《Witch Tier》Chapter 47: Another Piece of the Puzzle

Deep within a secluded underground chamber lies a vast candlelit library full of books. However, this library has seen better days and appears to have been partially saved from a vicious fire. In the middle of the chamber stands Gideon, who is reading a decrepit old book with glowing black eyes. He appears to be fascinated with what he is reading.
Footsteps sound from down the hall, but Gideon doesn’t stir. Eithan slowly enters the chamber holding a candle. He looks inquisitive.
Eithan: Has your search been fruitful, Your Majesty?
Gideon: You tell me, Eithan. Gander this…
Gideon points to a torn page of the book. The page’s text is nearly incomprehensible.
Eithan: Ancient Quatan? And I can hardly make out any of the characters.
Gideon: This passage is written in no mortal tongue. It is the sacred text of the Celestials.
Eithan appears to be taken aback.
Eithan: Great Prince, since when could you read the sacred text of the gods?
Gideon chuckles.
Gideon: Remember Eithan, our power is chained to the laws and custom of creation’s beginning. Little by little over the centuries we’ve been piecing together what was thought to be forever lost. The Witch Tier may be the most notable of our recent findings but I’m beginning to discover that our relics of old hold many secrets throughout this world. Far beyond what was found in the Forbidden Wastes and the high temples of Iarlec.
Eithan: Hasn’t that always been our course Your Majesty? To reestablish our kingdom by seizing our lost wonders from creation’s birth? What has changed?
Gideon: The Will has finally returned unto us with the Eyes of Knowledge; Lyrkru’s Sight. Albeit in a minuscule amount.
Eithan studies Gideon’s glowing black eyes in wonder. He slowly spins around to gaze a the vast library.

Eithan: You mean, The Will has allowed you to understand the multitude of these incomprehensible scrolls?
Gideon flips through the pages and smiles.
Gideon: Not all of them. Actually, only two of them. However despite what great secrets are hiding within these pages, there is one book that is greater than all of the books here combined. It’s importance is greater than that of even the Witch Tier.
Eithan: You don’t mean the sacred Pa--
Gideon: Shhh!
Eithan halts, covering his mouth with terror in his eyes.
Gideon: You fool! Have you forgotten the Queen of Queen’s curse?! You’ll drop dead if you utter the name of that book.
Eithan: Forgive me, Great Prince. I was just so swept up in your glorious discovery that it nearly slipped my mind.
Gideon closes the book in his hand and places it back onto the shelf. The two begin to walk down the hall towards a rising staircase.
Gideon: For now the closest thing we have to our great relic is the Witch Tier, however I now have one more understanding as to the whereabouts of the last remaining copy of the great book of our forefathers.
Eithan smiles.
Eithan: It appears Loc has even more work cut out for him.
Gideon stops.
Gideon: Something in my Iyn tells me that he will soon face a terrible challenge. A challenge he is nowhere near equipped to undertake.
Eithan pauses in concern.
Eithan: Should I dispatch our armies, Your Majesty?
Gideon hesitates.
Gideon: No. I’m afraid this might be a matter only he may deal with. However, that does not mean we can do nothing to aid him. I think I have a plan.
