Current MP 3950

MP gained 1500

Mavis PoV

We couldn’t help but be surprised by what we heard from Milliana. She evolved from a human into a Witch and she even gained a class to match.

What was strange was that humans don’t evolve or rank up but it was after we heard the messages she got that we understood. The gods of light are the gods that govern the “Human” races. Any monster that becomes “good” and ranks up will eventually reach a form compatible with the gods of light and they will leave the realm of monsters and no longer rank up and would be allowed to access the class system.

The opposite can happen. The gods of darkness are the ones that govern the monsters. If a human, take Milliana for instance, does various evil actions or actions not liked by the gods of light then they can forsake her to the gods of darkness. In her case, she enjoyed being within my dungeon and with the monsters. She willingly asked to stay in my dungeon before she killed a human for vengeance. Though she didn’t do so much, she did actions the gods did not like so she ended up losing her humanity and became a monster but it seems Witch is a race a borderline race close to humans and can still gain classes.

If she does too much evil though she will lose that right and will be pure monster.

Well it’s not like we will let her kill humans. She will be a helper to the elves. The Witch class and race are highly strong and have amazing talent in magic.

She is also seen as a high class monster by any monster. With her asking Dalson forms a core for her and when he placed it on her chest near her heart the core was absorbed into her body.

We made a small core and it was probably adjusting to the new body and accumulating her MP inside it.

When we were done we turned to the slaves. While we talked with Milliana Theo was removing their seals.

Elf: ‘Thank you for freeing us from that curse. I’m afraid thought that I can’t repay your generosity because I wish to return home.’

Mavis: ”We won’t keep you here if you don’t want to. We will have some of the guild take you to an elven kingdom.”

Elf: ‘Thank you. What will you three do?’

Wolf: ‘I also thank you great spirit of this dungeon. I am a nomad who left his tribe. I would simply go back to travelling so I wish to stay as I am getting old. I wish to bare my own cubs.”

Dog 1: ‘As do we. Our tribes were captured and were being sold as slaves.’

Theo: ‘Were you caught by Morgan’s men? We retrieved all the slaves they had captive. If you want we can reunite them at our guild house. Where they are being trained to fight.’

Dog 2: ‘Really they weren’t sold!’

The two beastman started crying from happiness.

We let them cry out. Once it passed Theo takes them out and to the guild and I transfer the wolf to the kobold tribe. I told him to live as he wants but these are the only canine people we have.

The last one was the Hobgoblins. He was train as a blacksmith we were wondering what to do with him. If he set up a smithy it would throw the balance of the dungeon out the windows. The goblins would gain weapons to kill all the other creatures.

That said Milliana said something that made us notice that we had nothing to worry about.

Milliana: ‘What is the problem? You never added mineral ores to your dungeon so he can’t mine out iron or anything to make. He can improve the quality of the primitive weapons.’

Because of this he was allowed into the goblin village. At the current time there were 80 residence and ⅕ were now hobgoblins.

He had a core placed inside him like Milliana and was put into the group. He integrated quickly and took all the weapons by habit it seems and started to remake them better. He left them with a better sharper edge and stronger knots holding the rocks.

He made stone axes and hammers from what they had.

Like she had said, without metal he won’t be able to get anything to advanced.

I turned to the Kobolds village and find the wolf Beastman as chief already. I could feel him in the hive mind and in the cave room he had the kobold sharpen long bones and was making them swing in form.

His training would definitely make a difference just like the blacksmith.

Looking at the monsters I could tell the Wild cats would take a huge hit from all this.

I called Dalson and Helen to my chamber.

(Going with Helen instead of Hellen. Seems more right)

Helen: ”What did you call for?”

Mavis: ”Dalson I want you to change Helen. Try something similar to dads. Give her more human arms and make her more ape like. If needed go slow but aim for a more primate like monster. Eventually we will reach Tiger man but we need to start.”

Dalson: ”So not only does it have to be Tiger but also Ape like? Ok, come on Helen, let’s get you something.”

The two leave into the Lair leaving me to look over everything.

Helen PoV

It was finally time for our turn.

I was returned to my core form and Dalson began working.

He worked for hours and the sun set by the time he was done. We opened a portal into my nest and dropped my core into it.

My core instantly started to release the MP and make my body. When my body took shape it was 3 meters long. My best was bulky like a gorilla and I had long arms with ape like hands but still with the cat paws on the palm and longer than normal tiger fingers. My head was larger but now tiger like and had huge long canines in the upper and lower jaw. I still had my tail and my back leg was still tiger like but much more muscular and made more like Phil’s which would allow me to stand upright.

The muscles were really dense and it was impressive the power behind them.

Mavis: ”You seem excited.”

Helen: ”Of course, I gained such a strong body?”

Mavis: ”I saw, Race name is Saber Tooth Ape Tiger, now you should get ready. We have serious guests entering and all are for killing.”

A savage grin appears on my lips and I look at the opening which breaks more to allow me to walk out on all fours.

I let out a loud tigers roar calling all my minions and drop to all fours and leave towards the outside.

