《Sing Crier》Author's Notes [2] & Chronologies [2]

In order to avoid artificially bumping the series with author's notes, all future large notes will appear here instead of as a chapter. Note 1 [9/19/2016] Chapter 3
Ah, what a lovely response!
Everyone, thank you for your comments, thoughts, and feelings thus far. I was more than prepared to see a minimal to non-existent reaction to my pilot chapters, so to read such wonderful comments... How wonderful! What an addictive rush! Comments, numbers, passionate responses... ah... how quickly it went to my head.
A permanent mistake was made! Some of you already know what it is. I agreed the minute I noticed it, and such anxiety that followed! So, this author's note is arriving early with immediate action, and I'm going to be serious for a little bit. Please forgive me.
Sing and Crier is written wholly out of a passion to produce a magical experience to a certain standard. I originally wrote it entirely offline, where I could read from beginning to end, making any edit I wanted anytime I felt one needed to be made. At a suggestion, I brought it to a public space unprepared. Responsibility to readers, was something I hadn't considered would conflict with my previous freedoms. I can no longer edit without repercussions, I now have a responsibility to fleshy meat, capable of critical thought.
Shocking.
Despite knowing that, I regret to inform that I am taking a rather selfish route. I will be making a full-pass over chapter 3 which had gone over the least number of iterations, and making the edits that the chapter was supposed to receive. I say this being fully aware of the damage that does to the readers I praise so feverishly, therefore, I am prepared to bear all the responsibility and backlash I deserve. This is the purpose of the poll; don't hold back, and let your feelings become judgement (or mercy).
(Edit: Royal Road's update has torn the poll to shreds.)
I will do my best to compensate for my mistake in the future, and I will keep in mind the readers who have seen the mistake as I write future chapters, so as to maintain a sense of wonder. For now, please accept a tragic poem, and a small picture.

Q: Does this mean if other published chapters have flaws in them, that you will edit them too? A: What makes chapter 3 a one-off, is that I knowingly did not do the extra passes that I had done for chapter 1 and 2. I passed it over about ~20 times which is low to begin with, but after a large rewrite, the number of extra passes I've done for chapter 3 dropped even further to ~5. As for the future, I will dramatically increase my editing efforts to curb errors. However, should they arise, I will take action to fix them in a similar way to what I'm doing here, but I won't make a large-scale edits without notifying you in advance.
Q: How frequently will chapters come out now?
A: At my current pace, there will be a new chapter every week. However, with an uncertain future I can't say that this one-week standard will stay. I can however, guarantee that chapters will not take longer than two-weeks to release. (Edit: Assuming I'm not bed-ridden with an unforseeable illness.)
(Edit 2: The current pace is a new chapter every two weeks.)
Q: When will the edits be happening? A: Shortly after this note is posted. I am planning to directly edit the CH.3 post, however, if there is a demand for it I will delete the CH.3 post instead and post a new one. (Edit: There was demand for it, so I've posted CH.3 as a new thread.)
Q: Discussion of edits? Yes? No? A: I approve of free discussion the existence of edits and errors. The future is uncertain in the end, and in the event edits are necessary, I find it inappropriate to censor this speculative talk.
Q: Will you keep a log of your edits? A: Only the major edits will receive big notices like this one. You can treat the small edits like easter eggs, peering into the machinations of my CRT-brain.
Q: Can I tell you how much I disapprove of this decision? A: Yes, I value everyone's feedback.
Q: Cats or dogs? A: Dogs...?
Q: I hate you.

A: I love you!
Feel free to communicate with me in the comments of this post. If a question is something that I feel is very important, I will add the question here as well for future readers. ...And now, a tragic poem of a bunny demon named Aui.
Demon King, oh, Demon King,
so great, and strong, and wise;
why is there a fire
blazing in thine eyes?
Is it your inextinguishable rage?
Your unrivaled fury, no doubt.
Huh? What's that you say?
The health potions have run out?!
How could that have happened?
Don't look at me that way.
Do you really think I could drink them up-
-all in a single day?
Don't swing that shield so hastily!
Oww! Blunt force trauma!
I confess! It was me! So...
Please remove the lava!

Thank you for all of your support, and for taking the time to leave comments.
For those who are discontent with the direction I have taken, my deepest apologies. I hope you all will continue to enjoy Sing Crier from here on. Note 2 [3/18/2017] Chapter 13
Welcome back. How would you like your lore? With a timeline? Or an index? There are some other things I'd like to talk about as well, but let's start with the main course. After some discussion in chapter twelve's comments and much consideration... I've decided. ...Hmm? You want to know what I've decided? You'll know it when you see it, that's all. ...You want to know when? Soon™ I'm already letting you know they're coming, okay? Please be patient. These things are delicate and take time. I know that doesn't sate all the concerns you may have, but wait! There's more. In addition to this, I'd like to gauge interest in extra content with a poll. In particular, options for additional exposition, so please choose carefully. 1. A Timeline of Events A visual timeline of events that have taken place so far. Only known information will appear, and it will all be laid out with light art. Will appear at the end of a future chapter and will not interrupt release dates. 2. Character Profile Page A page showing all characters in the story thus far. There will be a brief description of who they are, and what they've contributed to the story. Some new visual information will appear in art, but no new plot info. Will delay a chapter release by one week, appearing as a ".5" chapter. 3. No Extra Exposition Pick this if you want me to sleep, but why would you? I'll feel unloved if you pick this. Pick this to hurt my feelings. Possibly improve the quality of chapters by way of health improvement. In this poll you can pick multiple options, so pick everything you're okay with. The polling will end a short time after the release of a certain chapter. Click here to open the poll in a new tab! (Edit: Polling has ended. Look forward to CH.16!) Last order of business; this. As in, author's notes, these things. As you've noticed, I've decided to centralise all the large author's notes onto this post. For formality sake I'll restate the reason; in order to avoid artificially bumping the series on the list of works. If there comes a time where I need to write another large note, a notification will be attached to the end of the latest chapter. Good? Great! Thank you for all of your support, and for taking the time to leave comments. I hope you all will continue to enjoy Sing Crier from here on. Chronologies are available here, as well as on their furthest chapter. It is advised not to open them until you have read past them as they will contain spoilers for the contained chapters. When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
