《Dex's Adventure Through The Elemental Nations (Completed)》Kurama's POV

Kurama's POV;
At first, I resented the baby. It was my new warden, again a Uzumaki. They are the only humans that are able to restrain my power. And on top of that, the fourth Hokage cut my power and even soul in two parts.
All because of these cursed eyes and the unlimited greed of humans.
This baby is so weak, so fragile, it would be easy to kill it. If I weren't sealed behind these bars.
At least that was what I initially thought.
But soon my hate for the child turned into pity. I pitied him for having me inside him. I pitied him for going through this unlovable life. I pitied him for staying alive and I pitied him for me healing all his injuries. I couldn't let him die, not if his survival guarantees my own.
His parents died in order to protect him and this village. And they, the village itself, is paying their sacrifice back by downright torturing their child.
It didn't take them even a week before they started to neglect him. Not changing his diapers, not giving him food and not picking him up. A month later they began with the first injuries. At first only minor ones, they still held some humanity in them. But the severity of his injuries increased with the realisation that each wound will heal
But at the same time, I noticed something different in the child. Now I'm not really knowledgeable if it comes to human children, but I do know that he didn't act like one.
I wasn't able to read his mind, not at that time, so I could only speculate. It felt like he was practising Chakra control and he somehow got always food in his mouth, even if there wasn't any food to eat at all.
Then at his first birthday, he awakened his eyes. These cursed eyes that were the sole reason for my imprisonment. I do know that Kushina was related to Ashura, but not to Indra. Does that mean that Minato was? I couldn't be sure. But I now knew that I have to be wary of him. Descendants of Indra always were power hungry. And whose power is greater than mine?
He quickly hid his eyes and endured the continuation of the beating.
He didn't try to visit me. Not that he would even be able to know of me. But he did come inside my seal. Several times even. It always was after one of the heavier beatings and he never remembered these times. He wasn't even conscious.
When it happened I always watched his unmoving body. And, I don't know when I decided to change into a female so that I might be able to act as a mother. Once the time comes and he's able to remember his visit.

Maybe lingering hope from a time far back made me do this. I don't know, as it came differently. Far differently.
Three years later he found his first friend. A boy named Rufus, he wasn't like the other children and spoke with my warden, even if he became an outcast for doing so.
And then the one thing I feared happened. Three stupid humans attacked my warden and his friends. They killed this child called Rufus and my warden lost it for the first time.
He never acted hostile or aggressive in any form. He wasn't even responsive to most people. But the death of Rufus changed him. He drew heavily from my Chakra, something that I couldn't keep from happening as the seal was created for this purpose.
He killed them quickly and my fear turned into reality. He gained the second stage of his cursed eyes. The kind of eyes that are able to force me into submission and into slavery.
It's already unbearable to be imprisoned, but being a slave was even worse.
Many things changed after that night.
For once, my prisoner was adopted by a woman and secondly he visited me on his own will.
He I greeted him in my normal deep voice, a voice that would scare most living things. But not him.
He found his way into my chamber and introduced himself as Dexter. Not as Naruto, the name given to him by his parents.
He even looked directly into my eyes. I asked him why he wasn't scared of me, I was the sole reason for his bad life.
He blatantly ignored my question and spoke about me reading his mind, which isn't possible with the current seal. It's too strong for that to happen.
After that, I apologised. It's the first and probably only time that I feel sorry for something I've done.
Again he surprised me and said that id didn't have to. That it wasn't my fault. Which was true, but shouldn't be known by this child.
His next words changed everything and explained so much. He told me about his previous live and about what he is. Naturally, I waved it off as a ploy to throw me off.
He then spoke as if he knew his parents and activated his cursed eyes. I instantly felt the dread that came forth from these eyes and growled at him.
Contrary to my expectations he didn't do anything. He even praised my tails after a misunderstanding and then asked an unimaginable question. He asked to be my friend. The warden asks the prisoner to be his friend.
He explained his reasons behind his request and it was logical. I was indeed safer inside him. The Gedo Mazo is able to capture us without any real difficulty. But a Jinchuriki has to be weakened beforehand. A strong Jinchuriki will also not go down so easily. And I with him cooperating will almost guarantee our win.

