Why did I even try to atain power in the first place?

Oh right. It was because of her anyways. She had always been giving me things. And always bugging me to return something to her.

And so when I did, she cried and screamed that it was an undead.

Seriously. I don't get women.

So I wanted power. To move up from being death, so that I could be something else as well. Maybe then I could give something back to someone.

As the fist of one of the candidates chosen by the world was about to snuff out my exsistence, it stopped.

The person in question then laughed.

Perhaps he realised why I wanted to move on. Pathetic isn't it?

Suddenly, I found myself in the air, then back to his house I had wrecked.

Actually, I was on top of it.

He took out the beast heart from oh guess where. A random place where pieces of bricks were piled up.

Then, he destroyed it in front of me.

Yep. I completely lost. Perhaps it was his intention of showing me how fruitless my action were.

I'm not even suprised he just destoryed something near unbreakable with a single hand anymore. His hands came down. This was it. For some reason, Life flashed before my eyes.

Then, he let me go.

To that, all I could actually say was a "Thanks".

3rd POV

Matthew pretended to have a depressed look on his face, when the academy city investigators and Dominic's siblings arrived.

"So... it was at the last floor. We... were placed through a sea... perhaps a fake sea.. I don't know. There, we were to win against monsters beyond our comprehension as well as pirates alongside the storm. The waves were high, we were struggling, in the end, as a last desperate attempt to save me.. Dominic.. he... he jumped into a krakens mouth with a grenade..." Matthew was having fun while making up a sob story for the academy investigator.

"After that... a strange voice talked to me... then I got this mark on my hand" Matthew ended his story as he showed the solomon's seal on his right hand.

"Alright. I will report this back to the city" the investigator acknowledged with a slight look of pity in his eyes.

"You've been through alot" he said.

"So brother he..."

"Dominic..."

The two siblings had an extremely sad look in their eyes, Almost appearing to be in tears. But Matthew knew this wasn't the right momment. Something strange had rubbed on to Matthew.

The academy investigator went away. Giving space to the three of them.

"Benedict... Mitsuha.... Dominic actually has left me a final message for the two of you.." Matthew solemmly told them, as Mr David silently watched.

"Wha... what is it?" Benedict's voice trembled.

"He'll be back for dinner" Matthew said.

"huh?"

"huh?"

Two voices were puzzled, as Matthew couldn't control himself anymore and bursted out laughing.

Even Mr David spat out saliva. Before returning to his calm demeanor with a rather resisted smile on his face.

Then, Matthew was hit with the fist of two people who had been training martial arts.

"Wait a minute... hurry up and chase after the investigator to tell him the truth!" Mr David shouted at Matthew, who broke into a sprint.

Then, Mr David looked at the two siblings.

And he broke out into laughter.

The two of their faces flushed red.

"I'm lookin for bro da!" a cute little voice spat out against her very own mother.

"Mommy is a Lia ar" she broke down her words, as she ran out of the house.

"What happened?" the father asked his wife.

"Its just... When she asked me... I just.. told her that his never comming back..." the wife sobbed.

"honey..." the husband was consuling her.

"Shouldn't you go chase after her?" the wife asked.

"She's probably back at the swing again." the husband replied.

Then, a few minutes passed, as the door swung open again.

"See see? Mommy lie d" a happy voice resounded through the house.

And next to the source of the happy voice, a familiar beta held the tiny little hands of the source.

"I'm home" he announced.
