《A Dungeon in Space》Chapter 1 Waking Up

Dungeon Core Activated
That was the first thing I saw when I woke up.
The second thing I saw was a flat grey landscape and a white sky stretching out as far as i could see. In this landscape there was one object, a silvery gray sphere pulsing with runic blue lines with seemingly no imperfections, hovering an indeterminable distance above the ground.
When I looked at the sphere with my vision that seemed to encompass all, like some sort of omniscient god, I instinctively knew that I was the sphere. I thought back to the first thing I saw and made the connection that I must be a dungeon core. At this thought I became confused or at least I felt an imitation of confusion.
While I was adjusting to my new vision a stray thought popped into my mind. I am a dungeon core and in all good dungeon core novels there are status screens of some sort.
So I thought “Status.” and just as I expected a status screen appeared.
Unnamed dungeon
Name : N / A
Species : Sapient Dungeon Core T1
Gender : N / A
Age : 0
Health : 1000 / 1000
Health Regeneration Rate : 8 per Hour
Magic : 1000 / 1000
Magic Regeneration Rate : 10 per Hour
Inventory : 0 m³ / 1 m³
Titles : Unnamed dungeon
Jobs : Dungeon Master
Status
Constitution : 30
Perception : 125
Intelligence : 95
Seeing as how there was a status screen I decided to ask it a question.
“Why is my age listed as zero?”, I thought and the screen responded.
“Your Age is listed as zero because you are still in the adjustment period. The adjustment period is a period all dungeons go through when they are first formed it is there to help the dungeons get used to their new form as they almost always use reincarnate souls as they are synthetic lifeforms.”

This brought a few new questions to mind and so I asked the screen one of the questions.
“What are you?”
“I am an artificial intelligence that goes by the designation A.I. 20168293. I was created to help you regulate your with your functions, provide the answers to any queries you may have, and provide ideas from a new viewpoint.”
With my first question answered I decided to ask the A.I. a few more questions.
“Who created you and how do I access my other functions?”
“I do not know who I was created by as it is missing from my files. You may access the rest of your functions after the adjustment period is over, as a new option in your status called dungeon menu will appear allowing you to interact with the world around you and build your dungeon. As of right now the only function you can access from your menu is one that allows you to set your name at any desired time. If you wait too long your name will automatically be set by the beings that enter your dungeon as your name is considered to be your most common designation separate from your titles.”
“How do I set my name?”
“You can set your name by simply saying set name to before saying the name for example if I was setting my name for the first time I would say ‘Set name to A.I. 20168293’ to set my name to my current name. ”
Utilizing this new piece of information I started thinking up a new name. At first I was thinking about using my old name, the one that my parents gave me, but then it occured to me this is a new world, a new life, why would I have to restrain myself to my old name? After all no one knew me here so why not choose a new one? So I thought for what felt like a few hours, and decided upon a new name.

“Set name to Atlas”
Confirm Name “Atlas”?
“Confirm name.”
“Name has been set as Atlas.”
“Your status has updated.”
And with that I had changed my name, and thus changed my identity. As I was getting used to calling myself by this new name, a new notification popped up.
“Adjustment Period Ending Welcome to Kaladria.”
And with that the grey landscape, the white sky, and my dungeon core, faded to black.

Centipede
This is a fan fic set in the brilliantly crafted world of Chrysalis, which RinoZ has generously given permission for me to post. Our hero is no transmigrated human, but a genuine monster, spawned from the rich mana veins running beneath a fungal expanse. Unlike other Claw Centipedes, this hatchling is special, gifted with sapience and cunning. Both of which are useful tools to hunt and kill and eat with. Maybe even more useful than claws and stinger. (Probably not). Please join them as they seek answers to life's big questions: Is that edible? If so, how do I kill it? And can I get my kin to do most of the work? The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. The cover image photo is credited to Angel David *For now it's one chapter a day
