I reviewed my notifications as I hadn’t done it in a while. I whistled as I continued to walk down the hallway as I listened to the screams turn to one filled liquid and then cut off. I had decided to increase my strength with one point and perception with two, I was so glad I had the vampiric strength ability. I had to wonder what the next level of it would be.
As I walked past the broken table in the hallway I noticed my reflection in the mirror. I had to stop and stare. I had guessed I would look insectoid but for some reason, I felt a little sci-fi with how the chitin conformed to my body. All sleek angles while still looking like chitin covering a human-shaped insect. The only thing really giving it away was the fact I had chitin covering along the rim of my years and the front of my face looked a little like a fanged mask.
I opened my mouth and had to exclaim a little. “Holy shit!” I said as I found the whole thing rather surreal as the fanged mouth on the ‘mask’ opened as well.
This was so cool! I felt giddy as I looked over my new face, the angled eye slits served rather well, not obstructing my vision as much as I’d have suspected. I flinched a little as the shadow infusion wore off and the armour turned white. I looked down at myself and noticed that it looked rather like fresh chitin. Like how most insects looked white when they had moulted or just born. Then I noticed my clothing. It was rather ripped to shreds and just barely hung on my frame. I remembered that when it was just the green gel-like substance the clothes did strain a little. It seemed the chitin was just thick enough to go beyond what my clothing could strain with. Then again the previous clothes had ben a little tight.
I just had to hope what Campbell had left me in way of clothing would be enough. Then I had a thought. If I had the chitin on while I got dressed I could tighten the clothing to the point I could have the chitin under them.
It was worth a shot at least. With that in mind, I looked back at the mirror and focused, much like I had with the gel substance of the abilities previous form. Slowly I saw the chitin move in plates, I guess. It was really like a slowly opening sci-fi helmet as it opened up around my face and then peeled back until above my neck wasn’t covered in chitin any longer.
Oh, this was so damn cool! I smiled a goofy smile as I almost danced in place, I knew I was pretty much thirty years old, give or take, within the body of a twenty-four-year-old but I didn’t care if I looked like a kid. If I couldn’t enjoy things with almost childish glee then what was the point in living?
I couldn’t just focus on my revenge, right? Granted I would do everything in my power to actually get my revenge but then again it didn’t mean I couldn’t goof off and have fun when the situation allowed for it.

I was pulled out of my revelry by a loud DING! In my head and I recoiled as I brought both hands up to my ears. It had been so loud and sudden my mind felt almost like it had been split in two, almost. As I got over the pain that had caused I turned as I heard the clacking of bone on wood. I widened my eyes as I saw the leader of the pack I had raised.
It looked like a wolf with the same type of chitin as I could make but it seemed a bit more focused on showing muscles. I realized it was all bones and quickly checked his status.

Daaaaamn. He could give me a run for my money with some of his skills. I really wanted to try shadow infusion since he had evolved but I didn’t want to risk it. I didn’t want to deal with him stronger and most likely much more vicious than a normal wolf.
It stared up at me and I noticed that the ethereal pinpricks of the other skeletal wolves wasn’t there for him. Instead, there were two perfectly defined ghostly deep blue eyes. The blood on his muzzle reminded me a bit of the Norse mythological stories I had grown up with.
“You are going to need a name.” I said as I walked up to him and went down on a knee to begin petting and scratching him. “Hmm, Fenris? Nah… both too cliché and I don’t see you as a Fenrir.” I muttered and the bone wolf let out a chuffed sound as if he agreed with me.
Huh. So he’s got vocal cords now? Or something similar perhaps? Oh well, I should focus on naming him.
The blood on his muzzle and the blood on his clawed paws went through my mind again and again. Then as if struck by thunder I realized what it was reminded me of! “Garmur!” I said with a smile and the wolf looked at me with curiosity before seeming to mull it over in his mind.
Damn these things are a lot smarter than normal undeads should be or am I missing something? Garmur then let out a light ‘wuff’ in agreement and seemed to smile at me. I smiled back and gave him, even more, scratches along the back of his head and down his neck.
“Good boy, Garmur.” I cooed and the wolf almost rolled over to get belly scratches, he seemed to catch himself as he heard the others coming back from killing Dunleavy.
I noted that they hadn’t evolved and I began to think that perhaps it was because he had managed to kill a little bit more than them. I thought that over as I began to give them all scratches.
I looked at my current maximum of skeletons I could raise and realized I could raise up to four more. I thought that through and looked over the skeletons, even at the horse as it trotted up to me and almost headbutted my chest.

