《A Virus Life For Me》55 - Leveling Up Again

Chapter 55
Leveling Up Again
What followed next was almost textbook negotiation once Mr. Thompson had tried and verified that the trickle charger worked. We finally settled on the following conditions.
I would deliver 100 trickle chargers per month for one year minimum. In exchange I would receive the following:
No one was to know that I was the one producing the trickle chargers. Free transportation and teleportation from deity world to any of 8 different worlds they communicated with. 5 tier one worlds and 3 other tier two worlds. Free leveling group to help me for 3 months on deity worlds dungeons. Any time needing them after that had to be negotiated with the individual group helping me. 50,000 mana jewels a month for 6 months and then 100,000 mana jewels a month after that or 1% of sales whichever was greater. At the end of the first year we would meet to renegotiate for another year’s worth of trickle chargers or the purchase of the spell by the merchant’s guild.
I handed over the 70 I had already created and saw Mr. Thompson’s eyes go wide.
“Consider this a bonus to get you started. I will deliver another 100 at the end of the month. When can I expect my team to arrive to help me clear dungeons?”
“I will contact them tonight Mark and they should be here in three days or less.”
“Very good, Mr. Thompson. It has been a pleasure doing business with you. Please send Alan by with news when the team arrives.”
“I will Mark, I look forward to seeing you at the end of the month.”
To help protect my anonymity Mr. Thompson was teleporting to the capital and would be introducing the trickle chargers there. Far away from me. I left the merchant’s guild and spent the next two days building trickle chargers. I was able to get through a hundred a day before I got sick and tired of working on them. That gave me two months supply already done. That should be enough a cushion that I can make some others while traveling around leveling up without falling behind. Alan came by and introduced my leveling team to me on the third day.
It was a well balanced team that consisted of 6 level 400 + demi-gods and 2 level 400 plus god level warriors. They were to take me to a different dungeon every three days and let me take the final hit on any dungeon boss if possible. After expenses all drops and materials other than empty mana jewels were to go to them. I thought this was a great arrangement. I had enough resources and a steady income. What I needed was levels and power in order to be able to use the universe spell and break into the god level. Well sooner started sooner done.
It has been three months and I feel like I have been making great progress. Time to check my stats and decide if it is worth it to hire this group on my own. It would cost me 100,000 mana jewels a month plus the drops just like we had been doing. I think as long as gained at least 30 levels in these three months it is worth the cost. 42 levels in three months, definitely more than enough to hire the group for another 3 months. After that three months I think I will take the time to travel to all eight of the worlds that were promised in the contract. I have another idea to gain the last few levels I will probably need in order to use the universe level spell. What I have not decided if it is dependent on my level and strength or if it is dependent on my stats. That is why I am going to keep a relatively even spread and not specialize. With the points I have I will dump another 35 in each stat bringing everything above 300 stat wise. I have also managed to finish all 1200 of the required trickle chargers for the contract. I am going to make another 500 over the next three months just in case I decide not to sell the spell. I more than likely will sell it though. I am not that fond of using a spell over and over to do the same thing.
Three more months and I have started to feel like the efficiency of this method is slowing down. I think my leveling group is also ready to start doing something different. They have made a tremendous amount of money in a short amount of time, but doing the same thing over and over is tedious for anyone after enough time. The recharging guild is starting to accept that they have to make some changes and there is a low level charger in almost every town on deity world now. After this stat check it will be time for me to travel and see if my new leveling and power up plan will work. Status without Bonuses or Skills.

MP: 34000 out of 34000 HP: 3450 out of 3450
MP/Regen: 2000% per hour HP/Regen: 345% per hour
Only 36 levels this time so it is getting a little less efficient. After six months of the same thing it is time to try something else. I meet up with Mr. Thompson after saying goodbye to my leveling team and let him know I am ready to start my travels. He sends me with an assistant to the transportation guild headquarter where I meet Henry. Henry is going to be my personal transport to the eight associated worlds of deity world. I will first get a quick tour of everything, 1 week in each of the tier 2 worlds and 3 days in each of the tier one worlds. After that I get to pick the destination I want to stay at and the length of time.
My new plan is to visit all of the worlds, so I have teleportation coordinates and areas to go too. I want to spend at least a month in each of the tier 1 worlds except for Braxis which I came from. The reason for this is that I am going to try the kill with viral disease level scheme over several planets and not just Braxis. One planet was able to net me over 100 levels in experience so another 5 worlds are sure to put me over the top for using the universe spell. I am not interested in the tier 2 worlds that much except for travel and information purposes. After all this time on deity world the list of my infected species is still very low. Everything on tier 2 worlds is highly resistant to disease making infection and the level up plan too difficult to complete for tier 2 worlds.

