--------------------------------------------------------------------

Early morning;

Curled up in his sheets, he woke up to the sounds of birds chirping.

In a daze, he made his way into the washroom. After going through his cleansing routine, he got dressed up and went downstairs into the hall, however, breakfast was still not served yet.

Looking around, none of his relatives had arrived, he concluded that he woke up early. He used this opportunity to explore more of the estate.

Having hours to spare, he proceeded to the garden, from a distance he caught sight of the stable-man feeding his horses.

Approaching the man,

"Hello sir", he said with a graceful manner

The man merely gave a slight glance in his direction and then reverted quickly back onto doing his task.

"What brings you here, boy?"

"I want to learn how to ride a horse, sir"

"You like horses?"

"Yes, sir"

"Stop calling me sir! Name`s Herald"

"What`s yours?"

"Avaritia"

Herald had a good way of explaining, as his instructions were clear and simple to understand.

After Herald finished off his explanation, he walked into to stable and picked out a dark brown horses and herald escorted it to his position. Herald grabbed him by the waist and placed him on top of the horse.

Soon, he was galloping with the horse around the garden, enjoying the heavy morning breeze on his face.

"I have never seen anyone learn riding so well on his first try; you must be born a horse rider", Herald complimented.

"I will be back", he said aloud as he rushed back towards the mansion to make it in time for breakfast.

While in the hall, he took a seat while waiting for everyone to arrive. After a few minutes, everyone started gathering around the table.

However, along with mother and Aunt Hilda, three other children approached the table. Who are they? He wondered.

The boy took a seat beside him, surveying the boy, he had chestnut colored hair and desolate grey eyes which were squinted most of the times. The air around the boy was very threatening like making him seem distant and difficult to talk too. Beside the boy, the two other girls sat down, they had similar looks to Aunt Hilda, however, they lacked her silver hair, which would have enhanced they doll like faces.

Everyone now seated at the table. Aunt Hilda spoke up; "let me introduce to your cousins Avaritia"

She gestured towards the boy, "he is Malcolm, my son, he is 11 years old and he attends the Imperial academy in the capital. Sadly, you won`t see him for mostly because of the duration of their courses"

The she pointed to the girls, "my daughters Cynthia and Angela. Cynthia is ‘6’ yrs. old and Angela ‘7’, they also study at the academy"

Aunt Hilda in a soft tone said, "I am sad, you can`t spend time with them Avaritia. You also haven`t met your uncle Malvick, he is travelling the continents"

"We might see him in a few months"

After the introduction had been done, we all started indulging into our meal. The the atmosphere was very heavy no-one and nobody spoke a word. It was as if strangers sat at a table.

"Seems this family is not all that stable", he thought to himself.

After breakfast, his cousins were the first to leave; they quickly departed for their academy.

All alone, the intense urge to indulge into some flesh came rushing at him. Nonetheless, he suppressed it. It was not the right time to reveal his façade.

Staggering, he made his way to the study, where Aunt Hilda stood awaiting; there he was introduced to his tutor, ‘Sir Abigail’, who was going to teach you general subjects Avaritia dear.

Sir Abigail had a jolly personality; he started off with geography and history. He first explained about the 6 continents and which races governed over them.

Diabolos – a volcanic region where the most ferocious race dwelled Dragons

Epouranios – The entire continent was submerged in lush greenery, it sheltered the Elves.

Aionios - a mountainous terrain, where winter stayed dominant all year around, Dwarfs burrowed below the surface.

Prautes – a dark, foggy region where light could not thrive, where the proud vampire race secluded themselves.

Exousia – a continent which was a fusion of mountainous terrains and nature, where the were-beasts resided.

Ekklesia- was inhabited by us humans, the continent was divided into four parts; each governed by an empire, however, each part was managed a kingdom. We were currently located at the west side of Casaria, a capital city which was north of the human continent, Sir Abigail said in a soft tone.

He had memorized all of what tutor spoke, when he questioned; he surprised Sir Abgail with his quick and precise responses.

Sir Abigail then left the study after his teaching session. He then confronted mother right outside the study in the hallway, Miss Athena, Avaritia,

"your son is a very special, he can retain knowledge so well", I don`t think I will have much to teach him after a month looking at his prowess.

Seated at the table, he overheard their conversation.

"If I had just killed him and absorbed his memories it would be quicker", he thought to himself

"Today is so dull", he complained

He coldly observed the panel, before it disappeared

He smiled to himself. "Killing people just got more fun", he whispered

At that bit, Aunt Hilda barraged into the study with my mother. Aunt Hilda bore a happy smile.

"Avaritia dear, your tutor said you were a genius!", Aunt Hilda spoke, moving towards him, she wrapped her hands around him and gave a tight hug.

"Avaritia dear, you make your mother and me so proud!"

"Such a nice woman, it`s sad ‘that I have to kill her sooner or later"

"Sorry Aunt Hilda", he said aloud

"What for Avaritia, dear?"

"Just in precaution in advance", he gave his smiled vibrantly.

"Your magic tutor will arrive after some time, so till then go have some food"

"Ok, Aunt Hilda", he then strode of into the hall. Stacks of dishes were set up on the table.

Settling himself on a chair, he started chowing down his food in an elegant way.

"people will start dying soon enough", he grinned at the thought.

After finishing his meal, he went back into the study taking his time. There, a man with black silky hair and a pale face peered at him.

The tutor gestured him towards his seat, after he sat, the tutor proceeded with his introduction.

In a stern tone he said, "first you should refer me by Sir Albert. I am responsible for teaching you magic/sorcery"

"You can call it what you want"

It is most basic to know that, to conjure any spell you need mana, and a good sized mana capacity, he spoke in a stern tone.

Sir Albert looked at him intently trying to estimate his potential.

Then, the tutor supervised him on how to conjure the basic elements (earth, water, fire, wind, and lighting). The tutor’s explanations would be sophisticated to understand if it were any other child.

"Is this tutor trying to discourage me"

At the beginning no tutors start with conjuring of basic element at first, but instead with mana control, so people learn how to wield mana properly.

"Snap out of the daze and focus on your task boy", Sir Albert barked

Sir Albert seemed shocked, when he managed to conjure all the basic elements at the same time, without a need to chant. The tutor looked shocked and agitated, and then all of a sudden he mumbled, "your magic session is over and scuttled out of the room"

"Darling, did you say something to make him leave; your tutor looked really depressed when he left"

"I didn`t mommy"

"I guess he got surprised by a kid doing chant less conjuring and elemental fusion", he thought

"It ok, darling, mother gave him a pleasant hugs, letting go after a while"

"Tomorrow, we will continue your combat classes, it`s already late, so time to go to bed", mother said

"Yes, mommy", he said with a cute tone.