“It’s like all of you are needy pets.” I chuckled as I began to scratch along the horses lower jaw and forehead bones. I did this as I thought about what to do next.
Once I had a decent idea I looked to Garm. “Garmur, take your pack-mates and find three ravens and bring them back. Kill them but don’t damage their bodies too much ok?” I commanded and as the wolf listened to me, he nodded and let out another gruff ‘wuff’ at me. I took it as his way of saying yes and smiled as the pack made their way towards the stairs.
I looked over to the skeleton horse and clapped along his jaw. “Now what to name you?” I muttered. I couldn’t really in good conscience name him Sleipnir, to begin with, I didn’t know how fast he was but he also didn’t have eight legs.
I continued to ponder this before I realized that I had raised the horse's corpse around a wall. Wasn’t there a horse associated with a wall in Norse mythology? I didn’t know why I wanted to keep to a Norse theme other than perhaps to have a little piece of home with me.
“What was his name again?… The horse helped build the walls of Asgard… fucked Loki who then gave birth to Sleipnir… Ah!” I snapped my chitin covered fingers and found the click of the motion kinda strange but ignored it afterwards. “Svadilfari.” I said with a smile.
The horse seemed to do the same head movement that they do when snorting loudly before it pushed against my chest. “I take it you like it?” I asked, not really understanding why I was asking this undead horse over his opinion.
Svadilfari simply bobbed his head up and down and then trotted by me. I was a little chagrined but then smiled a little and called after him. “Stay in the town! I want to send you out with the pack when they get back.”
As a response, he simply flicked his tail as he began to slowly descend the stairs.
I sort of snorted and chuckled at the same time before I turned back and looked down the hallway. I had to go through this house and see if there was anything worth taking. Perhaps Dunleavy had a safe stashed somewhere or some magic items?
Hmm… Perhaps it was that office he had run towards?
With a shrug I made up my mind and walked towards it, scratching a little at my beard. “Perhaps I should shave this off?” I muttered to myself as I thought of the feeling when I had the chitin helmet over my head.
Then again it might just be that I had to get used to it.
I clapped my hands and rubbed them together as I entered the office, though I did stop dead in my tracks when I did. There wasn’t a body lying there against the desk.
I hurriedly looked around and even actively focused on my tracking skill. Then as I looked over the entire office I realized what had happened.
“How the hell?” I muttered as I scratched the back of my head. My minions had literally devoured the man. There was nothing left of Dunleavy’s corpse. “Where the hell do they store all of that meat?” I wondered out loud before I shivered and shook my head. NOPE! Not going down that particular rabbit hole. Not in the slightest.
I began to look around the office. Pulling out books on the shelves of the left wall and reading their titles. “How to apply government to the frontier.” I read aloud before chucking it over my shoulder and took another one. “When to act and woo the woman.” I read before snorting in laughter as I tossed it over my shoulder once more.
When there was a pile of books behind me I placed the last one I had picked out from the bunch on the table. ‘Essential Enchantments’ lay there along with ‘An Examination of White Magics’, ‘A Discussion of the Maintenance of swords and swordsmanship’, ‘The Catalogue of Practical Alchemy ’ and ‘A Catalogue of Ancient Charms’.
I looked over the books and then at the huge stack of books I had tossed and sighed loudly. “He really didn’t have stuff of much use huh?” I muttered and then stopped, stiffening a bit.
“I’ve begun to talk to myself quite a bit...” I said out loud and I felt a little worried I might be slipping. Then again my only conversation companions were a bunch of mute skeletons. Well except for Garm but he couldn’t really speak now could he?
With a groan like a sigh I looked at the opposite wall from the bookcase. A huge painting of a tall man with a sword stuck in the head of an ogre which he also stood upon. It was clearly a trophy painting and as I peered a bit closer I began to laugh.
The painting was a glorification of Dunleavy’s ego, he was the subject of the painting!
I grimaced a little but then moved up to the painting and carelessly threw it off the wall. I had to laugh at the sight behind the painting. “You are such a cliché asshole aren’t you?” I laughed as I looked at the bloodstain, since it was all that was left of the man.
Behind the painting was a freaking safe! Right inside the wall, as if it was built in the wall, to begin with.
I rubbed my hands as the little greed goblin in my mind began to cackle at the possibilities of what this iron box could hold. Reaching with my had towards the safe I was thrown back as a bolt of electricity shot into my chest from a gem situated in the middle of the safe-door.
