《Biomancer: Songs of Sirens》My Final Frenzy
Advertisement
An explosion booms past the edge of my ear as I pound my feet against the hard, grating gravel beneath my feet. With each step, my lungs heave for breath as my legs ignite with the fire of lactic acid. Another roaring boom pierces my eardrums wobbling me off balance while muting my hearing.
The immediate contrast between hellfire and shearing iron to silence gives the quiet an eerie foreboding as I trip on a root beside me. As I land, I hold out my arms before I smash into the ground. As I scramble to my feet in a frenzied dash, the air around me contorts as the The Fog catches up to me.
My strain multiplies as I tear the skin of my heels leaping across the earth with a grace that only my impending death could evoke. The edges of my vision close as I focus on one thing - moving forward. The edges of my clothes corrode as I cleave my arms up and down. The wind cools my face as my hair singes behind me.
The wet squelching grows as I pass another limping biomancer. He uses a summoned leg for supporting his movements, but his lack of familiarity with the limb prevents him from sprinting. As The Fog consumes him, thousands of locusts explode from his chest before he lays on the ground writhing in excruciating torment as the horde of gegandarins rend the little skin he has left off his body.
My own skin sprouts small portions of locusts as The Fog scrapes against my back. The adrenaline prevents my exhaustion, but even with my numerous muscle and tendon enhancements, I still run at only seventy kilometers per hour. Right as my skin begins bursting, the entrance of a cave pops into my view.

The refuge invigorates my attempts for escape, so slam against the earth removing my muscle limiters as I leap from my sprint with enough force to break several of my toes and rupture my Achilles tendon. Swarms of agony stampede up my skin crushing against my skull with the force of a molten maelstrom.
Before I lose my senses to the engulfing anguish, I throw a cryo grenade at the top of the cavern as I plunge into its depths. As darkness surrounds me, the arctic explosion thunders through the air busting my ear drums while freezing my feet. Ice stalactites detonate from my feet, yet no pain radiates from the numb stumps.
I brace my shoulders down preparing for my collision with the earth. The levity of free fall floats my insides. The weight of acceleration drags me towards the steely rocks beneath me. Several seconds pass before I smash against cold water.
The speed of my descent gives the once liquid surface the toughness of concrete, so my useless legs snap before I puncture the water tension as I dive into a cooling abyss of aqua. As I struggle where I believe is upwards, a body pushes against mine.
Panic explodes from my being before a brilliant radiance shows a siren singing her soothing song. The phosphorescent appearance of the dangerous mermaid appears before me with her luscious lips and curvy figure. She clamps my shoulder and waist pulling me into her embrace.
Our lips meet, yet I miss any sensation. The world fades into darkness amidst the ethereal beauty of a siren and soldier meeting in the black of oblivion.

THE WHISPERS IN THIS DARK, CRUEL, AND GHOSTLY WORLD
(Vampires & Humans Vs. Werewolves & Ghosts???)It is the year 2201, and the human race is at war with not only the next evolution of the human race, werewolves, but also against Nature itself. An Ancient race of underground dwellers called vampires live and tries to protect humanity by bringing the human population underground in their habitat. The humans and Vampires live in fear of the werewolves, but that is not all, If this was the worst of it all, then it would have been a rather nice end for a good bedtime story about humans and vampires leaving in harmony underground, but this was not the end and neither is this a bedtime story. Nature (planet) still had big plans for the world, even with the creation of its henchmen, the werewolves (who have no control over themselves at all, merely acting based solely on their biological instincts), that was still not enough for nature. Nature still needed one last thing, something that could give those werewolves orders, tell them what to do, guide them, something that would be a personification of nature itself, something that would be nature's full power, with its wisdom and knowledge, something that would be its symbol. Ghosts.
