Then she remembered the strange almost lost look on it’s face when it returned after the… purge. The thoughts spun and danced in her head. Michael the enigma, the destroyer, now the protector. She knew it… he… was immensely powerful, but he had become elf like in size and shape and was charming and somewhat modest. It was strange when they were discussing the harbor he wanted, how he never seemed to dwell on what achievement he had made or brag on the obliteration of her enemies.
Cornal and Dorvus were captivated with his ideas. His idea of a city open to all was… she didn’t even know how to frame the concept. The good dwarves were to meet with her tomorrow, oops, later today. She should get some sleep, but the excitement. She couldn’t stop the dancing thoughts. She had a dragon, no, she had a friend who was the most powerful being on the planet. He didn’t even seem to realize it. Or, he really did want the conflict to end. The meetings later were to discuss sending out representatives from Calalistos and the Rockheld clan to spread the word of the dragon. Michael. All of the people had suffered under the green skins. None had escaped their violence. This would bring others who had suffered as well.
Time would tell, but with Michael, time was not an issue. As their protector? What could hurt them? He demanded nothing. But he was putting this part of the world on a whole new path, a whole new direction.