I groaned and was rather glad I wouldn’t be getting any books that would fall onto my head as I sat there dazed. I had smashed the shelves of the bookcase behind me and lay there with the broken boards on either side of me.
I sat there for a while staring hatefully at the safe as I muttered obscenities under my breath. I had half a mind of finding Dunleavy’s soul and destroying it if I could in revenge but then just sighed. Perhaps there was a key or something around here in the office. If not then hopefully somewhere in the manor.
I looked at the desk and pursed my lips a little. What had Dunleavy wanted to get exactly? I mean he did seem rather frantic to get here after all. Rubbing my chin I stood up and groaned a little as I felt the pain in my back. “I feel like I’m 90 years old.” I groaned as I felt my spine pop, one vertebra at a time.
I had to give out a contented sigh of pleasure when I felt it travel all the way up between my shoulder blades. Releasing tension I hadn’t even noticed I had there.
Looking at the area around the desk first I noticed a sword lying there. Raising an eyebrow I leaned down and picked it up slowly. The blade seemed rather well made and I felt a little like the immediate area around it was filled with static or something.
I peered at the blade a bit before I found the scabbard and sheathed it.
I immediately felt the feeling of static dissipate and I had to think it was a magic sword. If this was a magic sword then why hadn’t Dunleavy managed to destroy one or more of my skeletons? There was some sort of secret to this sword. I placed it with the books I had picked out and then searched a bit more around and under the desk before I looked over its surface with more scrutiny.
On top of it was a small bag, or purse rather inside was a bit of money and even a gemstone. Seemed to be green so I guess some sort of emerald or something. Tossing it to the books I continued and noticed there was a new book next to where the purse had been.
Opening it I saw it was a fully fresh book, no ink on the pages at all. I pursed my lips a little as closed it and looked at the cover. It was a royal purple and rather unassuming.
For some reason, I wanted to have the cover a black sort of leather with a raven on top of a skull motif embossed on its cover. That thought made me chuckle at myself. “I’m becoming an edge lord huh?” I laughed to myself before I shrugged and put the book with the others.
Might as well have my ‘new stuff’ to my liking right? Well, I might do the embossing if I even find someone to do it. I guessed I’ll have to see in the future.
Then as I swept up an inkwell and a quill to the pile I began to open the three drawers of the desk. All the drawers were arranged in a neat line along with the desk vertically along the top of it. I decided to keep the middle one for last and opened up the left one.
Inside was a simple magnifying glass, a box of matches and a single rolled-up scroll. I had to wonder at that last one and picked it up and examined it.
My eyes widened as I couldn’t believe it! A skill scroll! I had used one of these before, all one had to do was open the scroll and read the first line or so. I hesitated a little as I looked at the magnifying glass and picked it up.
I used it to examine the scroll a little bit guessing there might be some sort of secret that I hadn’t been told revolving around skill scrolls.
As I examined it I noticed that the seal on the scroll also had a magnifying glass. I wondered a little and then I decided to open it. I began to read through the top and then as I thought I had read enough a prompt popped up in my mind and I flinched a little.
You have found a skill scroll of Analysis! To activate this skill scrolls innate ability to impart a skill the user has to sacrifice a skill point to complete the action. If User decides not to sacrifice a skill point this scroll will become useless as it has been opened.
Will the user use a skill point to learn Analysis? Y / N (Remaining skill points: 1 )
Uhh yeah! I’d like to learn this skill! This might allow me to identify stuff and skip through stuff that isn’t valuable at all!
Skill Low Analysis lvl. 1 learned! Due to this skill belonging to the basic abilities tab the tab has been created. Please check your character sheet to see the levels of how basic skills evolve.
Once that popped into my head the scroll burst into green flames in an instant and then a moment later nothing was left, not even ash. “Whoa.” I half-whispered and then took the box of matches and put it with the books, it’d be useful on my journey.
‘Now then’ I thought as I eyed the right drawer and I felt my inner greed goblin rubbing his hands together. At first, I had simply thought of this part of me like the greedy dice goblin all those d&d meme’s were about. But now I’d come to realize this little bugger was just the mental representation of my greed.
A representation I kind of resented as I was sure he had pushed me somewhat to take all those skills and abilities when I had been given the options.
Then again it was a huge boon to have learned analyse and I ran my eyes over towards the sword as I reached out to the right drawer. I sucked a little on my teeth and then simply shook my head as I opened the drawer.
I was rather disappointed as I only saw a huge stack of documents crammed into the drawer. I sighed as I began to go over them quickly. Most of them were simple reports on supplies, land value after development and assessments of the land.
