《The Dungeon Draft (A LitRPG novel)》Announcement #4

I must regretfully inform you all that I will not be releasing a mid-week chapter. I just finished a grant proposal for my class that has sapped all my creative energy and a small piece of my soul. I will be posting a chapter on Sunday as usual and I will work to send out a bonus chapter next week as compensation for skipping this one.
If any of you are looking for something to read in the meantime, I have a new book I am writing for the Writathon challenge called Khiral. I have 20,000 words to pump out by the weekend [insert crazed laughter here] to meet the deadline and will not be proofing it until after that, so if you notice any corrections let me know and I will work on them later next week. It is rough and not up to my standards as of right now, but I am enjoying the challenge. The Interlude Freind or Foe is an exception as it is a chapter I am particularly proud of; I wrote it with a friend as a thought exercise and I think it turned out really well. If you would prefer to wait until it is edited properly that is fine.
I will be posting a couple more chapters of that story tonight after I read through them while I decompress watching Fairy Tail and glaring at my proposal. So, if they seem off to you or I start writing about talking cats, you know why. I would appreciate it if you could try to refrain from negatively reviewing my new story or judging it until I fix it up after the challenge ends. At this point, I would appreciate any constructive criticism available and will work to improve it with those in mind.

I will continue writing TDD, so do not worry about this being the start of a trend of missed weeks. Finals are only three weeks away for me so things are a bit chaotic, but once that is done I will be writing like crazy. I wish you all a lovely week and weekend!

A Cosmic Weight
Decades ago, strange gateways to other worlds opened across Earth. With these came alien races, strange magic, and danger unlike any other. Reed is what most would call an everyday citizen, but when thrust into a broader universe filled with ancient civilizations, eldritch horrors, and godlike powers, it's only natural one must adapt in order to survive.

The Guild
The world is broken. The apocalypse came and went, and only a fragment of humanity is left, scrambled into an unrecognizable mess. The remainders of the earth are filled with monsters from imagination and worse. Gates open periodically, leading to alien worlds, while dungeons form from damaged minds, creating nightmares for the unsuspecting. Some might see it as the end times. A hellscape. A story of humans pushed to their breaking points, desperately grasping for the last bits of humanity as the world crumbles around them. But a few might disagree. One man, in particular, sees opportunity. A chance. A path forward, to bring humanity from the depths of despair and turn it into a victory - a luxury. To remake the world even better than it was, dragging earth forward onto the galactic stage. It will require violence, lies, betrayals, magic, more violence, and the occasional genocide. But, hey. Everything worth doing is hard, right?

The Lost City of Maeros (Working title)
Fen and her sister are orphans. A dead mother, a missing father. They make due. While her sister works to support them, Fen dreams of adventure, to board one of the great, flying ships and explore the world. But her birthday is coming, and the time for dreaming will come to an end. A special necklace, a map and a message will soon send Fen out into the world in hopes of finding her father and healing her family. It seems however, that she isn't the only one looking for him. NOTE - This is a Work in Progress/Early draft. I try to catch errors as I type, but more than likely I will miss some things at this stage. The primary focus is plot and story.
