《What LITRPG There is Only Needlework [Hiatus]》Chapter 19

This is fascinating. Sui spread her awareness over the beanbag. It was rather strange. The beans themselves didn’t register to her power at all despite being able to feel them. The outside of the bag was where things were interesting.
Sui could easily feel the fabric coating of the thing, as if weaved in and out of the top layer of plastic. That was where things got strange. Sui could feel the plastic, the thread was imbedded in, but couldn’t move it at all.
But why? The fishing line managed to count, if just barely and really this is just plastic. This is also plastic so why doesn’t it work? And can I feel the plastic just because my awareness spreads slightly from the thread… or do I have some very minor form of control…
As Sui was investigating the intricacies of beanbag construction, Trina was glaring at Aife. “Why would you just throw her… Even Sui of all people should be annoyed” said Trina
Aife pointedly looked at the completely content Sui that was absorbed in learning the secrets of beanbag chairs. Quirking an eyebrow Aife said “Really?”
Trina intensified her glare “Ok, anyone even remotely more sane then Sui. Just a smidge. You shouldn’t just throw people around”
“You enjoy it” said Aife with a smile.
Trina blushed bright red “You are not distracting me from this. How do you know if she’s increased her constitution stat or not!” said Trina “That could have really hurt”
Aife set her mouth in a hard line “She didn’t so much as peep the whole run over. She must have added at least a few points otherwise she’d have said something”
Trina felt her eye twitching. “Please remember who you’re talking about. Look at her” Trina gestured over at Sui “I’m betting she got a really strong ability from the first round. What is it”
“Thread Control” answered Sui absentmindedly
Trina slammed a hand into her face “Aife. You are in so much trouble”
“What” Aife said quirking her head to the side.
Trina strode over to Sui and turned her over. Sui hardly even reacted as Trina pulled up the side of her dress revealing a Sui’s very bruised stomach. Her entire right side had already started to change colour, a massive bruise developing where Aife’s shoulder would have continuously struck Sui.

Aife blanched “Why didn’t she say anything!”
Trina frowned “Have you even met our friend before? What about that one time she sewed that dress to herself, not the time she sewed it to her sleeve, but the one time it was THROUGH HER HAND”
Aife gulped but Trina continued “And, she only noticed once it had been completed and she tried to hand it over to me. When I helpfully pointed it out, she CUT INTO HER HAND to separate the dress instead of the other way round”
“It was only a minor cut” said Sui “It didn’t even scar”
Trina turned her glare to Sui now “Why the hell didn’t you say anything. Why did you just let Aife injure you like that!”
Sui shrugged sitting up in the beanbag “It wasn’t really that important, I was fixing her dress at the time, so I was busy”
“If you weren’t already injured, I’d strangle you for that” said Trina.
Sui shrugged “Meh”
Trina sighed and returned her attention to Aife, who was noticeable paler. “I promise I didn’t know” said Aife
Trina frowned, but turned back to Sui. “Fine then. What did you put your stats in?”
Sui tilted her head to the side “What stats?”
“Aife” said Trina
“Yes” said Aife
“Hold me down please or else I think I’ll do something stupid” said Trina
Aife shrugged and pulled Trina into a princess carry before taking the beanbag to Sui’s left. Trina spluttered, not quite intending this outcome, but decided to quell her embarrassment to continue berating Sui.
“Ok… so, we have 8 stats. Strength, and Agility for physical attack, Constitution for Physical defence, and Dexterity, as the physical extra” said Trina “Then on the other side we have Intelligence and Wisdom, for magical attack, Willpower for magical defence, and Charm, as magical extra…
“Which
Of
Them
Did
You
Put
Points
Into” said Trina carefully and slowly
“N.O.N.E” replied Sui still half distracted by the beanbag chair.
Trina tried to stand up and punch Sui in the face for her stupidity, but Aife held her back as promised. “How the hell are you not dead!”
Sui shrugged “Wasn’t that bad”
Trina groaned “Ok, fine, whatever, just please assign them now or something. I don’t even care”

