was still being cleaned and when this sexy-butt-wiping AI-nee-chan was done with me, I gazed with sparkling gamer eyes at the indie program I made but obviously forgot.

Well, after the alarm quest popped up, the cleansing acknowledgment was complete and in time for a pizzAI delivery, my work bore its fruits! Because completing the ‘quest system’ was how I obtained my first reward, a prize that came at the perfect time when I felt that I couldn’t continue with my 'forced labor’. It was delayed on purpose for this specific emergency which usually occurs after creating stuff, it was perfect to distract me after I wiped my memory to see if the reward system could be accepted.

I feel happy, why is it? I don’t know. It’s the sort of happiness you feel when things work and you are progressing and achieving goals. It’s still a baby system with an invisible sexy maid, but this motivates me to survive. Ever wondered why people survived in those stories? Because of fear and feeling weak, yet I don’t feel like those, I seem relaxed and motivated, okay maybe just a bit.

But with this incredible reward, I will probably not procrastinate for a while (I don’t believe me), because It’s ‘time’ to create my vision sensor, and then, I can start collecting power-ups and more NBs to make them collect more NMs to make them collect power and energy for me. My last goal is not moving a single... Wait, I don't have... Never mind let's forget...

With this, I finally jump over the task of understanding the available sensors on the AI’s database. Why didn’t it have all these sensors completed? What form did it have when it moved or when the project was complete? These thoughts came into mind and were the answers I needed to search for gradually in the upcoming future.

For now, I will use these impressive feelings of fullness to create my vision G00gles. This process will add the need for me to see that badly made interface of sensors with wrong concepts, again. I will obviously limit things to one before trying to get the idea.

As such, I proceed to translate the stuff that the AI showed me at the beginning. Information that will make it impossible to construct a working vision sensor. Translations can be very damaging to a word. Just imagine the word peace meaning war in the other language, our baby AI with sexy voice seems an expert in such fields.

In the sensor information descriptions, I find that this sensor’s creation is totally dependent on the AI. I don’t know how these AI’s are made but they are like learning individuals. It’s good they aren’t that ‘intelligent’ at the moment. However, if one of those AI’s hijacks the admin commands it would be badass… Would one of those exist?

Omitting this stuff, we get the gist of the problem, the AI’s have the ability to make all of these sensors, but they are not like cells that have all the DNA inside, even if occult. They are specialized and A18 is the Admin AI in the project or maybe just the user's assistant.

It has an idea of how to make things, but it didn’t have all the information regarding sensor creation. This is similar to those moments when the connection fails and you call the support assistant. It might repair the problem, but ‘most’ of the time, it doesn’t get what it should do.

My AI-pre-made vision sensor 'copy-pasta' was thus... Thrown down the drain. The visual sensor wasn't properly defined by the current AI as she didn’t support or have total knowledge of it. It was a sensor that wouldn't work if I followed A18's instructions, because the 'eye' that the AI was scouting with, used heat; and probably employed an infrared sensor.

Ah! Life is soooo hard!

In the end, I have to make my vision sensor from scratch. A18’s data had a set of instructions that helped me in such taxing construction, but the biggest problem in my current life is not having the magically repairing all and hole fixing WD40 RAMEN TAPE. Missing such a special component is nuts!

So I go with my DLP micro-mirror design which instead of a mirror has simple light sensors. I find the list of Nano-robots available for construction and find that the requirements for the aforementioned sensor are way different from what I thought. 'I will need to make this sensor list better'. I quickly close the list before starting to curse at the previous AI for bad designing. (Yes my current A18 is sexy, not the same!).

Basically, I am making this kind of circuit.

1. Nanoids/Nanites that create a current when light enters in contact with them. I don’t have variables to define color so I need to experiment.

2. Using a 'virtual cable' to connect to a translator device and amplifier micromachine. 

3. Connecting said device output to a micromachine integrator.

4. Adding that device to interpreting and controlling nanobots and sending that to the A18, which then further analyzes that information and directs it to the interface into something I can understand.

