《Greenskin》Chapter 21 - Dust To Dust

Steal looked back into the smirking, fanged smile of the scaly beast. Blood still poured in thick streams, a crimson waterfall that ran down the monsters face, splattering on the stoney ground, it's life pooling up in tiny, scarlet ponds.
CLICK
A spark resonated from within the wyvern's maw. And like that, Steal's frail body sprang back into action. His head dropped low, chest thudding against the cracked, dead soil as a jet of orange flames turned the smoldering treeline behind him into a veritable inferno. The goblin glanced at the creature once more, powerful legs tipped with ebony claws that seemed to tear gashes in even the stone the wyvern was lumbering towards him upon. Bat-like wings folded tidily along it's ridged, armored back. Steal couldn't run. Taking his eyes off the monster for a moment would likely end up in the tiny little goblin becoming a barbequed snack. Steal would much rather taking a chance of almost certain death over just death. And that's why his small, clawed hands gripped into the dry dirt. It was why his shaking knees steadied, and it was why he screamed.
A violent, yet somehow insiginifcant roar. Defiance against death from a frame no smaller than a childs.
Steal's eyes narrowed, his stance low he sprang across the ground towards the wyvern. Another spray of flame licked at the goblin's back. Bony hands found the shaft of a spear, clawed feet found footing on scorching stone. A small green creature found something between courage and stupidity, desperation fueling the fire in his blood that forced him forwards. Another howl, this time it carried more weight, sharp like glass cracking on steel.
"Draaaaaaaaaaa!" The shaft flew from the tiny creatures hand, cutting threw the air and soaring forth towards the cocky, content and vicious wyvern. Wood struck on scales. A heavy tail swung forwards, the projectiles haft cracking and splintering as it was tossed wildly off into the burning brush. Still steal charged forwards, the tiny creatures claws found holds between scales, digging into the softer flesh on it's underside and the narrow gaps between it's armor. The wyvern roared in anger, it roared in pain, Steal returned that same roar as he clambered up the beast, it spun and shook, trying to throw the little goblin from it's back, but he held tight, held close and held firm.

A sharp pain shook through his body as he felt his ankle strain and snap. The goblin had just enough time to look at the tail that had whipped upwards and crushed his shattered appendage before he was tossed violently to the ground.

Steal looked on as the massive lizard stalked towards him, wings flapping as it's jaws snapped together in a mimicry of laughter. Yet his eyes did not focus on the snapping jaws. His eyes instead watched as a small, metal cylinder seemed to fly above the wyvern's armoured headcrest.
Tiny flakes of frost seemed to cascade from the canister, as if it wished to defy the inferno with it's meek chill.
Steal scoffed as he watched the cylinder crack. What use was such a small lump of metal. The goblin was going to die and there was nothing he could do about it. The raging fires seemed to darken, Steal's heartbeat almost as loud as the heavy thud of the wyvern's talons scraping against the stones as it advanced.
But no sounds could match that of the canister as it cracked and ruptured besides the wyvern's head.

Her, the prince of the interstellar and he, their genius. What will happen when they cross paths? Updates: Expect updates at least once a week. A/N: The first three chapters are set in an ancient setting and then after that it's interstellar, so some patience is required. Does this novel have comedy? Yes. But that's not the main part. What went into the cauldron of whatever this novel is was angst, age progression, and Technoids. I like to kill off my characters, but I also don't. So come check this out if you want redemption arcs, an MC who travels through death, and cool fighting robots controlled by people. We have friendship, romance, and random drama, so buckle up and have fun.

Sh*t My Parents Say
(don't expect a steady update timeline)Hello! I'm KC; I live with Mom, Dad, and Little Sister. This is a story of real conversations I've had with my parents. I'd just like to clarify that my parents are really lovely people that mean no harm with their twisted, sarcastic humour; They simply think they are funny.