Sure, I also thought about this being his plan to give me a false sense of security. That he will use me as a simple source of power, under the disguise of friendship.
He then asked three questions. One was understandable, the reason for me being female. Most stories speak of me as a male. That's only because my vocal cords are so big, it's hard to create a sweet voice with them in this large form. But I lied to him and told him a half-truth. I really think that females have more grace. And he even agreed. Stating that he was once a woman.
His second question was also somewhat understandable. If he has me as his helper, then he will surely gain more power. So with me being on my full strength will also increase his own.
This means that his declaration of giving me my strength back wasn't so unlogical.
But his third question puzzled me. He asked me for allowance of caressing my tails.
My tails always are a form of fear for humans. Never, and I mean never in my whole life said a human that they were pretty or that he wants to touch them.
And here was a child, that claimed to be almost as old as me, asking me to cuddle with my tails.
I reluctantly agreed to let him pet them if he gives me my full strength back.
A short conversation later he asked me if there was a way for me to speak with him, outside of the seal.
I told him to rip a part of the seal off, not expecting him to really do it. But he did, without any hesitation.
I tried to frighten him by telling him how stupid it was, but he waved me off. Told me that he could kill himself any given time. I had to say that his guts impressed me.
And his claims to be almost as old as I turned also out to be true. He was even sometimes more ruthless than me. He also knew more. He wasn't bound to his world, while I was. He learned everything he could get his hands on but was ultimately bored of his life and choose to start anew.
What he didn't know was the gravity of his decision. He hasn't thought about the possibilities of the changes he agreed upon. And now he isn't the same anymore. He learned to be defenceless and how it feels to lose someone you hold dear.
Something that both never happened in his previous lives. Maybe it was good for him?
His memories dug some of my own old memories out. About me acting like a human and a not so good result. I decided to try it again, in hope that he wasn't like Him
Over the course of a year, I learned more about him, some of his likes and some of his dislikes.
He also found the need to be strong and began to train, in Fuinjutsu and Chakra usage, as well as some physical training. I had to heal him countless times and the brain damage I prevented from his shadow clones was huge.
He was interesting, to say the least, sometimes mature and others childish. We often talked and his reason was more than once like mine. He once told me that I was his favourite character of this series called Naruto. Even if I'm not completely like the supposed to be Kurama. But he thinks I'm better. I'm apparently less sleepy and grumpy.
A year quickly passed and he held true to his word and gave me my Chakra back, by summoning Minato from the dead. I never thought he would do so fast, but I also acted my part and allowed him to touch my tails.
On hindsight, I shouldn't have made them so sensitive. He knows how to touch a tail the right way.
A year past again and he learned about the reason for his treatment, as well as Konoha's involvement in Uzushiogakure doom. It hit him harder than I thought, maybe because he now knew the true instigator of Rufu's death?
He looked so fragile as he asked me to hug my tails. I led him. He isn't like Him, but can I really risk it?
I think only time will tell. For now, I have to help and heal his new eyes. A Blood Clone is a possibility, but not the perfect one. I have to interfere and change some of the DNA of the clone before it will work out.

Short chapter, only a POV of Kurama, hope it brings some light to her character. If not, then ask away. You all know that I'm still trying with the whole character development.

I have tried to maintain the chinese names and the form of address but I used the measurements of the international system(meters, grams, etc..) and the hour time(no incense stick, or others). It may spoil it for some but I think it would be easier both for me and the readers. Before you read keep in mind that this is a novel with a slow progress. I don't want to give any spoiler but at least a few chapters will be dedicated to his life in the village.
