《AS LONG AS IT'S INTERESTING, ISN'T IT FINE TO LIVE AS A DUNGEON? (Hiatus)》Chapter 5.5 : Teatime

[Saeri] Welcome back. Did the talk go ok?
I slump down into the chair in our makeshift living room. Saeri and I have gotten into the habit of having a small tea time when we can so I summon some herb tea and slices of some fruit. Well, it’s more like a round cucumber that grows on trees though. Refreshing, but I do miss having access to caffeine.
[Eita] Yup. I think everything’s going to be fine. Just one more big task ahead.
[Saeri] Um do you really have to -
[Eita] I do. But don’t worry, it won’t matter very much. It’s going to happen even without me doing anything. It’s just for my self satisfaction. Besides, I wouldn’t feel safe letting you run around otherwise and we can’t just keep you locked up.
[Saeri] Well ok. If you insist…
[Eita] That’s a good girl. I see you’re wearing the dress I made you. How’s the fit?
[Saeri] Ah um yeah. But it’s kinda embarrassing.
Saeri stood up so that I could see. Before me was an adorable little girl. I had braided her sandy hair into two pigtails. A thin soft red miniskirt ending in frills. A body hugging white top with long sleeves that provides a nice contrast with her lightly tanned skin. A small red choker around her neck. Tall white socks ending just below the skirt. There she stood, nervously pulling here and there.
[Eita] Aw that’s not true you look so adorable. I could just eat you up. Besides, this was a good test of what I could do with raw materials. Remember one of the cats brought in a plant that had a little puff on top? It wasn’t enough to make the plant worth growing to harvest, but I tried to just use that material when I was making our clothes.

Well. I say it was a good test but it was pretty tough. The process sounds easy but I had to extract it, create a large amount of this cotton like substance, and manually go in and start braiding strands together. Luckily the drafting-like system let me save and use patterns so I could just make one strand and duplicate it, make one piece of cloth and duplicate it, and so on, on quite the fine scale. Still the detailed work took quite a bit of time and mana. Not to mention experimenting with colors. White was from the sap of a medicinal herb, and the red from a berry. Both of which would be difficult to use as a dye if it wasn’t for the dungeon’s magical power to create a bunch of it. Ah, but it was a good test, so I didn’t lie ok.
[Saeri] Well, um, thank you. I don’t remember the last time I had something new and pretty like this.
[Eita] You’re welcome. After all you’ve been through you deserve it. More importantly, are you wearing those too?
Saeri clams up and turns even redder.
[Saeri] Mm.
She answers as she starts lifting up the miniskirt. Her squishy thighs that fills her new thigh highs and just a tiny bit of white peaks out and
I burst out into giggles and pull her into my lap.
[Eita] Gods you’re so adorable and obedient. Haha I wonder how far you would’ve gone for me hmm.
[Saeri] Um well I mean I do owe you my life and you’re doing so much for me and um well
Squeee
[Eita] Gah why are you so adorable. I’m so lucky I get you all to myself.
We spent the rest of the day just messing about and cuddling and messing with the animals. I completely forgot about all the stress and nerves for the big event.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat, 10am Central/ 3pm GMT. ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.

A discontinued story. I don't advise people to read this story, but it is the basis for my new one: Aevitas — I am not an NPC [R] New remodelled version may not yet be out, but if it isn't it should be 'soon'.
