6 years of a successful bounty hunting career ended one day like a bolt from the blue, and Morrow wondered what he was supposed to do now. The cause lay rolled out in front of him in the form of a bounty poster with his face on it, and Morrow still had no idea what he did to earn it. Morrow "The Fisherman", Wanted Dead or Alive, 20,000,000 berry.

Seriously, "The Fisherman," that's the best you've got? It sounds like a pun.

Morrow could only guess that one of his bounties must've had friends in high places, or maybe one of the crooked marines had tired of him embarrassing them for some reason. It could be any number of things really, but in the end the cause didn't really matter.

There was no choice now but to go full pirate, but he hadn't met anyone that stuck out to him as an appropriate crew. It was either strike out solo or wait 1-2 years for the Straw Hats. That's an awful waste of time though.

He'd like to think he had patience, but in truth he'd turned into a battle maniac over the years. He'd been bored out of his mind before getting the bounty, but this might be the impetus he needed....

Fuck it. I'll just go to the Grand Line, and if the Straw Hats are meant to be I can catch up with them later. If not, it's not an irreversible loss.

Morrow was not an indecisive person, so with that settled he got his gear together and steered the boat towards Loguetown. He needed a Log Pose.

Loguetown was still just as lively as the last time he had come here, and Morrow quickly went to a ship supply shop he had been to before.

"Hey Boss, where's your Log Poses? I probably need as good a map of the Grand Line you've got as well."

"They are in the back, but it will be expensive. You really serious about going?"

"Yes, but I don't have a long time to chat this time. How much will it be?"

"100,000 for the Pose, and another 300,000 for the map. I probably shouldn't tell you this, but the map isn't very good. You'll have to buy a better one if you make it there."

"Ok, that's better than nothing boss. Thanks for your honesty. Here."

He payed up and left the store with his prizes. He needed to hurry or the marine base would likely come down on him.

Speak of the devil and it appears.

No sooner had he left than a squad of marines appeared at the end of the street. Morrow didn't fear them at all, but if Smoker came down then things could get complicated.

"Stop, you're under arrest!"

The civilians on the street cleared out like it was a drill they had done many times before, but Morrow ignored them as he moved towards the pier where his sailboat was anchored. The marines, obviously not happy with the lack of response, pulled out their blades and charged.

He didn't bother to pull his trident out for them. If common soldiers could cause him problems then his 9 years of training was clearly worthless.

10 seconds later they were all down on the ground groaning. He didn't kill them since it would be troublesome and he could afford to give mercy, but some broken bones were inevitable.

"Really, why didn't you call your boss? Did you really think you could catch me?"

"Who says they didn't?"

The heavy smoker's voice had come from a rooftop to the left, and as expected it was Smoker. He stood there and they just kind of stared at each other. Why did he not just attack without saying anything?

"The Fisherman huh? You don't look like much."

"Funny, I was thinking you didn't look like much either."

Fuck, I hate dramatic entrances. I hate the silly ass epithet as well. Fine then, I'll show you logias aren't so invincible after all.
