Third Person POV: Gon
-Flashback-
Greed Island, A forest near Masadora
"Now, why don't you give up and hand over your cards?" A very tall and thin man asked with a mild tone. He had been running after the group of three children for a moment now and had finally caught up.
The man had platinum blonde hair, a pointed chin, and rectangular glasses that accentuated a mastermind, evil look. He donned some sort of white robes surmounted with two crosses on each side, and a blue scarf arranged like some sort of hoodie he didn't care to wear.
Overall, he looked solitary and malnourished. He somewhat looked like an intoxicated scientist. One who had turned fascinated even after putting all his mind on a project that would ultimately make him stray from family and civilization. The man's depressing cheekbones flawlessly complemented his scraggy and emaciated features.
"No way! We'll never let you have them!" Gon bravely replied, his tone full of insurgence. The two people at his side seemed urgent, even if he was speaking for them. He squatted his shoulders before continuing:
"If we have to hand over our cards, we'd rather fight!"
"Wait, Gon!" The white-haired boy at his left side falteringly said, somewhat panicked. The next moment, he cursed silently after taking a careful glance at his companion's clenched fists. He remained silent for a second or two before he spoke out loud:
"Bisky, you run for it!"
"B-But…" The blond lass indecisively and girlishly raised her hands to her mouth.
"Just run!" The white-haired teen commanded busily. As he did so, he jumped and escaped through the trees.
"Wait!" His chaser, a red-haired man with a purple and long-sleeved shirt ordered.
The girl left with few choices imitated the lad but in another direction.

"Hey, you aren't getting away." Another grown-up said amusingly as he ran after her.
"You're up against me!" Gon and the lanky man with glasses who spoke first were left alone in the clearing.
The latter menacingly and suddenly extended a hand toward the kid. The tender youth who was hoping for his friends to escape safely was snapped out of his daze. He quickly flicked the dangerous arm away and retreated a safe distance.
"You know that I'm the bomber?" The man asked suspiciously, his fingers cracking as he emptily performed some grabbing motions.

-End of Flashback-
"So, according to that system, what's your category?" Kurapika asked curiously after he learned more about the Second Exam. He was dealing a bit better with his exhaustion. The fact that he and Gon had slowed down helped a little, but the boy knew that the former's fatigue probably halved right after he was presented with a way to get stronger.
Kurapika would do, and forget anything of lesser importance to get his vengeance.
"Enhancer." Gon smiled and replied. He was still running relaxed.
"Is that a strong category?" Kurapika asked curiously.
"Well...According to most people, it's the best category for close combat and defense."
"Hum...I hope I can be an enhancer then..." The blonde started and ended his sentence with small pauses. An avid tone and style betrayed the familiar, yet unpropitious need to perform. "Is there a way to find out?"
"...Yes." Gon sadly observed his friend before replying. "But let's speed up a bit before the doors close on us. I don't think we have much longer to run."
"Okay." The youth nodded.
Gon, who used "Cleft Mind" to his maximum, had long since been done recollecting about one man. That man he had met during Greed Island was most probably a conjurer just like his friend.

The man was strong, but unlike his friend Kurapika, he probably acquired his strength over a long period, with fewer unreasonable conditions involved.
Gon, who had a transmutation and conjuration nature now, could probably create something similar to "Little Flower." It would be handy for him in close combat. However, his current concern wasn't creating the ability.
If Gon wanted to create new abilities for himself, he wouldn't have thought of that one first. It was one of the most straightforward conjuration skills that he remembered and thought he could devise without issues. Putting Kite's "Crazy Slots" aside, that is...However, that one wouldn't suit someone too cautious.
Yes, the people Gon wanted to devise skills for were his friends.
Killua's and Kurapika's tremendous talent aside, it would be an understatement to say that Leorio would face impediments trying to catch up. The reason being that he would essentially cram to become a doctor. As emitters, the latter and Noko especially would need his "Paper" technique for close to mid-distance combat.
Gon, who had been avariciously saving money for the last year and a half after he bought his nen natures opened and searched through the shop. This time, though, he didn't scroll mindlessly through the screen. He put the cursor inside the small, top right box and typed "passing abilities."
He then proceeded to auto-sort the few thousand different results before finding the most appropriate skill in his price range:
<
Skill Cost: 4.000.000.000 Jenny
Type: Reproduction
Group: Transmission
Philanthropic Teachings: Level 1
-This skill allows the user to pass down his knowledge to a second or third party with some degree of success. The range and quality of the skills that can be transferred all depend on compatibility, talent, and dimensional laws, to which the active part is not necessarily bound.
The user needs to hold or touch the recipient. If compatible, the synchronization is freely adjustable, depending on the holder's maximum proficiency.
Note: This competence doesn't allow one to bypass the world restrictions already imposed on others.
WIS+10/VERS+10
"Four billion? That's the cheapest one?
The price is a bit too high, even for this shop. Let's reduce that to nen, I guess." Gon repeated the process after he typed "Nen passing abilities":
<
Skill Cost: 789.000.000 Jenny
Type: Nen
Group: Specialization (Nature)
Overbearing Teachings (Stationary):
-This skill allows the user to pass down his knowledge to a second or third party. However, due to the insensitive nature of the power, the learner becomes recalcitrant. In unusual cases, the latter turns unruly at the time of the transfer. The range and quality of the skills that can be transferred all depend on compatibility, talent, and dimensional laws, to which the active part is not necessarily bound.
The user needs to hold or touch the recipient. All abilities transcribe at level 1.
Note: This competence doesn't allow one to bypass the world restrictions already imposed on others.
"I'll probably have to sell the memory card this time around." The lad grimaced as he finished reading; his previously concerned expression now entirely sour.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
