《Dungeon AI》Captains log from the ship Luciana 5/5

Extracts from Capt. Walker's memory sync.
First memory three hours before the power failure.
My whole ship's crew was cheering as I announced "that's right, were landing on the first planet not only that but the first nonhuman inhabited planet mankind has ever seen" the cheers became louder "now let's make sure we get the best landing spot "the crowd soon parted and went back to their stations talking cheerfully among themselves.
The communications officer spoke up "Capt., you know that Valley with the lake in it. The ship Intrepid just asked if we wanted to join them. They're taking the Gabe and the Celestial as well if we join them. They'll have the four required ships needed to make a town"
I'd cheerfully agreed "yes, I saw pictures of that place. It looked amazing. It's also far enough from the native towns that will be able to fully set up before any of them get near.
Time skip 5 minutes before power failure:
Lucy is on board ship AI announced "All ships are in sink beginning dissent into the atmosphere" the ship started to rumble. I watched one of the screens displaying the outside as we went through atmospheric entry.
There was something odd though. the fire coming off the ship from entry was normal, but there was an additional blue tinge to it. I thought to myself "Is there something in the atmosphere, giving it that tinge. The drone test all came back normal. So we should be fine. Maybe I'm just worrying too much"
We were three minutes out from the landing site when Lucy announced "captain the fusion core is working at max capacity and the power levels are still dropping this started happening 10 seconds ago and I was unable to correct the error"I looked up from the monitors and answered Lucy "what are you saying were losing power faster than the fusion core can make it?" Lucy replied and monotone voice "yes Captain the engines will run out of power in another 45 seconds"

I was worried that shouldn't have happened. The fusion core is meant to supply power to ships four times our size. the Fusion core is even meant to be pulled out and used to power a city. I called out in order "Lucy order an emergency evacuation" we were to crash and crash hard. I needed everybody either in escape pods or cryo pods before we hit.
Lucy "Capt. I sent out the evacuation order, but many of the escape pods have already lost too much power and are unusable" that's not good if the escape pods were running out of power. That meant most of the cryo pods were going to run out of power soon. I order the crew inside of the captain's deck "all hands go to your cryo pods now" one of the crewmen tried to argue. But before he could say anything I pulled out my gun and shot his terminal three times. I yelled loudly at everyone in the room "all crew to cryo- pods now that's in order" the crew quickly got up and into their pods.
When the crew was in their pods I gave Lucy another order "Lucy locked down all hatches and brace for impact" Lucy then tried to answer " caaaptain the life pods willlll be out of power in another 10 seccconds. Youuuuuu" I watched as the doors to the command deck locked down. at the same time, Lucy's voice slowly faded away.
One of the monitors on my right-hand side showed the Intrepid suddenly burst into flames and break apart scattering debris. The ship's engines gave out and I felt gravity loosen its hold as my ship went through freefall.
The ship began shaking more violently as it brushed against the treetops. When the ship hit the ground I was slammed against my harness and I felt my ribs break. The ship slid into the lake and was violently stopped by the water. The ship slowly sank into the water.

My chest ached as I coughed up blood, something was wrong with my lungs. I kept coughing even as I spoke up "Lucy wake up the cryo pods... Lucy?" The monitors around me slowly began to flicker out. The power failure had spread to the bridge. I tried to unbuckle my harness but every time I tried my vision would go dark. I spoke with a rasp in my voice "noooo, if I don't open the cryo pods... They'llllllll"

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.
8 243Junkyard Scavenger
Junkyard does not discriminate. This place where rejects gather is impartial to your past. Almost completely cut off from the Overworld, its limited resources put the residents at odds, as they struggle for each scrap they can get their hands on. You can decide to live in peace, but poverty, or try for a chance to leave. If you choose to leave, then be prepared to steal, plunder, fight, cripple, and kill if necessary. Gather items and become stronger. Crush your opponents as you take theirs for your own, and roll the weighted dice. Marco has watched for years how humans treat their lives like gambling chips. He saw delusion, confused with hope, and warnings falling on deaf ears. A million believing they are the one. Because don't you just need a few rare items to be unstoppable? Some EXP to dominate? Just a little luck? Surely, if you keep trying, fate will work out in your favor, no? Marco knows better than that. He's learned that patience is a virtue. He hopes others will listen; that they would learn. In time, things could be better. He plans to see to that himself. But when he meets Jeanne, their values clash. They both desire the same, yet their means differ. One would risk it all on a hunch, the other waits until the perfect moment. Does either understand the consequences of their methods? How does patience fare when time is not your ally? Do not hesitate. Doubt will drag you down. Beware of friend and foe. Because Junkyard does not forgive mistakes. A grimdark LitRPG story that's not just LitRPG, and not just grimdark. Updates about twice a week. Please feel free to leave some feedback. I'll appreciate it very much!
8 316Sector 27
It wasn't until June 3, 2101 that World War 4 ended. This was not a war that ended in peace treaties or truces; this war ended with disease. The atomic war caused plague and disease that crippled major countries. The generals and great leaders of the countries at war died from the radiation that penetrated every part of the globe. It was only then that humanity realized what they had done- what they had created. The first ever mutant was publicly executed the very day the war ended, and a new war began: the war against mutants. The surviving nation of Japan quickly rebuilt their country by dividing it into safe zones, or Sectors. There are currently 26 livable sectors in Japan; Sector 1 is the richest sector and the only sector that has completely rid itself of all radiation left over from the war. In fear against the threat of mutants, the once small section of the police force grew until it became the main police force in Japan. After all, humans shouldn't be blamed for crimes when the real threat to society is mutants. This police force that goes by their motto: Special Treatment Against Mutants (STAM) is comprised of agents that go about their work to capture and detain all mutants. Sector 26 is the poorest sector that humans can barely survive in; but there is one more part of Japan. This "dead zone" has such a high concentration of radiation that if a human were to step inside the barrier, they would die in mere moments. But within this dead zone, this 27th Sector, there lies a secret organization of mutants that fight against STAM and protect all mutants from their grasp. The Mutant Recovery and Protection Agency (MRPA) operates to hide mutants in society and allow them to live human lives. The only thing that stands in MRPA's way is STAM and its agents who hunt them down ruthlessly, so MRPA has their own set of skilled agents. And the battle rages on...
