《Biomancer: Songs of Sirens》Ice and Fire

The air around me condenses until liquid oxygen forms around my skin. The liquid, blue as the deepest sea, crystallizes into jagged armor as if thousands of sapphire needles interlocked with all of them facing my back. Swords of pale blue form as tear the moisture from the air producing blades of water.
As I move the swords, wires of ice trail past the tips as super cooled air radiates from the swords. Explosions of frozen water and nitrogen explode from each of my steps as I walk towards the demoness in front of me. As I Lean downwards, the warrior before me snaps, "The horde faces far greater foes than mere cold."
I gaze up at her as I say, "I am not cold. I am absolute zero, and the end of you."
I flare from my crouched position accelerating with the violence of bullets and a speed like sound. She braces with her sword, but I shear through the metal with ease smashing her until we reach the stone wall. A boom loud enough to break bones rips through the air as we collide with stone.
A shockwave rips through the cavern shoving the dust and debris away from us. As her body freezes, I lean towards her saying with a voice like vibrating metal, "Is a little cold to much for you?"
She smiles as she grabs her hand liquefies into slop as she screams, "Prepare for assimilation!"
Her goop flies against my armor, but no fear braces my frame. After her flesh blocks my vision, I grab the frozen arm on my face mask before I rips the frozen shards from my armor. A gaze of horror meets my exposed stare as I grin underneath my faceless helmet.
I freeze her limbs before I release her. She remains alive despite the black of her flesh, so I lean towards her saying with ice in my breath, "Where you expecting another outcome?"

She tries spitting on me, but her saliva freezes mid air, so I grab the frozen phlegm snapping her tongue of as I rip the ice from her mouth. She screams cruses of unknown origin, but I say silencing her outburst, "Your entire race shall suffer for robbing me of my flame. For stealing my light in darkness. For ending my nirvana."
Tears of orange fall from her large eyes as she says, "I never wanted this. I just wanted to be good to my father. I don't want to die."
I clasp my hand over her face as I say, "Speak of mercy to the lost souls of your victims."
I emit cold into her head, and the water inside explodes spines of ice as her feral screams end in an instant. I lift myself from her as I gaze upwards. hordes of monsters shake against the top of the wall. I pound my fists together shouting, "I pray you brought a swarm, for you fight against an army of one."
I push from the earth echoing a thunder-strike of sound before I smash into the roof. I rip myself from the rock as I shove myself towards the horde of mongrels. They turn running from me, but none shall escape. I fight with fire of burning vengeance in my heart that moves the ice of my skin. They shall fall before me.
As I slam into earth beneath me, I brandish my swords commencing the storm of death. I flow through each enemy slicing through them with the blades of ice. My movements meld together with a continuous flow as I dance across the blood splattered cavern with ice trails hanging behind me. Each enemy detonates with ice after I slice through them, and after stabbing through the body of the last straggler ice implodes from its chest, I peer behind me.

What was once a splattering of decay and death transformed into a mural of sky blue ice and streaks of ice. The trails form into a complex, interweaving spectacle like the arcing of birds in flight. It's beautiful...but the beauty only reminds me of Allure.
As I remember her face, the depths of blazing rage within me explode as my outer body evokes a large aura of blue. Fires of absolute cold sheer off me as I walk out of the cavern. I gaze upon the armies of monsters beneath me, yet tears roll down my cheeks.
The warm liquid cools the fires of my soul as I hear the most enchanting voice on this bleak, hopeless earth. I hear the songs of sirens. I hear the voice of Allure as she says, "I'm still with you."

Superior Era
How would you react if you found yourself unable to sleep? Not just for one day, or two days, or even three days, but a more permanent time span, like the rest of your life? That’s exactly the predicament Dario finds himself in and he’s thoroughly vexed by it. After all, what sort of sane person would want to miss out on sleep? A madman, that's who. It’s especially worrying considering how he lives in a world filled with fantastical monsters, deadly beasts, and 'Superiors' supposedly protecting the interests of humanity. Sleep is quite the necessity under those circumstances. Life is tough for an ostracized kid, but Dario quickly realizes that his wakeful nights are more blessing than curse, as there seems to be quite a few advantages in not having to sleep... Join Dario as he climbs the ranks of superhumans, uncovers hidden truths, travels the world, and discovers abilities he never before thought possible. This is a tale of superpowered/superhero-like individuals set in a dangerous fantasy world with hints of GameLit elements. Features MC with abilities deemed unique to the world and can disregard the need for sleep at no cost to himself. No Harems. Current Release Schedule: 3-5 chapters per week. (Slower updates for holiday season) First few chapters are fairly short, but the rest will average around 2.5k words.