Unknown PoV

In one of the higher noble’s homes within Kelion a middle age man was reading a document. He was furious as he reads the paper. He is the owner of this large mansion he currently in.

Noble: ‘HE DIED. AFTER I BOUGHT HIM AN ELF AND 3 BEAST MEN HE DIED!!’

The person he yelled at was his butler. And elderly man who respectively just took the yelling. The man was dressed in a silky black tux and under was a white shirt which matched his pure white hair which has long since lost its original pitch black color.

Butler: ‘I’m sorry sir but I had our best spies follow him up until he entered the dungeon. We stayed there for an entire day sir. The young master didn’t return but an elf with three of the slaves came out. They were talking cheerfully with one another as they headed to the Dungeon Research Guild.’

The slaves didn’t return but the elf returned to the guild with an escort and was left inside.

The man suddenly went from red to slightly pale.

Noble: ‘If that guild is mixed into it would be a pain to get directly involved. That said I will have that dungeon destroyed. Call Hex and send a punitive force and send a request to the adventurer's guild to form a punitive force of adventures as well. Let the adventures go first and weaken the dungeon first before Hex’s men go in.’

Butler: ‘I shall do so sir. Anything else?’

Noble: ‘Yes, notify my wife of her son’s death. You may go.’

The butler bowed and left to take care of his master’s orders.

Noble: ‘Besides revenge I will gain that treasure inside that dungeon. It must be loaded since so many people have failed to retrieve it. Huhuhu’

Adventure guild 3rd PoV

Half an hour after the order was given the request arrived at the adventurer's guild. A pamphlet with the reward and the request was posted.

Request From Sir James Holmes,

Subjection and complete destruction of dungeon outside of Kelion. Dungeon level minimum 3 requesting Punitive force.

Reward: $1,000,000.00

It caused a huge uproar in the guild which soon spread as more outposts of the guild received the request.

In no time the several groups of adventures hoping for both the treasure and the rewards

The guild had already gathered all the knowledge given by the Dungeon Research Guild which is overseeing the dungeon.

Only animals appear on the list which makes everyone laugh at the request when it says its level 3 but then the Feral Rat on the list makes them think about the dungeon as at least level 2.

Because of that each party takes extra care by preparing potions and contracting some priests as healers.

Potions and antidotes were bought or prepared and soon the 50 man punitive force was heading to the dungeon.

Without noticing a second Punitive force was following far behind.

Adventures Leader PoV

I was appointed the leader because I was the only C rank adventures on mission. The dungeon has a record of no one ever beating it. It was said to even be able to kill an ex B rank. Our punitive force has 25 warriors, 10 archers, 10 magicians, and 5 scouts. Our scouts all can locate traps with easy but we were still careful so we loaded up on antidote potions.

As we neared the location of the dungeon our men were calm as if the dungeon was already beat. From experience I wasn’t so cheerful but cautious.

We arrived at the rock face the dungeon appears in. We heard it opens at night so we were about the set up camp but suddenly the cave entrance opened up surprising us and taking us off guard.

After a bit is snapped out of it and had everyone move in.

Like rumors said, the dungeon closed behind us. The room was small for so many and I frown at the corridor size. Most of the dungeon was cave style and the ground was really uneven and sometimes even had spots that would trip you if you run and hit it.

We knew already that the “Swarm” wasn’t on the first floor anymore. Records from the young guards that went through the first floor say that the original poison bugs were no longer here but the remaining bugs still have poison within.

We move through the rooms. Rooms with aggressive rats remained empty most likely because of our numbers. The wild cats attacked but it didn’t last and after around 20 of them died they retreated. Mongrels the same thing.

We really didn’t think this floor matched the dangerous Level 3 dungeon so when we reached the empty last room after passing through two rooms of pathetically stupid and weak goblins. We got serious.

Some of the men had dropped their guard but not a single mage or priest or scout let their guard down. I have had too many brushes with death to ever drop my guard in enemy territory.

We descended the stairs with our warriors at the front. We entered the room making a wall with the warriors. I could feel something was off about this room.

I could hear it; in the much darker cave room here I could hear the scratching of claws on the ground.

Leader: ‘Don’t drop your guard men. Lots of something is coming.’

After a while the scratching stopped but I could hear the beating and wind moving. It was then that my eyes moved up towards the ceiling. I paled at what I saw. All over the ceiling were glowing red eyes staring down at us

Leader: ‘BAT~~!’

On queue I heard several crippling high pitched sound coming from the ceiling and saw through my blurred vision the bats descend. Large Man eater bats all let go and flew towards us. There were in the hundreds and it was impressive that they fit into the room.

Recovering from the high pitched screech attack I organize the men and we start to hack away at the monster bats.

It was then that I notice the large figures that remained on the ceiling.

Of the hundreds of Man eater Bats there were only 20 of these larger ones. I saw one of them breathe in and exhale only to feel my vision blurred again.

It was those huge bat.

When I looked back I saw 10 men were already covered by bats that were biting all over them. As we recover we kick away the bats and feed the men some potions.

Leader: ‘Aim for the large ones in the back, they are the leaders and the ones doing the sonic attacks.’

