《Blood Ties: Lastborn of Akatosh (Elder Scrolls/ Skyrim / Naruto)》CLARIFICATION BEFORE READING THIS READAPTATION
Advertisement
If this is a readaptation of a fanfiction, then why are you cutting up some parts and even changing the story?
Answer:
Originally, I NEVER intended to change anything in the 22 chapters of Igornerd’s fanfiction. I just want to make my own continuation after the 22 chapters of Igornerd, where my own original chapters will start (and changed the power level of the dragonborn). That’s it. That was my original plan for this fanfiction.
I also clearly clarified in every chapter and in the description that I am not claiming any ownership to Bloodties. And made sure to credit Igornerd everytime.
BUT!
Some people still raised their concerns about me possibly trying to copy paste the original chapters. haa…smh, Yep, I did that because of what I had mentioned on the above.
And because honestly, if I just uploaded my own chapters without the first 22 chapters, how in the world will the readers understand what happened before the events of my chapters then?
*NO, You don’t have to answer, because I DID try that first. Here’s the Dramatized Version on the Making of this Trash adaptation of mine:
Episode 1
I uploaded my own first chapter that’s set after the events of the original 22, which I just linked igornerd’s fanfiction on the description, advising the readers to check it out first before reading mine.
Aaaaaannnnd it wasn’t successful. It was a confusing messy upload. And here’s what happened next…
Those who read my mess of a chapter requested instead that:
“You should copy igornerd’s fiction before the events of your adaptation in your story. Just add those first chapters in order for us to better understand your fanfiction.”
The newbie stupid me asked them:
“Won’t this be called plagiarism?”
They replied:
“There’s no problem as long as you are correctly crediting Igornerd, claimed nothing from his work, and put it under the Fanfiction tag.”
*So, I followed their advice and did just that. (btw I first released this on FB and I deleted the post later because it gathered grammar Nazis and these people were fighting over the comments -_- )
*Also, I chatted with few fanfiction readers who advised me not to touch the chapters, not to cut, not to change anything unless it’s necessary, like on the dragonborn part which is essential to my chapter.
So the newbie me copied and pasted Igornerd’s chapters, credited him and inserted source links, uploaded it as a whole with my chapter. I didnt change the title. I just used a simple “Blood Ties- Fanfiction” with same chapter titles as the original. I uploaded it the next day with Fanfiction tags.

Episode 2
AAAAAND LATER…
I received new concerns.
New set of People that advised me to make my own revisions on the original 22 chapters to make my fanfiction different from Igornerd’s, which btw they also raised the issue of “me of copying also the title”.
But the real reason why I didn’t change the title and chapter titles is because of what happened in episode 1; I never intended to even upload it with my chapter in the first place. I didn’t change anything because like what others had advised me, it is to respect the original author’s work. However these new people had a new different answer to me, which was:
“Dude, you shouldn’t be afraid to change some of it because it’s a fanfiction right?”
“And you aren’t even stealing it under your name. You worry too much. Think of this: if it was not allowed, then ALL writers and authors in Fanfiction.net should be behind bars then.”
My fellow fanfiction readers who advised me previously in episode one not to touch or change anything, agreed to this people. Telling me that it was a good idea. (probably because their main reason is they wanted to see a powerful dragonborn)
**just imagine, how the entire situation escalated. I just want to write an adaptation after the original 22 chapters… and now I was pressured also to change some of the plot in those chapters. -_-
My greatest fear in changing much of the story is the consequence of ruining it. Especially when I am not a good writer.
But I took it as a challenge instead, I received it with positive thinking that this may help me improve as a writer.
As such, as an answer to their concerns…
I started revising the fighting scenes and some plot while not changing much to the main plotline so that the readers of the original could still see some similarities. Because again, this is a fanfiction of Igornerd’s series with a different route.
In addition to that, I also changed the title and released it under, “Lastborn of Akatosh” with altered chapter titles.
(I am still a newbie writer, and my smol breiin had very limited imagination so the revisions were done one at a time/ few parts only or at very slow rate. Some scenes however remained untouched like the introduction of baby Minato, winterhold arc, the beautiful and great connection between the moons of both fictions, which got my full attention after reading that and etc.)
I didn’t remove the Fanfiction tags, Credits and source links to Igornerd.

