《The Kitty Litter (LitRPG)》The Power Of Stats (Chapter 6)

Damn it! How was it going to get to the fragrance now? Poopy was enraged, wishing it was stronger. If only there was some way to power up! It might sound dumb for Poopy to be so obsessed just over a short whiff of the scent, but for some reason, the golem could not get the thought out of it's mind. The scent was like the best of fine wines, fermented to perfection and with the best ingredients! Poopy was convinced that it would regret it's decision if it decided to leave whatever that was behind.

Perfect! Poopy couldn't help but praise the box for how helpful it was while hitting yes.

TG: Hello! You seem to be rather lost! I will now explain to you how to get stronger. You might have realised by now that levelling up gives you more HP and MP. Don't worry if you don't understand what the acronyms mean, I will explain them all you to you. HP and MP mean 'Health' and 'Mana' respectively. You die when you run out of health, and you need mana to cast spells. Try thinking Info Bars right now!
Info Bars! Poopy complied.
HP: 30/40 MP: 39/40
That was certain very useful to avoid dying. But how does this help me stronger? Poopy thought.
TG: It's simple! Remember those 24 stats points you got from levelling up? You can use them to improve your power! Upgrading STR will make you stronger and increase your health, upgrading MAG will make your magical attacks stronger and increase your mana capacity, upgrading DEX will make you able to control your body better, upgrading AGI will make your body able to move faster, upgrading DEF will make your body take less damage from enemy attacks and lastly, upgrading INT will make you smarter and increase your magical damage (Note that with every point of INT, it is less effective in making you smarter)! You can allocate stat points by thinking Stat Points.

Well that about covers the basics. I think you don't need my help anymore now, do you? I'll be offline then!
The wall of text might seem like it would take quite a while to read, but with the help of DG, Poopy was able absorb all the information in an instant. Was it because the blue box was mentally connected to the golem? Poopy had no idea. With new info about how to use stat points, Poopy decided to look through what options it had. Stat points!
Name Value SP: 24 STR 12 + MAG 0 + DEX 10 + AGI 5 + DEF 5 + INT 90 +
After a little thinking, Poopy decided to add all it's points to STR. You might think that it was a dumb move to not consider other stats. I completely agree with you. But our protagonist here wants to trash that Drumstick Abomination as soon as possible! It was truly shortsighted. At the very least, two levels worth of stat points aren't that much, right?
Info Stats Class Skills Name Poopy Level 2 Species Cat Dung Golem Gender None Age 1 Day HP 75 MP 40 Name Value STR 37 MAG 0 DEX 10 AGI 5 DEF 5 INT 90 Name Level Progress Name Level Progress PC 1 50% BBC 1 0% S 1 0%
That seemed good to the golem. But how was Poopy going to level up more? The golem suddenly recalled that it only levelled up after absorbing enough dung. But where was it going to find more? It sat down to think and realised that since it had a good sense of smell, it could try directly sniffing for poop.
It was unfortunate that while trying to sniff at such a distance from the cave, all Poopy could smell was the remains of guano and that unique scent. The golem then decided to walk further away from the cave, hoping that distancing itself would make the smell weaker. The scent became weaker. Poopy praised itself for it's intellect.

+1 INT.
So doing stuff that relates to the stat will improve it?
Your Intelligence has been exercised.
+1 INT.
Poopy took that as a yes and continued to sniff continuously while wandering. Unfortunately, all parts of the earth smelled faintly of dung, since a component of soil was decomposed dung. It was a good thing Poopy quickly realised that it could just follow the places where the scent is the strongest for dung.
And as it followed the scent, Poopy found... a goblin. Wait, that isn't a pile of dung! The golem got confused and sniffed again. It then realised that the scent was coming from the goblin's butt. Crap, how was it going to get the poop if it's in the body of the goblin?
Maybe Poop Control could help?

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I hope you'll enjoy it, and that you'll review it and comment. You can also vote for it on Top Web Fiction and rate it on Web Fiction Guide. Member of The Order of Phantasmal Architects.
