So, basically, I'm redoing this story. After doing some serious brain-plucking, I figured it might be better to just hunker down and get to the second draft — it's better than finishing a first draft that I hate.
Essentially, this story is not up to my personal standards. So we'll rebuild it. We'll remake it. We'll do something fucking amazing.
Though the writing quality may be arguably good, the story itself is kinda boring. I've been working on other things in the meanwhile, but for the few of you that (for some reason) keep up with this, this story will be unfinished for a long ass time.
What's ahead is kinda shit. I'm not going to lie. I have up to chapter 26 written in first draft form, which is a few chapters up from there. Depending on if people actually want to see the rest, I'll dump it. If not, we'll strike it off and start again.
In short, the new iteration of this story will involve a more conspicuous battle between mages. When I started this story, I had a single thought:
"What would you do for a miracle?"
This current story has strayed too far away from that. It's become a lostbelt. Expect something new in a few weeks.
This is my final message. Change the world.
