Third-person POV (Neutral)
"Nice to meet you, the name is Kite."
"Ah...The pleasure is mine." Mito bowed politely before taking a befuddled glance at her nephew.
"This is aunt Mito, and over there, you have grandma Abe." Gon said as he continued with introductions.
After he did so, he sensed that the atmosphere was a bit awkward, so Gon simply added:
"Kite is Ging's apprentice, and we met in the forest a while ago."
"Ging?" Abe and her granddaughter were surprised. They hadn't heard from Ging for eight long years. And now this man pretended that he was his disciple. But didn't that mean...
"I'm also a hunter, yes," Both women had doubt marked on their faces. Kite smiled amicably but took out his license card.
"Wow, is that a real hunter license, Kite?" Gon asked as Kite put it in the latter's hands.
"Don't be rude, Gon." Mito, who was blushing after crossing the man's gaze, chided gently.
"I don't mind at all. You can go ahead and flip it if you like." Kite assured.
"I heard that real hunter licenses don't break easily. Aunt Mito, you should try it." Gon said in encouragement.
"Sorry," Mito told Kite then took the license. She did as the man said and flipped with all her strength.
"See?" Gon grinned.
"I apologize for my granddaughter's behavior. Please take a seat.
Mito, brew some tea for the guest, please." Abe, who witnessed it all, came forward then said.
"It's okay; I'm a stranger after all. Thank you." Kite ignored as he sat on a sofa.
"You old fox." Mito cursed in a low voice and clenched a rag. When she turned, she realized that Gon, who was nearby, had heard her.
The two stared at each other for a while until a peal of uncontrollable laughter took them.

Third-person POV (Kite's perspective)
Three months later,
Early Morning, in the woods.
A green-clothed boy with brown boots was checking around, on full alert. The place was misty and silent, and the first rays of morning light had yet to shine fully. As the morning breeze kept whistling, the birds frolicking, the boy suddenly heard the rustling of leaves from a nearby bush.

Out of nowhere, A tall man jumped out from the bush behind and rushed at the boy with fearful agility. The attentive boy dodged the assault with a small smile on his face.
As the boy evaded, he jumped several feet back; he threw the knives attached to his belt at the man and yelled:
"Hatsu! Bluster Darts!"
Three months ago, Kite had chosen to remain on the Island and postpone his quest for a few months. Since he found out about Gon, his plans had changed.
Kite was appalled that his master hid such an important secret. He even met his two other relatives, Mito and Abe.
Kite couldn't believe how Ging had renounced his people. He couldn't resolve himself to leave the Island like this, so he chose to stay and train Gon. The kid was gifted and planned to look for Ging after becoming a hunter. Shortly he could become an invaluable help and a comrade, so Kite had every reason in the world to support him.
As time passed, he and Gon learned more about each other. The kid also grew more durable as they sparred. Now, Kite considered Gon as his disciple and decided to impart as much as he could to the little man in five months.
He knew it wasn't a long time to master the depths of nen, but to someone like Gon, who was already well versed in basics, it was more than one could ask. Kite found out that insisting on fundamentals was optional and decided to focus on advanced techniques and their combinations.
During this process, Kite was impressed by Gon again. Gon mastered all the "aura containment" skills and their applications in three days. It seemed that he was already familiar with concealment concepts thanks to his lifestyle on the Island. His senses honed because he hunted animals or fished every day.
Gon then learned the other nen techniques in record time. The most time Gon needed was to create the "aura release" skills because he deliberated. Kite, who was a veteran, knew better than to press the boy.
A release skill should never be completed in hastiness, especially when devising the first one. A careless mistake could thwart a future.

