《Dex's Adventure Through The Elemental Nations (Completed)》Chapter 17

Dexter's POV;
I Hiraishined back into the Forest of Death and reapplied the young Dexter Henge while thinking about the changes that happened during the last three years I was gone from Konoha.
Kura-chan and I now are really good friends and I think I like her more than that, but I'm not sure how I should proceed from here on out. It's not like I can really be together with her, she doesn't have a real body and the form I'm visiting inside my mind is only created by her will.
Not that it would change anything once I managed to release her, she still will be a being made out of Chakra and as such can be anything she wants.
The work of freeing her came to a standstill after my success of creating something that resembles a summoning.
The Reaper Death Seal is simply too complex to find a fast and safe solution. It didn't help that I was constantly busy with reviving the dead or training.
Which brings me to the next thing, reviving the dead. I asked Minato of his opinion to the whole Konoha mess. If he's willing to help us to get revenge for what they did with Uzushiogakure.
He wasn't too happy with what Konoha did but still refused to help us. He preferred to stay dead, then to take part in the whole thing. It saddened Mom, but there is nothing that we could do.
On the bright side, Uzushiogakure is now again a bustling village with people living and working in it. We managed to be almost self-sufficient. The only thing that we are lacking is metal. And that isn't a problem as of now, as I provided the needed ores from my inventory. But I don't want to use these resources too much.
I thought a few of the seal masters the Hiraishin and they are now able to transport goods in or out of the island on their own. This is also our main way to bring new people in. Four teams of 5 are constantly on the lookout for people who might want to move into Uzu. Why a group of 5? That's easy, a medic, two front fighters, one mid-range fighter and a long distance fighter.
As of now, they found a few groups. There are five of them to be exact.
A clan that is known for their skills with medicine and poisons made out of plants. Their body is immune to most poisons, which gives them perfect groundwork for researching new medicine and poisons. This small bloodline was enough to give them a kill on sight tag and they fled Kiri.
Tsunade was happy beyond reasons as she learned of them and quickly snatched them away into her medical program. They are named the Herba Venenum Clan.
The second clan came also from Kiri, they are named the Lapidibus Clan and all have a high affinity for earth-based Jutsu. That's it, they're only better at manipulating earth Chakra and that was enough to get hunted. Obito was really throughout with his plan to eradicate the bloodlines.
The third group doesn't have a bloodline, they once lived in the now located Sound Village and didn't want to get under Orochimaru's thump. They are now our weapons experts and are called the Gladius Lamina Clan.
The fourth group was once a small town of civilians that were attacked by a large bandit group.
Their town was burned down and they agreed to settle down in Uzu as their new home. It's safer and more advanced than their old home.

The last group is the smallest but at the same time the strongest if it comes down to dangerousness. It's the Filum Clan. They are able to produce threads from their fingertips. Kinda like spiders, they are very well versed in masking traps and are good bowmen. Their treats can be sticky, hard as steel, stiff or very bendable. They only need a few minutes to change a peaceful forest into a death trap.
Their threads can cut a head clean off by only walking against them. They only have two weaknesses. The first one is fire and the second one are sensors. Their treads are all laced with Chakra and a sensor will see them like a Christmas tree.
Anyway, Uzu is growing and I've reached Uzuki's home while thinking about the things that happened. My clone has already released itself and I learned what he did.
There isn't much to learn. His relationship to Yuugao grew stronger, he trained a lot and is considered fairly fast. He is known for being a bookworm and will start with the academy next week.
I don't know what happened to my Naruto Clone and I'm not going to risk getting his emotions by releasing him. He will live his life until I deem him useless and then kill him.
But for now I have to act like a child, a genius child, yet still a child.
°Shouldn't be too difficult for you°, butted Kura-chan suddenly in.
°You mean you heard all that?°, I asked a little embarrassed.
°Not all of it, you only slacked with you mental defence when you started with the new clans. For whom are you even thinking like that? Is there a second person in your mind?°, she asked.
°Not really, I like to think as if I am in a conversation. Makes it easier to brainstorm°, I answered and opened the door to my room.
