Abudabi stared at me concerned while the others yipped in joy around me. My laughter made them happy. Abudabi wasn't the only one noticing that it was more hysterical than joyful. Maron came out.
“Are you okay?”
“Never the better.” I dismissed her concern.
She exchanged a glance with Abudabi and they both came to me. Maron took me in her arms and Abudabi laid down on my stomach licking my face. I accepted their comfort. I needed it more than I thought possible.
I luxuriated in the feeling of safety for a little while before I decided to put an end to everything.
“Skill list.” I closed my eyes, raised my finger and pointed twice at the list. Two skills were highlighted: gardening and twisted temptation.
I shrugged at the randomness of it.
“Sweetie, if you do this you're going to regret it later.” Maron tried to stop me. “You could at least chose a fighting skill.”
“Don't care. Put my godly powers into these 2 skills.” I shrugged at Maron's death glare and proceeded to ignore her.
A light shone down on me. Little sparks fell down and entered my skin. I felt stronger than I had been before. Several windows popped up in front of me.

I smiled tiredly at those notifications. I cuddled with my pets for a few minutes more before I got up and went outside. The fight was still going on. Sevarin and the others were able to dismember a few demons and stop their general advancement.
From the door where I stood, I saw that the limbs were slowly but surely getting back together. Sevarin hadn't noticed yet. I gave a cold smile as my temple throbbed. I squinted my eyes at the heavy smoke that floated on the battlefield.
I changed to my true form. I screamed as loud as I could activating voice of the damned. Everyone and everything around me stopped.
I slowly went down the stairs. My gaze was fixed on the demons right in front of me. They shuddered. They tried to get up. I smiled. Sevarin and his men's eyes shone as they looked at me. My charm stats that was in the negative when I was human went back to the positive. For them, I wasn't ugly anymore. I was rather gorgeous but I didn't care.
“God rules.”
I closed my eyes and imagined what I needed. A black sky, a blood red sun, cold air lapping at the skin. I opened my eyes again.
“Do you want to die today?” My voice was soft. The demons' scared eyes took on everything around them. A smile blossomed on my face. They shook scared of what I would do to them. I stayed silent a couple of minutes, then I advanced. For each step I took, everyone took a step back. It was a pleasant sight as usually I was the one being led around.
In the middle of the street, I stopped.
“I am God.” My aura expanded to encompass the whole town. Everyone screamed. The demons ran and the others fell prostrate on the ground. They knelt as they repeated over and over the same name again.