However, tier 1 worlds are much easier to infect. I figure after 6 months or so of infection spreading when I kill off whatever selected species I choose it should give me a very large boost in experience. This whole plan is a little creepy, mainly because I am the plague of doom that is going to descend on those poor planets. I will try and balance out what I do to cause as little disruption as possible. This will hopefully be my last step before I can use the universe spell and power up to God level.
Henry is a nice middle aged gentleman who does not seem to have much ambition other than travel. I think he is more excited for this excursion than I am. I am pretty sure he is treating it as a paid six month exploration or vacation. I decided to confide in Henry about my teleportation ability mainly because I felt as if he did not care. When he heard I was mainly looking for new teleportation areas and after taking me there I would be able to get back by myself he was ecstatic.
“Basically Mark, what your saying is once I have shown you all the different worlds I can do what I want and you can do what you want then we will meet up and I will still collect my pay?”
“That would work fine with me Henry. If you know of any other worlds I would pay a premium on the side for a quick teleport to them.”
Henry’s grin became huge.
“What are we waiting for, let’s get started.”
Henry then started teleporting me to a variety of worlds only stopping long enough to make sure I had locked in the terrain and coordinates for my own teleports. We quickly visited twelve tier 1 worlds and four tier 2 worlds. He said he knew the teleport point for a tier 3 world but since I had not reached God status it would kill me so we had to skip it. I paid him 10,000 mana jewels for each planet above what the merchant guild hired him for and after a whirlwind 3 days of teleporting took off and promised to meet me back on deity world in 6 months. After everything was said and done I now had teleport points to a variety of planets.
Tier 1 Planets:
Braxis
Megrides
Uskeshan
Aetania
Sweamia
Vaprobos
Kudroephus
Teflion
Jocrion
Zainia
Joeter
Cashion
Estapus
Tier 2 Planets
Deity World
Divine World
Immortal World
Supreme World
Celestial World
I quickly gave up on the idea of infecting the tier 2 planets. I would just keep the coordinates for future use. Two of the tier 1 worlds were actually tier 0 worlds without intelligent animal life that were being drained by the neutral faction. That left ten new tier 1 worlds to spread my infection on. Some quick math left me with the knowledge that I could stay just over two weeks on each new planet spreading my infection as far and wide as possible. So that is just what I started to do. Every third or fourth day I would stop my travels around the world and go through a dungeon just to keep my skills sharp.
Even ten star dungeons on tier 1 worlds were easily beaten by me now. This was a big change in overall strength in just over a year. This was the most pleasant form of level grinding I had ever experienced or heard about. I basically flew around all day long and interacted with any potential monster species I saw to make sure my infection spread. The best part was that I seemed to just infect the lower level species by being near them. Since I had turned into a divine virus my contamination ability must have gone way up. I made sure not to kill anything off and just gave standard multiply, hide and spread commands to my viruses that had infected the various organisms.
The changes in scenery and experiencing different cultures made it feel like I was almost on holiday instead of trying to power up. Nothing on the tier 1 worlds could really do too much damage to me other than a few peak existences. I just avoided those, no need for unnecessary fights and continued my whirlwind tour. Six months passed relatively quickly and I soon found myself meeting up with Henry back on deity world. I went with him back to the merchant’s guild so I could sign off that he had helped me and he collected his second half of the fee to transport me.
I spent a little time negotiating with Mr. Thompson, but eventually gave in and taught three of the merchant guilds top spell casters my spell. What was interesting was how I went about doing it. I had never tried to teach others the way I do things. It turns out that the sorcerer profession is very rare. None of the spell casters could understand what I was talking about. Eventually the merchant guild gave up and bought three rare knowledge transfer stones. These were one time use jewels that could transfer a specific skill or spell to anyone else. It took 10,000 mana from the person who placed the skill and another 10,000 mana from those that received it. It was horrendously expensive, but it seemed the only way to get the spell to the merchant guild. No one else cast magic the way I do and my explanations were not useful.
With all of my mundane chores and responsibilities taken care of it was finally time to try and level up. Switch all viruses in Goblins on every planet into attack mode.
Just like before there was no notice saying that it worked or didn’t. I better hedge my bets.
Switch all viruses in ogres on every planet into attack mode.
Switch all viruses in kobolds on every planet into attack mode.
Switch all viruses in Gnolls on every planet into attack mode.
Switch all viruses in Giants on every planet into attack mode.
Switch all viruses in Mimicons on every planet into attack mode.
That should be enough. I figured I should try for a lot mainly because my viruses did not have as much time to spread on the other planets as they did on Braxis. Oh no, I forgot to exclude Braxis from the commands. I probably just seriously upset the balance of monster power on that planet. I do not know if that will be a good thing or a bad thing. There is no going back at this point though. Time to see what a little virus power did for me. Status without Bonuses or Skills.

212 levels this time. I might have over done it a bit. I wonder why it didn’t say I could use the universe spell. Am I really not a high enough level? Wait maybe I have to place my stat points first. 1,064 If I split them evenly it would take everything above 500. That has to be enough. Let’s put 175 in each stat and save 14 for right now.