It has more furniture now, with Ninja tools and books scattered all across the room.
°Hmm, okay. What do you think will school be like?°, she then asked and changed the topic.
°Boring mostly. I already read the Genin section of the library. The only new and maybe slightly interesting thing will be the sparring battles between us students. I'm going to be in a class with Neji, Lee and TenTen. The anime didn't say anything else about the rest of the class. But there must be more. Probably a few civilians and then other lower clan members°, I answered.
°Sounds logical. There is no way that Konoha only has twelve teams at all°, she said in agreement.
°Thankfully I don't have to get used to the life here as the child Dexter. The Blood Clone is sure handy°, I then mused.
°Why are you even doing this, to begin with? I mean wouldn't it have been more efficient to send the clone? You don't have to personally be here to get the effects°, she asked.
°There are some things I really want to do by myself and not want to learn through the memories of a clone. Like bashing Neji's smug face in. He should already be on the fate trip°, I answered with a grin and Kura-chan chuckled evilly.
°I bet his all-seeing eyes won't be able to see that coming°, she said in laughter and I chimed in.
“I'm home!”, suddenly came from the front door and I walked out to greet Yuugao.
“Welcome home Yuugao-nee”, I said and gave her a brief hug. Something that my clone started to do regularly.
“Hello Dex-kun, how was your day?”, she asked and I told her about a book I am reading.

We then made dinner together and she helped me with Kunai throwing. She really helped, I never bothered to learn something as insignificant as Kunai throwing. Seriously, which Ninja that is skilled uses Kunai? Senbon okay, Chakra infused weapons also good, but Kunai?
Anyway, I lazed around for the week and it was then finally time for my first day of Ninja school.
Yuugao-nee accompanied me and we saw a lot of children standing in front of the academy building.
My Naruto clone was also there, alone and on the sidelines. He saw me, smiled weakly and then sat down on the swing. He won't be in our class for the next two years. But the gathering of new students is something that the higher classes are all watching.
°I don't think his life is a good one°, commented Kura-chan.
°Yeah, it's good that I now know of the risk of using Blood Clones°, I said in agreement.
A Chunin teacher then stepped in front of us and sorted us into three different classes, each class has thirty students and will be fused into one single class at the third year.
Neither Neji or TenTen were in my class, but I already saw Lee with his bowl cut hairstyle. He looked determined to succeed.
“Okay, let's start with introductions. My name is Rina Colin, I'm a Chunin and will be your teacher for the next year and maybe even for the coming three”, said my teacher. She was a normal looking woman. Only at the height of 1.57 with brown hair and a middle-class face.
She then gestured to the first-row student and the introduction began. I ignored most of them, a Nara here, an Uchiha there. Most of them were civilians.
It was then Lee's turn.
“Yosh, my name is Rock Lee and I'm eager to learn. My hobbies are training”, he said energetically and then sat down.
I had to wait for another three children until it was my turn.
“Hi, my name is Dexter. I know it's an unusual name, but it is like it is. My hobbies are reading, training and spending time with my Nee-san”, I said in a slightly bored tone.
I was the last one, I wisely choose to sit in the last row and then right next to the window, so that I can spend the boring parts of this school with looking outside.
“Well then let's start with a little bit of information. As you all most likely know, there is a ranking system. Each test you have to solve, be it a written test or some kind of spar or even the Kunai throwing tests, will be counted and then compared to every other student of your year. So work hard and you might become the Kunoichi or Shinobi of the year.
This rank shows how good of a Ninja you are.
The rest will come with time, so now let's start with the lessons. Our first lesson is history. So who can tell me the name of our first Hokage?”, Rina then said and the brainwashing began.
School was over and I quickly made my way back home.
“I'm home”, I said while taking off my shoes.
“Welcome”, shouted Yuugao from inside the kitchen.
“You're here Yuugao-nee? What about work?”, I asked surprised. She's normally out at this time.
“I got a day off. This way we can celebrate your first day at the academy. Tell me, how was it. Did you make any friends?”, she asked while walking out of the kitchen. She had a plate full of roasted chicken and rice in her hands.