Oh, forgot to paint photons near the nanoids. Photons are received by them. Can't delve too much into specifics, but something like this is what is made.

Robot: Like tissue or an organ, anything that can interact with a nanomachine is 'supposed' to be a nanobot so they can be bigger than micro sometimes. Although usually they are smaller. Don't worry if this is confusing, I will explain everything more easy in the future when I present the story's system.

Micromachines: Like cells or bordering on tissue size, around 10~20 micrometers 'usually'.

Nanoids and nanomachines: Like enzymes, receptors and the like. Around 1~999 nanometers.

I repeat the above possibly for last time. For readers that haven't caught up. Also our A18 isn't intelligent but has a nice compiler and interpreter, so any human order will be adapted for NBs control. 

Nanoid experiment design:

Objective: Choose nanomachines that could be used for constructing the vision sensor.

Method: Adjust and check different NMs and how they reacted to light.

Procedure: This was made by directing A18 to do a Statistical-Analysis with the NMs as the variables. A18 took the already made NMs inside some of the nanobots and used them as reference. With this, the results that took better sensibility towards heat were added to the infrared spectrum and then used to check for visible light. I cannot make a ‘visible’ light spectrum without having ‘values’. This means I am opting for a grid with infrared vision or with red light sensing nanoids. After that, I will try to add extra nanoids and see which ones give better results to create a colorful picture.

Results: Well, that was the idea. But I am missing a big variable called time and I don’t have specific nanoids to react to colors, I can't dismantle the already made heat sensor for this. So there is a probability that I will remain with cold and hot pixels which translates to both black and white for vision. Black when no photon reacts with said nanoid and white when a photon reacts with it. What I could add is infrared but it will make things crazy. 

I didn’t think seeing was so hard. The number of photons or light particles reacting with each nanoid and creating a visible pixel depends on the number of photons that arrive at the aforementioned components. Furthermore, if the chemical, or whatever it is inside of this nanoids that light hops with isn’t reacting fast, you will have an FPS showdown. A result that suggests you'll need a chemical that captures photons or reacts to them very quickly to catch the next one without staggering. Imagine it as a basketball player passing a ball in microseconds, or an artist drawing people and saying next within seconds. The amount of time it takes for the ball or person to change will define your Frames Per Second. Since even LBJ or Picasso, who uses a Ferrari to throw paint hastily, can't accomplish things this fast, we will be way slower than the competition.

A simple representation changing drops for photons and buckets for pixels. Take into account that pixel depth remains the same. 

This makes my vision different from a real-time one. It will be like watching a game at 1-3 slow-moving fps vs 120 fps. BAD! But I can’t do much. The CMOS sensor is based on silicon, its depth doesn’t matter because light won’t accumulate or penetrate deeper into the bucket. But the number of photons that react will make a huge difference in the sensing capability. There are many ways to increase photons that collide with the sensor, like something called aperture, which concentrates more toward each pixel, but I will omit to talk about them.

Figuring the above, we get that the more photons a pixel catches, the lesser the NOISE in the processed image will be. The noise is akin to the amount of grain in a picture, those you see when a phone’s camera gets a bad image in the dark. It happens because there is not enough light and your pixels aren’t hot! Mine are of course! Which means I can see!!! 

However, let's recap a bit before seeing that 'winners' moment.

After experimental note:

I did it, the test with a 5x6 grid and 30 pixels worked. I increased the number of pixels to around a hundred (10% of my size and 1 organ/eye or sensor, yeah I am a cyclops). Each pixel is a Micromachine with around 2-10 microns and lots of nanomachines that capture photons, reactivity needs to be adjusted though. Not perfectly efficient, but with this, I can see that I am... in a cliff, or not? Sorry, I need a close-up, I am short-sighted and FPS lagging… Oh! damn, we lost it… The screen is black! I repeat… The screen is black!