I sighed a little and then tossed the stack onto the pile of books I had thrown away. This wasn’t worth keeping. I drew out the middle drawer then and I sucked in a breath at the sight. Another scroll rolled up sat there with a dagger lying on top of it as well as an actual honest to god gold bar. I picked up the scroll and as I was about to analyse it I saw the chitin around my hand suddenly surged forwards and seemed to devour the scroll.
It happened so damn fast I could only blink as it took but the span of a single breath to devour the scroll. Then I grew angry as my hand went back into it’s shape of simple chitin covered gauntlet.
I clenched a fist and then began to shake with anger, before I banged my hand as hard as I could into the desk. A loud crack resounded as the desk caved in on itself as I roared at it in frustration. “God damn it!!!” I roared as I gripped the chair for the desk and threw it out the window behind the desk. I watched it sail through the air before crashing down onto the cobblestone street bellow and shatter.
I didn’t know who to be angry at as I had no freaking idea what had just happened. I was about to start going berserk on the rest of the furniture when I halted as a notification popped up in my head.
Please note! Due to compatibility with skill scroll it has been incorporated into defensive carapace. The next two skill points you will receive have been earmarked for this skill and you’ll need to upgrade defensive carapace to level 3 to gain access to the skill.
My eyes grew wide and I roared out even more as I fired a shadow infused, shadow strike added shadow bolt out the door. I huffed a little at the exertion and I heard the sound of a wall splintering when my bolt hit it.
I was livid! I’d have liked to see that as an option before that had happened darn it!
Congratulations! Basic Shadow bolt lvl. 2 has increased to Basic Shadow bolt lvl. 3!
I grimaced and groaned as I looked down into the pile that the desk used to be. Sighing heavily as I tried to let my anger leave my mind, I began to count to ten in my mind. When that didn’t work I counted to ten out loud.
It also didn’t work but I then tried the mental exercise of visualising all of my anger gather up into my mouth and then breathed it out. It helped a little and I wasn’t shaking with rage any more. I sucked at my teeth again in annoyance and then knelt down to look at the pile.
Rooting around in it I noticed the gold bar and the dagger. Picking up the dagger I noticed it was much lighter than it should be and unsheathed it. It was strange it looked almost like it was made out of obsidian. I flicked my finger against the flat of the blade and it sounded like glass.
With a raised eyebrow I activated analyse and frowned a little at what I got from it.
Item: Black Glass dagger.
Description: A Decorative dagger made of blackened glass. The blade is a little thicker than normal for a dagger but it is suspected that it is due to the blade being made out of glass.
I continued to frown as I read the results again and again. I felt there must be something more to this. I held the dagger up into the light from the window and smirked a little. Inside the glass I could see an outline of something thicker than than the glass itself.
I lightly tapped it against the floor, raising the strength I put behind the tapping until it broke and I smiled wider. Inside the glass was a key, worked into the hilt of the dagger. “Now I wonder what you go to.” I said as I looked it over.
I looked over the room and then my eyes were drawn to the safe. “No, It can’t be.” I muttered as I rose and walked to the safe and saw that there was a key hole but the key didn’t fit. I grumbled a little but figured I could find the key somewhere in this manor.
I was about to toss the key knife but right as I was about to I got a strange feeling. As if I needed it. I looked it over once more and found it a little strange. It seemed to be solid gold with a single gem inlaid in its tip creating a spike sort of tip to the key with around four teeth arranged in terms of height on either side, creating a sort of spike tipped triangle shape.
The handle was wrought in the form of a scaled snake where the key came out of the mouth of the snake, the hilt being its coils. I found the object rather strange and decided to appease my inner greed goblin and take it along with the gold bar.
I moved the stack of stuff I wanted outside the room and continued to root around it for almost half an hour. I ended up doing target practice with the discarded books by flinging them out the window and firing a shadow bolt at them. It was sort of cathartic actually, even though I maybe hit two out of every ten books I frisbee’d out the window.
It was a little fun since I noticed Svadilfari attempting to headbutt the books I missed but even he maybe managed one out of every eight books.
When I tossed the last one and watched it burst when the shadow bolt hit it I felt a sudden wave of exhaustion hit me and I almost fell to my knees. I had maybe shot around forty to sixty shadow bolts, with small breaks in between.
I began to think that perhaps the stamina and mana blend allowed me to use the spell much more than if it simply relied on mana. However, as I sat down to try and get my proverbial breath back I felt like someone had just hit my head with a sledgehammer. The headache was so severe that I fainted.