“Boring, I already knew the things they said. And I don't care about the children. Most of them won't stay, to begin with. It's more effective to ignore them for the first two years. Only those who are in the third year will have the chance to get Genin. Those who don't manage that won't be near me anyway”, I said and sat down at the table.
“But friends are important”, she said with a frown.
“I have you and Anko”, I argued. It didn't work.
“I'm your sister and Anko isn't... something that should be near children. What about Kurenai-chan?”, she said.
Ah yeah Kurenai. She seems friendly. Seems is the right word, now that I know what she did to Yakumo.
“I don't like Kurenai-san”, I said and stuffed some chicken in my mouth.
“Why not? She's friendly and she likes you. She even asked if she could help you later with your Genjutsu training”, countered Yuugao.
“Yeah well no, she seems arrogant. Always praising her own Genjutsu skills and so on”, I said.
“It's true that she's the best Genjutsu Kunoichi we have in Konoha”, reasoned Yuugao.
°Yeah, because she is stopping any competition from gaining skill°, said Kura-chan dryly.
“There is this one boy. Lee is his name. He's funny. Really large eyebrows”, Yuugao shuddered as I mentioned large eyebrows. She probably got an image of Gai;” And TenTen-chan is also in my year, but not in my class”, I said and changed the topic.
“Oho TenTen-chan you say?”, asked Yuugao teasingly.
We often saw TenTen in her father's weapons shop. She mostly helped him in the shop and knew a lot about the weapons. We spoke when I had to wait for Yuugao-nee to finish business with TenTen's father.
“Yeah, or should I call her kun?” I asked back and Yuugao laughed at that.
A few weeks later I quickly learned that we won't do much that has anything to do with being a Ninja. Not in the first two years. Real physical training or learning how to use Chakra and fighting styles will only start in the third year. The first two are used for brainwashing and information like which herb you are allowed to eat and how to make a camp.
Things a normal civilian could also use in his daily life.
The tests were all really easy and I took the first place right from the start. Neji was the second, with Lee in the middle. TenTen was the first in the female section.
Neji is fairly intelligent and Lee didn't need to use his none existent outer Chakra network until now.
He will probably drop to the bottom, once we start with the Chakra training.
There are already some fangirls after Neji and me, but not too many. I think they will come with the third year. And I also now know why there are so many of them.
It's easy, really. They were raised to birth strong children for the village. So they start early and try to get a good relationship with the promising future Ninjas.
The whole Ninja society is patriarchal and older clans, like the Hyuuga, Uchiha and even Uzumaki, are still build with the male members at the top. The females are allowed to play Ninja, but once they get a husband it's the end of their career. My mother also told me that she stopped being a Ninja once she married Minato. She still stayed in shape but didn't take part in any missions.
Well, the Uzumaki aren't anymore, I quickly changed that. That was one of the reasons for a few not to get revived.
We started with Chakra training in the next year. Lee was still able to keep up with the rest. Probably because he's only not able to use it away from his body. Muscle enhancement and things like tree climbing are still possible for him.
Tsunade thought me about his condition. It was as I assumed. His Chakra pathways are crippled and can't push enough Chakra out to get further away than a few centimetre. A Henge will still be possible, but anything beyond not really.
The second year had also some lessons on trap making, but still no Jutsu or Taijutsu at all. We did have some physical training, however, nothing beyond running.
But something else happened. The Uchiha got more and more aggressive. And I was then in one night that a fox summon came into my room and reported the death of Shisui Uchiha.
This means that the Uchiha massacre will be tomorrow.
So I stood up and made me on my way to gather the one and only person I want to save from this.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah cliffhanger. But it gets even better. I bought a Xbox One and with it halo 1-5 and am going to play all of them in one go with a friend. This will be when I have my next day off.
Which also means that I won't have time to write a chapter.
I'll try to write one before I go to work, but I mostly use that time for reading. So yeah, there might be a chapter in 8 days, but there definitely won't be another one after that for roughly 10 days.
Still I am writing more than I did for the first story. There, I wrote only one chapter in 7 days and now I write 2 in 9 days.
