《So I'm a cat, what now?》[Not a Chapter] Status update

This info is copy-pasted between RoyalRoad and ScribbleHub, so it might read oddly in some places.
Update, 2019-10-21:
TL;DR:
New chapter done and scheduled, coming today (ScribbleHub)/tomorrow(RoyalRoad). I did not get the job, which means I'm back to focusing on the story again =).
New chapters scheduled for release today (ScribbleHub)/tomorrow(RoyalRoad). (The separate release times should be a one-time thing, I'm just making sure the "spread" of release times are the same between the two sites).
I finally got word back from the job interview and it seems I did not get the job, oh well, more time for writing then.
Update, 2019-10-15:
Starting on the story again, at least one new chapter next Monday until (maybe) another break. That chapter will be released on Patreon whenever it is done (possibly as soon as today). Very small risk of chapter not being done by next Monday, check this post again in that case. Forgot to post update Monday, sry
Sorry for not posting an update on Monday, I just completely forgot about it...
The interview went well, though I haven't heard back from them yet, so no real info on how that might affect my updating schedule.
Since nothing was happening on that front, I decided to do some writing for now, and get at least one more chapter out. Since I still might have to do work samples to hand in, I might not be able to release on next Monday, but in that case, I will do another update to this post. The new chapter is coming along very nicely though, so that's pretty unlikely.
For my Patrons, I will release the new chapter as soon as it is ready, which could possibly be today if my pace holds up.
Update, 2019-10-07:
TL;DR:
No chapter this week and possibly not next week either. Updates might slow in general as well, but I don't plan on dropping this story any time soon. I will try to update every Monday, even if it's just status updates. Check the latest status update post for new info if there is no new chapter on a Monday. Current and future patrons might want to reconsider their plans until things clear up a bit.

For those who want more info, and to fill out the wordcount =P:
Last Thursday, the screen of my main laptop broke, after spending most of the weekend looking for a fix/replacement, I managed to fix my other laptop which had been refusing to charge for a while.
On top of that, I also have a job interview coming up this Thursday, which might involve handing in work samples, so I'm putting the story on hold until then to brush up on my C++. If I end up having to do work samples, then I will prioritize those over the story as well, and I have no idea how long that might be =/. Additionally, if I end up getting the job, updates will likely slow down as that will take a lot of my time and energy.
That said, I won't drop this story. As a reader, I hate when stories just stop updating without any explanation, and in awkward places. As a writer, I love writing this story, and I want to realize it, even if it will take a while.
I will endeavor to update something every week, on Mondays in general, even if it's just another status update. I don't want to spam people with non-chapters, so if I don't post any chapters several weeks in succession I will update the latest status post instead. (So for example if there are no new chapters next Monday, I'll edit this chapter with more info instead of posting another non-chapter).
For my current patron(s?), and anyone looking at becoming one, I will very likely change my goals around, but as stated in the post there's a lot of other stuff going on, so for now I would say hold off on becoming a patron unless you have the money and just want to support me, and don't care about the update pace. It would still be ideal for me to be able to support myself through patreon, but if I get the job I won't be as focused on making that happen as soon as possible.

Musings of a Hypocrite
Mortals are weird. They insisted in unity, as well as individualism. More often than not, they're shocked at truth and honesty, but not at falsehood and deceit. They asked questions with multiple answers, and provided answers that begged other questions. They made things to break, they destroyed things to study, they researched things to recreate. Humans, Elves, Beastmen. All of them. Within these contradictions, a miracle might manifest. But this tended to work with a trial and error methodology. Most mortals never got the happy ending. This diary is my journey alongside a few students of mine. In simple terms - they learn, they grow, they fight. They'll journey through centuries of conflict, from the physical to the educational. They'll experience the cruelty and benelovence of all living-kind. They'll experience the consequences of their choices and the blessings of their rewards. They will grow to become useful to me, or die trying like all the others. As for you? The god reading our lives like a book, sitting in your chair without a care in the world? I will show you, the farce that is known as 'God'.

New Paris [a Modern-day LitRPG]
New Paris [OR] I reincarnated into the world of my favorite wuxia novel as an S ranker with unbalanced skills. [Volume 1] - Completed I was one of those people who only stood out in a crowd when their name was called. Then, I died. But instead of heaven, hell, or anything else, I found myself in the body of a young woman whom I did not recognise at first. You see, I had this novel I was obsessed with. The novel was a fairly popular wuxia that got a few sequels, and a handful of spinoffs. One of these spinoffs took place in Paris, where the main cast fought against a multi-millionaire villain. When I woke up after dying, I eventually realised that I was now the third daughter of this multi-millionaire end-game boss in a spin-off of a sequel of my favourite novel. Does this make any sense to you? Because it doesn't to me. But I guess I might as well make the most of it now. Just gotta stay away from some of the more unstable main characters and cut all ties with my 'family' to avoid certain death. [Volume 2] - Currently Airing It had not been a good idea to interfere with the characters of the original novel. Had I known it was going to cause a butterfly effect, I would have stayed in my lane and minded my business. Although, between the suspicious attacks I seem to constantly find myself in the center of, and my 'family' who is the living definition of the expression 'rich pricks', I’m not entirely sure my current predicament would have been avoidable. But maybe it isn't to be avoided; maybe I should embrace this opportunity that has been given to me and become the hero of this story? At least it's certain that I can't do worse than the original protagonist in terms of moral ambiguity; with immortality already in my pocket, and no other useful skills to account for. However, if I were to follow this path, I would have a lot to lose, including an upcoming promotion and my growing relationship with my crush. With power, glory and whatever else on one side, and my wellbeing and happiness on the other, even in this magical wuxia world, the choice is easy to make. CW: graphic descriptions of violence, swearing, implied child abuse, mention and graphic description of suicide
