《Salted Shores》Dr. French

Dr. French received an interesting guest into his guest house. A longtime brother in arms, they had many feats that marked their days in medical school. Martie Mindfeild, vice president of a top three oil and gas company of this planet, and soon many hereafter.
"And soon there will be massive green energy free government money subsidies, and in that we toast '' he said as he and Dr. Ivan French we're gobbling down wine both laughing rehearsed.
"So doctor, can I tell you a secret?" said Martie, pouring another glass.
"What!" Yelled the doctor, looking at something else off set.
"I know your secrets doctor"
"You do, gulp. Which one" said the Dr. Looking up, very surprised.
"All of them," Martie said, waving one figure in his host's face" but most importantly I know that you are broke".
"Gasp!" said the doctor, "hopefully not all the other stuff too" looking away, very ashamed.
"I think there are a great many things that you would do for money, doctor" said Mr. Mindfeild leaning in on his host, and looking stern.
"Hey I'm not broke, I just have a few loans out as it makes sense to do your taxes that's how the world goes now Mart you know that '' said Dr. French in a rapid speech spurt.
"Over 10 million in unpaid loans for what?" said Martie gesturing something in the air with a slurred finger.
"Oh ah most of that. is for trying to dodge my taxes and going to the wrong people, accounts that have screwed me over and over just bad luck really haha I'm really cursed" sputtered the doctor as the wine continued to pour.
"Well I've come to you with a proposition Doctor, an offer to join a club of other privileged landowners getting paid to own their land" said Mr. Mindfeild reeling his body into the table further.

"Like oil?" said Dr. French
"Indeed just like how it used to be in the good old cowboy oil USA days. We don't have the same reputation of war and blood that has tainted oil, and we aren't polluting anymore either well maybe just a little bit of fracking ha ha" said Mindfeild, a company representative, smiling.
"So I've got some shores, and you have the turbines, gas pumps, and solar?" said the doctor
"Exactly what I was thinking doctor" said Mattie Mindfeild, one thumb up grinning as the wind whipped up from the nearby shore rattling the window that looked out onto the churning harbor.
Later that night the Dr. would fall asleep on his Kingsize waterbed listening to a podcast to distract from the fact that he was another day older, and still as lonely as ever. The one problem with Maine was that there weren't many options when it came to partners that lived up to his expectations.
"I guess the best question or thing to say starting out on the podcast, since the last time you've been on here uh is that. well. you have been shot a few more times than last time"
"Just a few pellets added to my total, they've taken out just under a dozen bullets in my life, and they've taken out 28 shotgun pellets from me now" said Marco Matters sitting in a podcast studio.
"And that is why you're such a hero son" said the host.
"I'm getting quite old now, and the truth is I'm not much of a hero, just lucky" said Marco Matters emotionless.
"Why not? I mean you shoot bad guys, eat freedom fries, and kick ass on covert ops freedom fighting missions'' asked the host demanding an answer.
"I'm a professional. I do what I do because the government asks me, because I like to live here, because this happens to be the place I was born and I'm very good at what they want me to do, but I'm still affected very heavily every time one of my soldiers dies" said Marco.

"Here we really want to get down to understanding exactly how you think scientifically in about an hour and a half. So the big question is are you just another government stooge, except you kill people for other people that you don't know without questioning why you're doing the things you do? " said the host, drinking supplements from a personally branded plastic shaker.
"I don't kill civilians, while the politicians barely work, keeping toxins in our water supply and rivers, and poison on our fruits. I sold my soul to my government and that's just who I am, doing my job for the better or worse. I read history extensively in order to help ground me in my current global affairs" said Marco, leaning on his chin.
"Interesting, now let's dive further into your PTSD, and the new drugs you have been trialing as part of the government's program to make soldiers immune to PTSD. This new super drug developed by Exitcorp from what we have heard makes you lose short term memory, is dissociative, and also contains a mild stimulant all made up from new chemical structures in the lab. It comes in packages of gum delivered to the users gums. Should we be giving these kinds of things to our soldiers? To make them killing machines, or are you having a good time with the good stuff? Find out after these ads on a service that you pay for" said the host with a hard smile.

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)

Vigilantes Make Us Safe: Rebel Rebel
When the world was on the brink in the 1940s a group of men and women with uncommon ability pulled the world from the brink. They inspired generations to come and led to a golden age of vigilantes protecting the world. Times change. By the early 2000s almost nowhere was willing to tolerate unregulated men and women dispensing their own form of justice. The dawn of the internet made operating in the shadows virtually impossible. Everyone thought the days of vigilantes were done but presidential candidate Richard Hughes, riding a wave of populism, has promised to bring these men and women into the light and empower them to keep us all safe. The passing of the Vigilantes Making Us Safe Act changes everything. All teenagers feel like they don’t fit in at times. Ryaan Asfour knows the feeling well. As part of an immigrant family in a country turning against immigrants, there’s a lot of people who don’t think he belongs. The election of Richard Hughes and the passage of the Vigilantes Making Us Safe Act hasn’t helped matters. Suddenly anyone who wants to discriminate can just say they’re keeping people safe and do whatever they want. Sudden popularity at school after hitting a game winning shot makes it even more apparent how much he doesn’t fit in with the rest of his world. A clash with a pair of vigilantes on his way home from school puts things in perspective. What can Ryaan do to protect his family and his neighborhood? Vigilantes Making Us Safe will follow a variety of lead characters including Serenity, Toxic, Hitbox, the Rebel and more. I'll keep the cover image and title updated to reflect the current protagonist but I encourage you to check them all out.