Sui shrugged “System assign them in the best configuration for thread control please, and make it automatic for each level up”
“Wait you can’t just do that” said Trina.
Command Accepted. Applying Status.
Would Sui like to view new Status.
“I can, and did” said Sui grinning
Trina groaned and fell back into Aife “Why! Why would you do something so stupid. Aife is strong enough to bench press a car… or close enough. I’ve picked up extra agility, and intelligence for when I get real magic… WHY! WOULD YOU SET IT TO AUTO?”
Sui shrugged “It worked didn’t it”
Trina wanted to go to a corner and cry. “You don’t know that”
Sui once again, unwound her undergarments and started playing with her threads. Taking a gamble, she even lifted them up into the air. The drain hit her instantly, but she felt like she had a much greater supply.
Using this new supply Sui careful spread the string out so that it spelled the words ‘so what’ out in the bright pink thread she had under her dress.
“I give up” said Trina “Aife… can you talk some sense into her”
Aife raised an eyebrow “Are we talking about the same person? Don’t forget the time she didn’t eat for three days when her Gran was out of town and hadn’t been shopping. Sui used the long weekend to sew instead”
Trina grimaced “Why do we keep her around again”
“I keep you guys around because you provide interesting challenges for new clothing I make” said Sui without a shred of hesitation, or falsehood.
Trina felt a headache building. “Ok. Let’s take a step back. What ability did you pick up and what can it do? We’ll go around in a circle, and I’ll start.
“I decided to grab poison resistance. I hope, this includes food that goes off, and will allow me to venture into poison magic later on, because of the fact the system stressed that every skill is very important and can dictate what skills you have access to later. It is a common skill”
“So… how does this circle work, because technically we are at the same point” said Aife still holding Trina in her arms. Notably in the fact that despite sitting down with her, Trina was in fact being fully supported by Aife.
Trina glared at Aife and so she continued “I managed to get the uncommon abilities endless sprint and endless strength. I got the achievement ‘knuckle sandwiches’ for beating everything with my fists alone.
“Endless sprint lets me run at a casual pace for as long as I want, or I can burn through my mana to travel twice as fast. Endless strength doubles the effect of my strength stat, up until 100 points” said Aife
“Huh” said Sui.
Silence.
Trina waited patiently for Sui to speak on her own accord, but she noticed her eyes glazing over. “Sui!” shouted Trina “You better not be distracted again”
Sui shook herself “Um… sorry that one I will apologise for. I haven’t slept since…” Sui looked around for a clock “No idea, anyway I do need sleep because I was up all night, and I keep slipping into thread control by accident.
“Oh, right, I have thread control. Any thread I touch I can manipulate it with my mind. I used it to fix Aife’s clothes, and make this dress that was supposed to be for you, and it uh… let’s me control thread in any way I want, but lifting it up is really hard and makes me sleepy” said Sui yawning at the end.
Trina bit her lip as she debated, on if it was best to grill Sui for more information right now or tell her off for not sleeping in over twenty-four hours. Deciding that a Sui that is half asleep can hardly answer questions she chose the latter “Sui just, go to sleep first. I can deal with you later when you wake up” said Trina
“Cool” slurred Sui who dropped then and there. Curling up and snuggling into the beanbag sleeping instantly.
“Uh…” said Trina surprised at the fast response. That was when Ito crawled out of Sui’s skins and glared angrily at Trina. Ito moved her front leg from her eyes, to Trina and back before slinking back into Sui’s skin.
“What the fuck was that” whispered Trina
Aife shrugged “A spider.” A loud smack ran out as Aife’s head was introduced to Trina’s fist but even that did not stir Sui from her slumber.

Majority Rule
Readers choose from a selection of options for participants of a survival game show known as "Can Anyone Beat Level 10?". Each level has some monsters to kill and a boss at the end. Treasure chests and traps are available. Treasure chests, if opened successfully, give decent weapons, first aid kits, etc. If unsuccessful, treasure chests will either explode, taking some health from player or do become permanently closed. Monsters in dungeon levels depend on the theme of the week. This game show occurs on the first week of every month. The game just showed up out of nowhere and many people were interested in it as they attended the live version of the show. As for its mysteries...well, who knows? Maybe someone will solve them some day. But, for now, let the games begin! This is a story that depends on the votes of the viewers using the poll system. I will probably wait a week or so per poll in order to accumulate enough votes. After the week is up, viewers can still vote but it won't affect the story. This is my first interactive fiction so it might not be on par with the better ones. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed reading this story. Thanks.

Sustaining the King's Life
On a secluded mountain situated upon a kingdom known as Feuersturm, resides a seemingly trifling cabin with an unlikely duo as its inhabitant—a witch, and her apprentice who presumably comes from a clan sought after by slave traders. Faustina is a sixteen-year-old girl who fled the slave market with the help of a sickly witch named Eula, who later on trained her as an apprentice for the span of seven years. Plagued with a mysterious disease for several years, Eula died despite the efforts Faustina had exerted to cure her; in her last breath, she left an odd request behind. "Sustain the king's life. This is your duty. Do not adhere to the prophecy." To which the odd plea shadowed a bizarre series of events, a consequential sentence, similar to that of a premonition. The same night the phrase was muttered, the chain of events followed: A warlock's intrusion to their home, with a peculiar yearning to resurrect Eula from the dead... and the king himself, asking for Faustina’s aid. ** 1-2 chapters a day (GMT+8) ** (The artwork belongs to me.
