《Biomancer: Songs of Sirens》Journey

I frown as I say, "If you says so. The feelings between The Fog and the Melotic Empire are hatred at best. I'm not expecting a warm reunion or anything."
Gorge shakes her head as she says, "I wouldn't expect a reunion at all. Few races are willing to accept their kind off of mental traits alone. Have you ever seen a deformed man walking through your streets? Do you ever remember the intense aversion you had to stomach before you could even listen to any of his words?"
My frown transforms into a scowl before I say, "It's surprising how little faith you have in people."
She stares at me ebbing her discomfort and experience as she rasps, "My words leak the truth you try to hide. I won't say anymore."
Harlow nods before he says to me, "Regardless, we need for you to move and quickly."
I rinse my concerns from my mind before I say, "Yeah, alright."
Bordore purses his lips as he says, "It would be best if you and Allure could scout ahead. You could use a charge of your ice form for moving, or we could give you a few units for transport if you want. Citizens of the country side will react poorly to them, so be weary."
I wave my hand before I shift my footing as I say, "Allure and I will handle the journey. With these augmentations to my physique, there isn't really anything that can hurt me in nature any longer."
A small grin forms on Gorge's lips before she says, "Heh, there's a few creatures that roam the hills that might cause you trouble...Just be ready."
------------------------------------------------------
Teralla sits waving her feet in the water as I dash through the water. Something funny twinged in my chest a few minutes ago. I didn't like it. I would prefer being able to see Pyrex since he seemed like he was distressed early. As my thoughts race, Teralla interrupts me as she claps the water twice signaling the need to speak.

My head darts above the water as I say, "What is it?"
After several weeks of Pyrex and I fooling around, I found my songs above water to clarify. My tattoos brim with energy while my vitality overflows at all moments. It's amazing, but the trouble I cause Pyrex creates aches in my heart. I don't want to watch him suffer. This never prevents my nature from taking over during the heat of the moment however.
Teralla says snapping me from my stupor with her concern, "Pyrex transitioned into a hivemind Allure."
I raise an eyebrow as I say, "A hivemind?"
She frowns before she snarls, "It means he separated from Gorge fully, and his tails gained full sentience earlier. It will be difficult for us to stay together anymore...You and Pyrex will be probing his hometown of Bigel before we transition the homebase near there."
I nod as I say, "It's alright Teralla. We'll still see each other.This isn't a lasting goodbye."
She sighs as her posture slumps. She whimpers, "I don't want you to leave."
I grin as I say, "It wouldn't be to bad to see the world don't you think? I never left my cave from before, so I'm thrilled at the thought of it."
I shake my hands in fists as I say, "Ohhhhhh, it's going to be so exciting. I wonder what other creatures live in the wild. I can't wait for Pyrex to show me the sights he's been telling me about since we've met."
Teralla's chest lifts before she says, "I feel bad now for saying that earlier. I was just thinking of myself."
I wave my fingers against her feet as I say, "That's all I ever do, and I have lots of friends. Don't worry too much."

She grins as she says, "Try to keep yourself out of trouble Allure. I would hate it if something bad happened to you."
I grin back as I say, "I would to!"
The door behind us opens as Pyrex walks in with a dashing set of horns curving around his shoulders, so I say, "I like the new look. Your like one of those evil emperors or something. It looks strong."
He grins as he says, "Tellara filled you in I'm guessing?"
I smirk as I say, "Apparently you nearly lost your mind."
His mood darkens before he says, "I won't let it happen again. I'm gaining an understanding of what's going on. I can fight against whatever's changing me now."
This is bad. I pout with my lower lip extending as I say, "I was just teasing you...I didn't think it was so serious."
He waves his hand as he says with a smile, "It really isn't. I was just trying to tease you back."
His left eye twitches as he does, so he lied. I learned about that little tidbit from watching him talk with other people, particularly Teralla. Still, I know he isn't trying to hurt me. His intentions are good, so I say,
"Alright then, whatever you say. When are ewe leaving?"
He scratches the back of his head as his new horns move with him while he says, "It's a...well. Right now?"

Lacraea: The Slow Journey To riches [HIATUS]
Darren was a successful businessman, founder of the biggest publishing studio AoE studios. He lived a good life that is, until he dies. He's given a choice. either he goes to the traditional heaven, where theres no internet, TV , meat, and sex OR he goes to a fantasy world like the many his company has published. Defeat a big bad boss and become filthy rich. Theres a catch though. unlike fantasy games, the people here are not NPCs to be trifled with mundane quests, the lowest level monsters that are usually cannon fodder in games are strong and fight for their lives like any living being would, The harsh economy of medieval times, the various languages and cultures of different races, and the politics and intrigue playing in the background with a war looming on the horizon. Oh and no respawns. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ No OP characters, No chosen one,and no "oh I did something that MILLIONS of other people just didn't think to do". I am also going to try my best to stick with realism. what a guy transported to medieval times would likely do with zero knowledge of cultures or combat aside from a few TV shows. If you're looking for a powerful chosen one who defeats scores of enemies without even looking, or who finds an ancient artifact to defeat a dark lord this isn't it.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
