《Chronicles of Sora: Ruler of Rules》Chapter 7.2 - Ero-Bakemono

Maylon’s POV
Night 7
Grandfather is not well. He has exhausted himself to the core.
Although he told me not to worry about him, I am worried. He does not realize his own age.
Thankfully, it is only evening and we can rest a little.
The Master is not demanding or cruel. He never speaks rudely, teases me or touches me…though there were times when I found myself sleeping close to him…I think I may have misunderstood him….although is a monster he is fairly …
Why is he staring at Gustav like a hungry wolf?
Is it really such a curious sight to see a boy pace up and down?
I think he does not understand the anxious boy’s heart. I understand Gustav, he is so attached to my Grandfather that just seeing him sick has him so restless. I too would pace up and down like Gustav if I didn’t know any better…
I feel my hand tightly being pressed; “Yes Grandfather?”
“Run…” He whispered.
“What?” I think grandfather is slightly delirious from the heat and fatigue.
“Maylon, take the Abbe and get as far as away from here!” Sora-sama ordered.
Before I could ask why, I could sense the tension in the air. Gustav had his daggers drawn out and Master had changed his green slime hand into a lance.
….
I don’t understand what is happening. The Abbe has grown weak and light. It is not so difficult for me to carry him.
….
The ground has been trembling for a while now, something is coming closer and closer to us very quickly…
Maylon presses her hand against the sand.
It’s underground! These kind of violent tremors can only belong to a desert worm! Should I tell Master?
The sand erupted into the air like a cocktail of doom where Gustav and Master stood.

As I get up to check on them, I can see Master has managed to save Gustav….I find it unbelievable that our Master is capable of anything….all he does all day is walk….and that to just barely. He can’t stand the hot weather, the sunlight….he can’t even hunt food for himself…..he gives of the airs of some noble …. Yet here he saved Gustav….I think I have a different opinion…did master just kick Gustav down?
That cruel master! He wants to only save himself!
Look at him smiling after kicking a six year old boy!
I have never seen such a wicked smile…had it been any other boy that fall would have led them to their death!
Master you are a fiend!
I hate myself for believing even for a second that our Master is something more than a perverted monster!
Gustav don’t come here!
My voice isn’t coming out of my throat….my body is going numb…I cannot see the worm but I can sense it….it is right under us…. Please blessed God save us!
Gustav get away from here! You can’t stop a monster like that!
Gustav is covered in the shadow of the worm. Its night here…two full moons (did I mention that before?)…fairly bright…for my eyes…not sure about humans…
The worm notices us and lunges forward!
“AAAAHHhHHHHHH!” I scream as loud as I can!
Grandfather heard my scream of terror and launched a fireball in his weakened state.
My mouth is filled with sand but that is not important! The blessed God has heard my prayer! We are alive!
My eyes shift towards the Master; the wicked being is smiling even fiercer. It was he who kicked Gustav towards us!
I finally understand him…this master …..he is no master of mine! He is a monster!

He sent us all so far away as bait! I know he wanted the monster to eat us….No! What if he….wanted me to flee and leave grandfather behind? I finally understand! This Master is a perverted monster…he wanted to separate me from grandfather….I still remember his face when we first met….that lecherous face…this man ….no monster…is a “hentai-bakemono”.
Bless the God and starry heavens! Please dear God save Gustav and us from these monsters!
I can no longer see the chase….both monsters and Gustav are on the other side of the dunes. Grandfather and I are alone again.
“Stop!” That sounded like Master’s voice.
….
Everything has gone quiet now….
Master returns….he has eaten Gustav alive….and is giving me those ecchi hentai looks….
“AAAAAAAA….” I faint in shock.

SoraChan’s POV
I think it would be best to say the desert worm episode ended with no deaths…minor injuries to the mental faculties of Gustav but nothing more than that.
After the worm lost of track of Gustav’s scent it simply burrowed itself back into the dunes and disappeared. We waited for an hour or so…before I finally let out Gustav…
All in all, needless to say my plan worked flawlessly.
I hope this brat is grateful.
Although I don’t make it sound bad enough, we were really in a terrible pinch. If someone was hoping for more action they must be crazy! This is our seventh night in a game! Most players don’t step out of Royal Road beginner towns etc. for four weeks!
I think what we accomplished was bloody brilliant….less the blood….
I am very tired, so is Gustav. He crashes beside Maylon and the Abbe and dozes of instantly.
Maylon passed out as well….I heard her scream but I am not sure what happened.
I think it was too much for her seeing the worm up close.
That girl is too weak to be a Guardian….I wonder if she has any purpose in this game other than those my perverted mind designs…. I would have loved to console her…but I am exhausted as well.
This isn’t like Royal Road….at least when I was playing Royal Road I still could log out and then eat delicious food and sleep on a nice bed…now…there is a constant worry running in my head….is there a log out? Delicious food? Nice bed? A tomorrow?
Before my eyes shut for the night, I practice using some magic. It’s still no good.
Once the Abbe recovers tomorrow I’ll make sure….
I stopped dead in my tracks…a thought occurred to me just now…what if the Abbe doesn’t recover? I’ll fry in the heat tomorrow….so far his ice packs got me through but now….not good…
I begin digging in the sand immediately. I change my hand into the shape of a shovel and dig away.
It took an hour but I managed to dig a hole about eight feet deep.
I fit myself in to prevent the sand from closing the hole.
It may not be much but if the Abbe doesn’t recover by tomorrow, I certainly don’t want to be fried in the sand.
My eyes are closing no matter how much I resist them...."completed one week in Ruler of Rules...."

Dimensional Originator
Adam is having a terrible time. To start the day off he died in a car accident. And that isn't even the most painful thing that happened to him. That would be merging with a strange crystal. After that he ended up stuck in an endless black void. He does eventually get rescued. But quickly realizes his soul has been put in the body of a fallen noble and his fate is to be little more than a breeding slave for the cultivation clan that purchased him. To top it all off his new body had been bedridden for weeks and he can barely get out of bed. Not everything is terrible though. The crystal he merged with is called a dimensional originator. Using life and death energy he can create miniature universes. Given enough energy and time he could even create an entire universe. For a moment Adam thought things were looking up. Too bad the author finds things going horribly wrong far more entertaining. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it as somewhere between PG-13 and R for violence, gore, and nudity.