I woke slowly, something was nudging my face and as I opened my eyes I saw the skeletal grin of Svadilfari and Garm’s inquisitive eyes. I groaned a little as I slowly turned onto my stomach and then shakily got on all fours.
“Ugh… How long was I out?” I wondered out loud as I felt the mother of all hangovers pounding away in my head. It was like someone had decided to give a worker team jack-hammers to go nuts in my skull with.
Svadilfari tapped his hooves down on the floor two times and I looked up at him. “Hours?” I asked as I got up on my knees and rubbed my head. Svadilfari answered by bobbing his head up and down. I wondered not for the first time why my undead were so intelligent since they had been raised with the minor version of the skill after all.
Garmur looked at me and then seemed to narrow his eyes at me for a second before letting out his gruff ‘wuff’ sound. I raised an eyebrow at him and simply said with a light chuckle. “What? I got something on my face?”
The bone wolf cocked his head to the side and let out a confused whine at me. I simply smiled and patted the side of his head.
I let out an exhale as I stumbled to my feet and leaned against Svadilfara for balance. I had Garm search the house for a kitchen where I could get something to eat and drink. I noticed the little ‘to take’ pile I had made just outside the up turned office. I thought about sending Garm to look for a bag or something I could put it all into while I was eating.
Those thoughts went away however as I felt like my stomach wanted to eat me from the inside. How long had it been since I actually ate?!
Garmur came back rather quickly and lead me to the kitchen where I began to devour anything I could put into my mouth right away. “Garmur, can you go and get me a bag or something?” I asked him right as I ripped into a chunk of hard bread. It wasn’t really good to chew but it was certainly filling.
Garmur let out another quick ‘wuff’ and then left to explore the house. Svadilfari simply stood on the opposite end of the kitchen table and stared at me. I got a little uncomfortable with him just staring at me so I decided to have him search around the bottom floor. Not that I was expecting much from him but I didn’t really want him to just stand there and stare at me either.
Once I had finally filled my belly I let out a loud belch and sighed with contentment. It felt good to have a full stomach and I didn’t feel the pounding headache any more or the half lethargic feeling of my limbs either. I stood and walked outside to stretch a little while taking a bottle of whine with me.
Outside I saw the four other skeletal wolves sitting there with three dead crows in front of them. I felt a little like a drill sergeant with them standing there stiff and with almost military discipline. I raised my hand up and raised the crows as minor skeletons and the three shuffled and seemed to flip out before they got their feet under them.
Then they simply sort of hopped around a little and then looked up at me expectantly. I laughed a little and then picked up each to place on top of a wolf’s back.
“I’m going to have you guys start with searching through the manor. Anything of value or anything of interest is supposed to be put just outside each room you find it in all right?” I asked while looking over the wolves and they nodded at me.
I chuckled a little at the sight. “All right and also any key you find comes straight to me.” Then instructed before pointing back at the manor.
As the skeletons rushed inside I saw Garm and Svadilfara come out both holding bags for me. Svadilfari had found a large backpack type of bag while Garmur had found a sort of side satchel for me. I petted both and made sure to scratch them as they wished as a reward.
“Good boy’s~” I cooed at them before taking the bags and putting them on. “Can you maybe look around the manor for anything useful? Like a saddle or something? Barding for Svadilfara might also be good.” I said and both seemed more than happy to run around on the outside of the manor.
I smiled a little as I looked after them before I headed back inside to fetch the pile I had put up outside Dunleavy’s office. I placed the books and money into the side satchel and the gold bar and key into the backpack. The sword I held onto and decided to try to use analyse on it.
….. So what’s supposed to happen? I was a bit disappointed when nothing happened and tried to use it several more times but nothing happened. Perhaps it wasn’t at a high enough level? I sucked my teeth once more in annoyance and simply put the sword away into the backpack. “I need a bag of holding.” I sighed as I began to make my way to the first room that the wolves were rooting around in.
The first room seemed to be a guest room and the wolf there had a crow hopping around in the room while it literally tore through the room. There wasn’t anything useful though the wolf did trot over to me with a huge pillow in its jaws and I had to chuckle.
“What you need a pillow to sleep on?” I asked with a smile and the wolf began to shake his head as if he was tearing something apart and then down came flying over me and I couldn’t help but laugh at the wolves antics.
I decided to expedite the process and went from room to room, sending the wolves to the next room if there didn’t seem to be anything of interest in the room’s they were in. It took around another hour to finish rooting through the entire manor. I stared at the haul as all the wolves had decided to pile it up in the middle of the stairwell hall, instead of following my orders.