But since Gon was born an enhancer, he didn't need to devise an intricate technique. The "Hatsu" release skills of enhancers grew naturally along with their users. Enhancers were the perfect weapons, and their offense, defense, stamina, and recovery, were beyond comparison among other users. Enhancers only needed to toughen their bodies, organs, or master the control of their energy for their skills to evolve.
For all these reasons, the first skill the boy designed was straightforward. The concept was to force the opponent not to dodge his weapons. For every attack evaded, his nen and recovery grew stronger. Kite was worried that Gon wouldn't have enough items to throw, but he soon noticed that the kid always hid more than he could detect.
Kite found the ability exciting, and it would become even more perfect if combined with a manipulation mastery. However, Kite told Gon not to waste his energy on too many fields. It was already dominant.
He was engrossed and knew Gon would become fierce once he mastered close combat. Since the skill forced the opponent to block, it couldn't be less adapted for someone with an enhancer nature.
"I wonder how he thought of such a strong skill on his first try. The kid might become as unpredictable as master Ging with proper exercise."
"Too bad, he went and released another skill so quickly."
Kite sighed before unsheathing his sword and parrying the attacks.
Third Person POV (Gon's Perspective)
The boy who was releasing his "Hatsu" skill had a different view from Kite concerning his new abilities. When Gon created his first release skill, he completely shattered a commonly accepted belief among nen scholars.
This belief was kind of a misinterpreted taboo. Nen holders shouldn't develop more than three special skills. The reason was that it was time-consuming. Sometimes it took years or even decades to become familiar with one ability. With the addition of new skills, people had to divert attention. Instead of becoming an expert in one area, they would be amateurs in many ones.
Wing, in his last life, qualified such nen masters as "Jack of all trades" and "master of none."
Kite said that only chosen ones like Hunter association president "Netero" could master more than three release skills and yet still retain terrific battle efficiency.
Thanks to the box, when Gon created his skill, he was able to ascertain one thing. He had yet to get an inspection skill so he couldn't judge other people's abilities. But what he found out was just as precious. All the Nen skills Gon created counted as skills in that box. Not only that, but each additional "release" skill would grow along with the initial "Hatsu" skill.
He was aware that Kite had misgivings due to him being so anxious. But his bet turned out to be right, so he didn't care.
It was how his Nen skill looked like now:
<
Nen: Level 2
STR+2/FIT+2/WIS+2/DEX+2/PERC+2/CHA+2/VERS+2/COMP+2
Nature:
Enhancement Nen: Level 2
STR+6/FIT+6/DEX+2/PERC+2
Branch skills:
Hatsu: Level 1
-Bluster Darts (enhancement): Level 1
A skill that allows the user to enhance his power and recovery every time his weapons are avoided.
-Scissors (transmutation): Level 1
A renowned stance from the rock, paper, and scissors game of chance. Turns into a sharp weapon when used with nen.
Gon smiled as the two of them battled for thirty seconds before he was easily overpowered. It made Gon wonder how this strange box would appraise Kite.
The observation ability he had found cost two million Jennys. It was a lot cheaper than the transmutation nature he wanted but still too expensive for him at the moment. Kite would have lent him the money if he asked back then, he just wasn't sure how he would react now.
They didn't know each other that well, and he also didn't want the man to ask him where the cash would go.
A month later and it was finally the day of Kite's departure.
Another two months later and Gon finally decided to leave the Island. He had spent too long trying to convince his aunt to let him go. It wasn't until the boy killed and brought back a gigantic shark barehanded for the villagers that she relented.

Soten (Book I in The Saga of Mira the Godless)
Anyone on the Isle will say Lady Mira caused the Twenty Years' War. While they're at it, they'll call her a witch, a whore, or a heathen, maybe all three in the same breath. Soten is Mira's version of the story. Captive in a Northern village, Mira expects brutality from the rough climate and harsh Northerners. Instead, she discovers a land where people speak their thoughts out loud, where women are free to be with any they desire, and those who divine messages from the gods are listened to, not burnt at the stake. Mira's idyllic new life is threatened when she hears of her brother's growing army to the south; she doesn't need rescuing; she's far too attached to the life she's building (and the lighthearted raider who is quickly becoming a central part of it). Then she meets Arik, the enigmatic Norsern king, a man who has drastic plans for next season's raids, plans that involve the sister of a great southern commander. To Mira, this is a story about love. To the rest of the world, it is a story about war. Book II: KAKEN coming soon!

RELINQUISH
Sometimes I wonder why the world isn't decorated with something as cool as magic... Why can't we manipulate the laws of the world? Why does the story about God sound too fake to be believed? Why the hope for this world to be saved from the bottom of everyone's heart can never be fulfilled... Then I landed on each conclusion from each of those questions... That humans are the most cunning, meanest and stupidest creatures who are most desperately expected to not have any power including magic itself. That it is not God that we should believe in, because they themselves do not believe in how disgusting human nature really is. That everyone's hope is not for the world to be saved, but for the world to be destroyed in order to save their own selves. That the world from the beginning, was not meant to be saved... (I frequently revise and update the use of sentences in the previous chapters without disturbing the original storyline. so sometimes it takes me a little longer to publish a new chapter.) I have the same novel posted on another website (Webnovel.com , creativenovels.com) with the same name (RELINQUISH)
