《Minglings》Status Update

Hey guys! It's been a while. I thought it was time for an update, as NBB3 is nearing completion and I've had a few messages over the last few months about the state of Minglings.
I'd planned to begin adding to Minglings directly after NBB3 finished, but when I read through the first chapters last week, I got a bit of shock. Let's just say that the quality of my writing... is not as good as I remembered.
I couldn't even read it as is, so last week, I bit the bullet and decided to rewrite/heavily edit it. I'll also change a few plot things and characters as from the first to the last chapters things had lost some consistency. I can't promise any schedule, and will only re-release Minglings on RoyalRoad after reaching chapter 54. Until then, the chapters will be popping up on my Patreon when I have the time. I can't and won't promise a timeline, as between a new job, finalizing NBB3, and writing Kernstalion, I've got a lot on my plate. Still, I like the story of Jake and Mason, and can't let it rest any longer.
I'll post another message here as soon as I re-release, with a link to it. In the meantime, if anybody has a good idea for a cover, let me know?

Sabela also wants to avenge the death of her mother, who was a Son of the Sun adventurer killed by the fearsome Monster King Maeloc. He is a sinister character who moves in the shadows of the Kingdom as he weaves an evil plan to end it up. A few days after her birthday, she defeats a monster that wanted to eat her brother in the forest. Sabela decides that she will become an adventurer. However, it won't be easy for her as she dies in her first fight. Fortunately, this is not the end of her adventure, because Sabela receives a gift from a mysterious force: 900 more lives, which she can use to become a legendary adventurer and put an end to the life of her mother's murderer, Maeloc. This is how Sabela begins her adventure, one in which she will meet allies such as Rodolfo, a somewhat snooty healer, Melinda, a bit irritating snotty wizard, and Laura, an art history teacher who doesn't know really well what she is doing in a fantasy world. Together, they will face a multitude of dangers, but the question is... Will 900 lives be enough for Sabela to defeat the evil Monster King?

Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universe. A century ago, the eons-old war between the Autobots and the Decepticons suddenly and inexplicably came to an end. Since then, many have gone their separate ways, whilst others still hold onto the bitter memories of war. Now, as Autobots and Neutrals join forces in a new directive to capture every Decepticon still left alive, it appears that the Autobots will finally get their chance to even the score, and defeat their enemies once and for all. But when they become the target of seemingly random, yet terrifying attacks, some begin to realize that the enemy may be much closer to home than anyone could have ever imagined. Author's Notes: While it helps to have a little bit of prior knowledge about the world of Transformers, you don't need to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this story, or even a Decepticons fan! One thing I can say for sure is that it is unlike any Transformers fan fiction you've ever come across. This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed.