Everyone turned to the new target. The warriors continued to attack the bats and the archers back them up by shooting those up to high. The mages prepare magic to fire at the big ones.

It was then that the 20 large bats let go and dropped down.

They spread the large wings and flew at us. With a swing of its arm one of them hit the claws onto the shields and grabbed it. It then jumped on and gripped the shield from below and with its other claw it started attacking directly warriors.

The men flailed for a bit and about 10 seconds before the mages finished one of them screeched and all the bats retreated into cracks near the ceiling leaving us in the dark cave.

I started hearing the scratching again all around.

It was coming from all directions.

Leader: ‘Quickly priests heal the wounded, warriors set up a shield wall, mages put up barriers, Archers prepare for battle.’

Everyone started to move. There were 15 wounded, 5 who were serious.

We waited in the room watching all directions while we hid behind a wall of shields in a space away from any cracks in the wall.

I was at the front ready to help. The room had two other doors and several cracks on the other side of the room both near the ceiling and the floor.

We were waiting when a terrible deeper but still high pitched rat screech sounded through the cave.

Mage: ‘Sir we are ready with our spells.’

I nod.

We watch all the cracks but I had my eyes on the largest one. It was where the screech came from. I could hear slow footsteps from it. Soon I discovered what it was.

We all paled after seeing that disfigured Feral rat. It walked in slowly on all fours, a huge 2 meter long rat from nose to tip of the tail but then it stood on its hind legs and started to snarl before letting out a loud screech.

From all the cracks at once a swarm of feral rats rushed out. Several of them were large ones like the first. They advance with glowing tails or claws. They aimed at the shields or at our legs so we had to crouch to protect ourselves. The mages let out their spells and caused mayhem in the ranks but raised a lot of dust and smoke.

The Rats retreated for a moment but then my vision blurred again. The same sonic attack hit us all again from all sides. The large bats had returned and assisted the rats.

While we were down the rats returned and swarmed us. We couldn’t do anything as they dragged off all the mages and priests and killed all of us.

Mavis PoV

I wonder why they sent such a large number of adventures. Didn’t the commander prohibit it? Wait he said trainees can’t pass it. Not like I care. I was listening in on their conversations while they walked through the first floor and know that all of them were in it for a huge sum of money. Several were talking about getting monster slaves like goblins to have them learn crafting skills so that they could work for them.

The only ones that weren’t trash were the priests who were employed by the adventures. They had no choice but to be here by order of the higher ups so I would spare them with a simple mana drain. The mages on the other hand were going to be different. They all had a good MP capacity and if allowed to restore I would be able to supply myself with a lot of MP. I plan on finishing this floor and make the next one a mixed layout floor between several Dense forest rooms.

I checked with Help and through I have to choose a main layout, if I pay twice the MP I can make a room break a block with a different layout. That was when I decided to make several underground forests connected by cave mazes. I will need lots of MP so instead of killing I will keep the mages.

Now then for the result of killing all the other archers, warriors and scouts resulted in 16750 MP, I think most of them were D or F rank so it wasn’t as good as Morgan. The actual men only gave me 9750 and it was their equipment that completed the rest. The mages and priests were drained and the 10 mages and 10 priests gave me 6200 MP. I was only going to drain the priests once since I didn’t want to piss off the gods. I had Theo write a letter to the church to keep their priests out of the dungeon since we don’t want problems with them. With that prepared I quickly opened a portal outside and we dumped the priests out before the bandits could react to us.

Hex punitive force Leader PoV

Our men have followed the adventures and set up camp awaiting the opening of the dungeon again.

In the dead of night the portal suddenly opened but the room had several monsters inside and they quickly dumped some bodies outside before the dungeon closed. Sometime later it opened again to the original room.

Bandit Leader: ‘These are priests. Hey get them tied up and give them treatment. Try out several healing herbs to get them awake. We don’t need them fully healed just awake.

The men do as ordered and tie the priests up before preparing mixtures of different herbs and feeding them

Soon they wake up.

Bandit Leader: ‘Ok you annoying god ass kissers, tell us exactly what you say in there.’

I wasn’t about to take my chances so I had them at the point of my dagger already.

We extracted what they saw and what attacks the monsters used.

I frowned when we heard the dungeon had monsters that cooperated to fight adventures. That meant that their strategies were much more advanced than we thought. Besides monster waves and monster house, we never thought they could have high level strategy like hit and run and the hit hard and paralyze before going for the kill.

Not only that the dungeon wasn’t stupid to kill the priests and have the gods angered.

With my 40 men we definitely weren’t going to beat a dungeon like this. There are too many unknowns about this dungeon. They said there was something even more advanced than a Feral rat and man eater bat. That meant that the monsters have ranked up into unknowns. Even if I had to get beating by the boss I wasn’t going to risk going in for a suicide missions.

We packed up and returned back to the base. The priests were untied about half way out. We don’t want trouble with those annoying people so we simply release them.

We were going to need to learn much more about this dungeon. And I bet boss will know how to go about persuading the guild that is monitoring it to help us out.