“MorningStar. MorningStar...” I didn't spare them a glance and check my status to see if I had enough faith, to heal my pets.
Status[quart=Character name,Alignment]Everheart,Neutral[/quart][quart=Level,Profession]7 (80%),None[/quart][quart=Title,Race]Acolyte of Althasia, Minor God,MARA[/quart][quart=Fame,Infamy]471,0[/quart][quart=Health,Mana]50500,54900[/quart][quart=Strength,Agility]58,59[/quart][quart=Fear,Sadism]295,200[/quart][quart=Wisdom,Intellect]60,62[/quart]Faith11600[quart=Willpower,Charm]53, 30[/quart][quart=Vitality,Affinity to Nature]10,10%[/quart][quart=Leadership,Luck]100,100[/quart][quart=Attack,Defense]50,50[/quart]Magic resistance100
My smile widened as I saw that my faith had reached the expected number after saving my followers.
“Supreme healing.” I cast the skill on my pets. A golden light enveloped them but then, another trouble appeared. How was I supposed to know if they were really healed or not? The disease only appeared in the status when it reached the last stage. They didn't even start to show the first symptoms.
The only solution I had was to wait for the incubation time to pass. Basically, I had 2 weeks to kill time. Not good. I was ready to log out and never come back. I changed back into human form. Godly aura and voice of the damned deactivated.
When the godly presence vanished, I found myself standing in front of Sevarin and his warriors. I stared dumbly at them. I didn't know what I should do or say. Did a “Hello, I'm your god! F*ck you.” be nice enough to express what I felt for them?
They stared at me waiting for me to say something that wouldn't come. I just turned my back on them and was ready to get back in the Cathedral when I noticed that the townspeople were coming out of the building. They stayed at the entrance staring at me. With the amount of staring people were doing, I felt like an animal in the zoo. Trapped and reluctant to stay there.
Everyone was silent. It was getting on my nerve. Before I could break this deadlock, a faint whistle ble . I checked around for its origin but I didn't see anything. I concentrated on the sound. It was like it came from above. I raised my eyes to the sky. Several watermelon-size balls were falling. I raised my hand to point at them. Their gazes followed were I pointed.
“Bombs!” Someone shouted. I watched with a detached gaze as people ran around me. They flee from every direction possible. Sevarin and his group stayed where they were. They knelt down in front of me, joined their hands together and prayed. I was going to let them die but curiosity got the better of me. I really wanted to know how strong Prayers Faith was. I activated it and waited.
Not long after, a notification popped up in front of me.
*Ding*
You have 3890 points available due to the prayers of your followers. You can invest them in any of your stats.
Duration: 20 seconds.
I invested everything into my mana pool.
“Wind blades. Wind wall.” I launched several wind blades at the bombs. They exploded. Before any fragments fell on our head, a wall of wind blew and threw them away.
I was surprised at how convenient all the skills I gained were. I didn't have the time to appreciate them though. A second volley of bombs were falling from the sky. Prayers faith had ran out. I didn't know what I should do. Would it work if they prayed again? I waited. Nothing happened. It looked like there was a cool-down. I should probably run but my curiosity was still going strong. Since I became a God, my true form was visible to others. Was I also touchable?
I raised my arms like I was welcoming the bombs. To my disappointment, they fell away from me. Behind, the Cathedral stood proudly. Everything else was annihilated as craters appeared where the bombs fell.
Many townspeople died. Part of the Cathedral fell. The only ones who didn't receive any damages were the people that had knelt in front of me. It wasn't intentional but those who stayed standing received some injuries. I walked to them and cast a healing spell on a few people. Their eyes were full of gratitude and owe.
“Why?” A voice came to the right. A woman was crying, still injured. I went to heal her but she refused. “Why didn't you save my family? You are a god. You could have done it.”
“I am not your god. Why don't you ask the one you, pray why she didn't help you?” It was a solid argument if I said so. The woman though wasn't convinced. She kept on asking the same question over and over.
My interest in her words had fanned. I healed her without her permission and went to help the others. After my good deed of the year was done, I turned to Sevarin and the others.
“Leave. Don't come back here. Only your grave is waiting for you.” Voice of the damned wasn't activated but my words had a great impact on them. In less than 2 minutes, all of Sevarin's warriors left. Some townspeople left with them but a few stayed behind.
I regretted that my true form wasn't invisible anymore. Finally, I logged out of this game, or so I thought.

Cast Under Ellitis
Ellitis, a world of sword and magic. Massive in size, with most of its surface unexplored. Where dragons and spirits dwell amongst men and demi-humans, where gods and devils alike barter with mortals and immortals. Beautiful as it might seem, mystical even, Ellitis is not a world for the frail. It is a place where the strong prey upon the weak, and where the weak struggle with every fiber of their being to overthrow the strong. It is here, in an unsuspecting corner of this world, that an unfortunate soul was born an orphan by the mischief of beings untold. Eliot Wyon, formerly known as Eliot Alderman, was just a mediocre engineering student in his past life. Perhaps without any help, this life of his will be just as boring as his last. But throw in an impish ex-goddess to help him along. Maybe, just maybe, he could make this life a bit more interesting. ----------------------------------------**Author's Note**---------------------------------------- Hello Everyone, I am Vi, Cat Vi. This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.

The times and struggle of a orc cook in the Demon Lord's army. (On Hiatus due to reasons seen in summary)
Title needed a change. So a full honest update to you all who are reading and following this story. I'm putting this story on a Hiatus not only because of I'm trying to improve my spelling and grammer (which is slow going) but also due to other reasons listed down below. 1) The story is getting a full re-write as these last months have given me time to see what I have already writen and what else I have planned is not gonna work no matter how much I've tried with what I call 'test chapters' to see how what works or not. 2) I don't really have the time to write, mainly thanks to life deciding to throw a bunch of stuff and leaving me exhausted both mentally and physically. And what little free time I have is barely enough for me to do anything that other than sleep or play a game for maybe 15 min. 3) I have a job and bills to pay. Some of which are overdue. It also dose not help that thanks to the new inflations in prices, I've been struggling to get things in order. So now you all know. Once things have calmed down and gotten somewhat in order again, I'll be posting the new first chapter as soon as I can along with a new summary for the story. Until then, I hope you all have a nice day and enjoy all the other stories you can find around this wonderful site.
