《Hunter x Hunter: Gon Freecs, The Multiverse Gamer.》Prologue

Night,
At the ends of a dark valley, in the depths of a gloomy building.
A young boy was kneeling, looking defeated, resigned even. He no longer had any ounce of energy left in his arms, and his demeanor left him particularly exposed.
In front of him stood a creature that looked nothing human. The monster had the head, fur, and limbs of a cat, the clothes and hair of a human. The monstrosity, however, had somewhat of a sorry look when glancing at the boy.
"You liar." Gon told Neferpitou.
He couldn't accept the harsh reality which thumped him. Kite was dead. Moments before, he still had hopes of healing him and end this elongated distress.
Gon didn't know other than to get his way and resolve dilemmas with sheer stubbornness. It didn't matter how big the issue was. His mindset was that when solutions didn't exist, people shaped them through gritted teeth and pain.
This time, nevertheless, the boy learned that there wasn't a darn thing he could do to change things. Even if he lost his hands now, it would not help revive the lifeless body lying close by. It was all too late.
If his best friend Killua and him had been more reliable, they wouldn't have had to run away from the cat monster. They could have faced the terrifying Chimera ant with Kite, and the latter wouldn't need to fling them away.
The man took it upon himself to face the abnormity single-handedly. He probably knew death was coming, but still tried not to implicate the young boys. If he had used them as decoys, he presumably could have fled.
Gon hated himself, and today he projected that anger and helplessness towards his best friend on their way to Pitou's nest.
Right now, Gon went through a horde of emotions, but above all, he was throbbing. The pang of fathomless guilt was so excruciating that it impeded his breathing.

He recollected how everyone talked about Ging Freecs. He felt as if he had let himself and his father's name down. Kite only acknowledged Gon because he was his master's son. He helped Gon ever since that time on whale Island. Just thinking about how the man saved him from the fox bear Gon couldn't endure anymore.
"Why..." The boy asked with a bloodthirsty tone. The voice was aggrieved, and it felt as if it came from the depths of hell.
Neferpitou, who sensed the pain in the voice, felt a shiver run through her spine for the first time in her life.
Gon's demeanor and aura changed at that moment. He stood up and lifted his head to look at the creature that he hated to the point of madness.
Just when he was about to succumb to lunacy, he felt a terrible ache coming out of nowhere. The pain was abrupt, oppressive. Even with the high dose of adrenaline rushing through Gon's veins, the stress was so overbearing that he canceled the enhancement and lay down in pain.
When he was latching on to his head, full of openings, another strange matter took place. A floating screen loomed in the darkness with words that wrote:
"Dimensional outlaw number A57, Hisoka Morow, transgression type S05 added to count. Soul barrier activation, soul travel in 1...2...3...."
"What the hell is this?!" Gon dementedly asked as he suffered through another wave of pain.
Pitou, who was already anxious to heal Komugi, took advantage of that unexpected disturbance to put an end to this time-wasting farce.
"Don't blame me, human. It is all for my King." Gon heard as Pitou lunged at him with sharpened claws. He realized in horror that there was no time left to dodge; his body definitely wouldn't be able to move away in time.
As the attack transpierced him, all he could hear before his heart stopped, and his vision went dark, was the sound of a bell.
Ding!
The host is dying. The soul barrier has not suffered damage, Memories sealed.
Reincarnation Process starting!
Dimensional travel in 3,2,1.

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.

A Demon's Journey
Cole wasn’t expecting to be threatened with decapitation the morning before his high school graduation, but alas, The Tower was practically meant to train humans to slay demons like him. Even if his new reality was bleak, Cole didn’t intend to idly adhere to it. There were four tiers to clear The Tower, but could Cole trust his new companion to guide him through them? Could he really make it to the top with essentially everyone trying to kill him? Even if he could, would he be able to survive the world that awaited him beyond The Tower’s walls? Cover by Jack0fheart Certain tags won't fully manifest until later in the series, so that's something to keep in mind. This is my first novel, so go a little easy on me. All feedback is highly appreciated!

Short Stories
So these are just a few, very short, stories that I just had to write. They tend to focus on different things, as and when they come to me. They'll most likely be fantasy, and not very long. At all. Honestly, I'm putting them up here so they don't just sit on my hard drive. Kind of sad to think of imagination unshared. Edit: If you could provide some feedback on what you read, I would appreciate it. I do just post these here, and will continue (as and when) to do so.Thank you.