I was finally relieved when I finished changing the fighting scenes and promised to make more possible revisions later that will make it better. I gave my close bookworm friends a chance to read this one and they liked it. Checked and followed Igornerd like I did. I went to sleep, prepared myself for work the next day while dreaming of the possible plot that I could add on the story.
And also having a foreshadowing that there will be new people who will have discontent on what I did once again.
Episode 3
Days later after that upload…
I opened my phone on my way home from work and pooof!
New Issues and Concerns… or was it even new?
New set of readers asked why I cut, edited and changed the original chapters of Igornerd. Few also complained why I used another title.
Whut… I sighed and facepalmed.
I felt at that time that this will just keep on repeating until I probably lose my drive to write more.
At first I thought that being a fanfiction writer is the easiest because all of the lores, characters, events and story were already there for you to work with. You don’t have to struggle in thinking or inventing new things unless you want to make the story interesting or new.
With this, I finally discovered and understood the main problem & cause why some fanfiction writers stop writing their good Fanfiction series.
My close friend who were one of the first people to read my first attempted adaptation and heard about this new development, advised me that:
“No matter how much you try to avoid any haters by pleasing everyone, haters will always hate something. You cannot please everybody.”
Then I remembered a short funny story BUT had real life lessons, the story about a father, a son and their water buffalo. In short, what happened in that story was that the father and son tried to please everyone they meet, and as a result they lost their animal, gained nothing then became a laughingstock.
This is when I decided to just write what I like.
This is where I decided to combine both titles and it became, “Bloodties: Lastborn of Akatosh”
I can neither write anything nor even a single chapter if I try to please everyone at this point.
So instead, I will just write what I think is good and love as a fanfiction of a fanfiction and consider the reviews, if criticisms and corrections were worth taking notes or not.
And finally, to clarify that I HAVE NO INTENTION to steal or plagiarize this, I will now credit Igornerd on every chapters where I used his terms or awesome worldbuilding plots WITH STAT PERCENTAGE to make the readers know how much I changed from the original.
Once again, my current motive for this fanfiction is to write an alternative “WHAT IF” scenario of Igornerd’s fanfiction where the Dragonborn is STRONGER.
And to put more weight and sincerity to my words and to make sure that (which I hope) nobody would badly misunderstand what I am doing again later, I will also clarify that I do not intend to monetize or make money out of this.
I will continue writing this even if I don’t receive a penny from this.
I will continue writing this even if theres only nine people reading this. (*My fellow bookworm friends lol)
I wrote this purely for fun and for wishfulfillment in getting a continuation after the Original 22 Chapters. And released it for public in order to get contructive recommendations on how to make it better, because I can’t always see my own flaws. Like what I said in my description, I am more of a reader than a writer.
So once again, you may treat my adaptation as trash spin off/ garbage route of a scenario where “it has a powerful dragonborn” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(Btw my first adaptation was a mess after the situation escalated and quite inconsistent with the current story. As such was subjected to overhaul)
And I am not a native English speaker. It’s obvious from the incorrect tenses and had awkward clunky sentences. So please, don’t hesitate to correct me or raise your concern to me. I am very open to everything as long as it is contructive and reasonable.
The end. And I hope this will be the true end of it.
Additional Note:
Due to the exhausting nature of my Job and my time in focusing also on refining the earlier chapters, my update will now be on a slower rate; one chapter per 5 days.
The edited Versions of the earlier chapters is out and marked with 2.0
(But still, these versions were not the final state as they may be subjected again to more revisions in the future. Probably if I get more ideas on how to make it better or if I found a good suggestion on the reviews/comments) \\(>w<\\)

Child of the Ancients: An Apocalypse LitRPG
It all started in the middle of Dante's nap. He wanted to sleep his life away, but the system denied his request. Instead, it began to transform the Earth, integrating it into the multiverse by granting everyone stats and skills. He was talented, or so the system thought. And that meant he needed to be challenged. After being sent into a deadly cavern, Dante strives for the future he's always desired. But when he learns about the secrets hidden within him, he's shaken to his very core. He wishes for the nightmare to end until something goes wrong. [The world will end in one year.] Instead of everyone receiving a relatively gentle tutorial, the people of Earth are deemed redundant. Dante makes it his goal to save as many people as he can before the world ends, but with billions of lives at stake, he might have to turn into a monster before he can become a hero. Planned updates (2500+ words): M/W/F. 12pm AEST/ 9am EST. M-F during Writeathon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: All system apocalypse novels seem to jump straight over the apocalypse itself, which I find very sad. I don't want this to turn into a typical fantasy novel in about ten chapters. Instead, I hope to explore the destruction of society and how things would look if superpowers suddenly appeared in the real world. Before the real apocalypse happens, of course. There will be base building, and likely romance once things settle down. Also dragons, because they are awesome :)

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