I was about to sigh but caught myself before I did, I’d been sighing quite a bit lately. Might become a habit if I continue this. Shaking my head I began to count the spoils of this little raid. I had found a decent amount of money, totalling around 3 gold coins, 30 silver coins, 89 copper coins and 334 iron coins. I also found a sort of metal gauntlet that reached up to a semi-pauldron which would be good to cover my right arm, it was the only useful bit of armour for me though and there had been a lot. The best part about it? Well, it fit over my carapace armoured arm.
A big dark grey cape with white fur all over the top of it so the fur would cover from my upper back and up, even came with a hood to help keep my head dry during rain. There were five wolf pelts that I decided to keep to see if I can’t use it to disguise my wolves with.
Svadilfari and Garmur also found a good barding for Svadilfara as well as a good saddle for the horse. And finally the key to the safe!
I looked at the assembled minions and smiled wide at them. “Great job gang!” I began with a wide smile on my face once I had stuffed everything I could into the bags and had the saddle slung over my shoulder. “Now I want you guys to go out into the woods and kill anything that you find, just don’t kill other wolves and try to go for monsters and the like. I want all of you to rank up at least so share your kills with Svadilfari and the ravens.” I commanded them and then waved them away.
I saw them sprint out with glee before I turned to walk back to the office. Once there I tried the key and let out a slight “Yusss!” When it fit. I turned it and the click that I heard when it opened was so satisfying.
When I opened the safe I was a little disappointed when I could only see an orb and a small sort of square bag that would fit on a belt. I frowned and analysed both items.
Item name: Bottomless coin purse.
Description: A merchant’s best friend, these expensive bags are said to be able to hold all the money in the world. No one has yet to find the limit to the wealth one of these bags can hold. They even negate the weight of the coins and valuables in a ration of 100:1 so that if the bag is filled with a 100 kg of coins it’ll only weigh 1 kg.
Okay, that sounds super useful!
Item name: Communication orb
Description: These orbs are created in pairs and can only communicate on the day of the week it was created on. Often used to deliver weekly reports from military outposts.
I grimaced a little and then simply put the orb back. Since it was tied to just one other I guessed it was to the rest of the Dunleavy family and I sure as shit didn’t want to talk to them. One of them was enough for me to deal with for a life time.
With that done I left the manor, for good. I realized I had spent almost half the day in the manor and frowned as I looked up at the sky. The sun would fully set in around an hour or so. I didn’t really like that I had wasted an entire day in the manor but then again I had gained quite a bit from it also so I guessed it was a win loose type of deal.
I stepped into Campbell’s house and put the stuff away there deciding to go ahead and check out what he had left behind for me. Not to mention I was eager to get my hands on that necromancy tome he had left behind for me.
I also had to go over those books I had gotten from the manor to see if they actually were useful as I had simply judged them by their titles after all.
I sagged into the chair that Campbell had sat in before and let out a tired exhale. I felt drained after the day but I knew I still had to stuff to do. I just hoped that I’d get through these things soon. I glanced at the table in the room I had first woken up in and almost shot up from the chair. There were two books on the table along with a scroll case. Though it was open and empty there were two scrolls rolled up next to it and I smiled.
That old man certainly could leave a going away present for someone. I resolved to seek him out once I had gotten to Trolgar and hopefully helped him out.

8 158Riddick/ Against the Heavens
SUMMARY: In a world where magic and magical beasts are omnipresent, the nature's law of strong ruling over the weak is followed everywhere. Controlled by Immortals who transcended the limits of mortality this world has mages and warriors as it's elites, all with the same goal of becoming an immortal. In the vast universe this world is an unremarkable one with no treasures but countless dangers where mortals are seen as nothing but cannon fodder for the strong. Riddick was born in this world as a son of a mere mortal. Join him in his journey as he paves a path to the epitome of immortality. He starts his journey with a small dream but will soon realise his destiny as the fate shows its cruelty.IMP NOTE : My work has no relation to Vin Diesel's Riddick movie. This is not a Riddick fan fiction but some thing which will come under Xianxia genre. Edit #1 - Please understand that this is my first work and I have improved a lot till the current chapter. I have yet to rewrite the beginning chapters and I am aware that they aren't really good. Still I hope you can read past the book 1 so you can enjoy the book just like many others who wait for it.Edit 2 # - This is an initial draft and sooner or later, I will definitely rewrite it all into an authentic book.Thank you, Gsd reddy.
