Everyone who mocked became surprised at the sudden change of Vance and his men's reaction.

They mocked almost every part of them but they didn't even flinch. But the moment he mocked the one who gave the clothes to Vance.

Suddenly Vance cleared his mind and realized if he fights now they will harm innocents so he started to think of another way to finish Kitt off for his men.

Then Vance found a way and gave his order in a loud voice:"Weapons down! I will deal with him."

All guardsmen put down their weapons and fix their formation on Vance's command but that didnt decrease the amount of bloodlust they emitted.

Vance began to walk towards Kitt with Whitey. Then said to Kitt in a cold and stern voice : " I,Vance Ironhide,Leader of mercenary organization "Imperium",challenge Kitt Ironhide to a life or death duel."

Kitt's expression turns blue when he hears Vance wants to challenge him in a duel as a leader of the mercenary organization.

Following one of the mercenary guild's rules,Leader of any mercenary organization is to be recognized and respected on the same level as a high ranking noble in any empire because of the amount of people working under him.

That's why the guild created the "Duel" so as to protect the leaders of a mercenary organization when dealing with people trying to get away without paying the deal related to the contract using their troublesome background.

Duel is a special privilege given to challenge any high ranking noble that threatened or offended him for legit reasons to a duel.

For fairness to both sides and to prevent disguised assassination judge of the mercenary guild will check the proofs.

If the asserted leader of a mercenary organization is right then the noble has to agree to the duel but if the leader is wrong the guild disbands the organization.The guild does not care if they live or die and only after two years the same man can pay again to create a new mercenary organization.

But this kind of duel was very different from the normal one on one duel.The difference was that the noble and the leader can call endless reinforcements for their respective places.A leader can call reinforcements from his organization and a noble can call reinforcements from his family but not from the kingdom itself if that noble is not a prince or a king.

With the strict rule that there is no interference from any outside force.

What are you talking about plebeian? Do you think you have the authority to challenge ME?" - said Kitt.

"That is not your problem now I will present proof you tried to kill me to the guild and let's meet on the battlefield," said Vance.

With mocking expression, Kitt said"Haha then just try it"

Inside the guild, Vance calls out judge " I am the leader of a mercenary organization called "Imperium".I have proof that Kitt Ironhide tried to kill me thus I wish to challenge hit to a duel."

"WHAT DUEL?" - Everyone in the guild screams and turns their heads to look at Vance and Whitey.

"Is he crazy to duel against Ironhide family?" some older mercenary tried to stop Vance.

"Thanks but sorry I decided," said Vance with a smile.

"Please give proof to the respected judge on the third floor."-said a nearby receptionist.

"Okay Whitey call Holomat under your control to our place," said Vance.

Whitey said, "Got it".

A few moment's later a man that looks like an ungly combination of machines and electronic strings walked through the door and greeted Whitey.

"My greetings Master tech priest." - Holomat.

Everyone starts to see Whitey in a new dark light.

*Hours later*

Vance, Whitey and her Holomat along with the Ironhide family stand in front of the judge of the mercenary guild.Each judge has to vow to the God of justice the moment they receive their job through the grand ceremony so even if they wanted to they cannot lie.

"This is definitely a revenge against our family for disowning him,this is a scheme against the kingdom,our enemies use this excuse to weaken us." - said Kitt to the judge.

After hearing Kitt Judge asks proof of Vance.

"Whitey show them the moment Kitt mocks their emperor."-said Vance.

"Roger master. Show the record Holomat" said Whitey.

"As you wish,tech priest."- after saying that Holomat starts to show a hologram in which Kitt calls the emperor an idiot.

"How is that proof and we dont know if that is real or fake."-said Kitt.

"I am sorry but it is real.Because of the promise to our god we have the power to separate real and fake things in any form." said Judge while showing his golden eye.

At that moment Dru stands up and says:"Then Vance please explain how is that related to Kitts 'supposed' attempt at killing you?"

"Judge do you remember the rule of world summoners and the relationship between the summoned force and the summoner?" said Vance.

Judge "Yes"

"Then that makes things easy. Those people following me is my summoned force and they hail their emperor higher that god thus they are willing to sacrifice their lives for him.Your son mocked their god,called him an idiot,if I can't punish him then they will kill me as a traitor."-said Vance.

"Heh do you really think people can hail their emperor to such a degree?" all of Ironhide family mock Vance except for Moll who has a dead expression.

Vance points at Holomat and says:"Do you know what this is?"

"Isn't that just robot failure?" said Kitt with a smile.

"No that was once a human but because of his small crime against a priest of the Cult of the Machine whose god has the same rank as their emperor he got caught.As punishment his memory was erased and his body modified to serve as a slave to a tech priest until the end of his life.Isn't that right Whitey? So,what was his crime?"- said Vance after his explanation.

Whitey takes a scroll from her robe's sleeve that matches the serial number on Holomat's neck then said: "Crime of Dominik Gale turning him into a slave for damaging the holy robe of tech priest Whitey."

"That's it?" - said everyone including the judge except for Vance and the Holomat.

"Yeah, this idiot damaged my robe just after I received it from teacher Magos by the choice of master. At least he must be happy that he is my first modified human. Isnt that right Master?"- said Whitey with a cute humph sound.
