Trials: Giant Killing
Zeus Pov
Gods Bane
Karma has awakened, your rule will be judged. The gods bane has been born.
My jovial laughter was cut short by the sudden vision of what is to come. I see a dark figure standing over the corpse of my brethren holding a golden and smiling. A cold deathly smile that holds no warmth. I immediately know who this figure is, it seems as if my sister has brought a menace into are mist. No matter I will rid the gods of this pest before the infestation spreads. I ready myself to travel towards the trials.
Before I go, I am surrounded by crimson flames and I feel the warmth slowly seep from my body.
"I will not allow you to do what you are planning. You have made an oath that my son will remain safe that he, will not be harmed if his trials are completed, I will be damned if I allow you to go back on your words."Hestia stepped forward her full killing attempt causing me to flinch ever so slightly.
"It seems that I was not the only one to see a vision of the future. If you know what your son represents then you also know that his very existence is like ebbing poison to all gods. Oath or no he will die. If you really want a child I will give pardon for you to create another, but He. Must. Die." I announce to the throne room. It seems that ever god received a slightly similar vision and most were nodding their heads in agreement.
"Do you truly think that killing him will solve anything, every god knows that the gods bane is just the person that may trigger disaster, not the one who will bring it himself. There has been such an announcement once a millennia. Yet your method of dealing with them haven't changed. Medusa, Pandora, Midas. Your very involvement brings disaster. The major gods have failed karma's test time and time again, but I will not stand idle when you attempt to end my child's life." Hestia yelled. Most of the major gods cringed inwardly, their numerous mistakes were usually politely not talked about.

"My stand is clear. Will you stand for or against me?" I ask menacingly
"I will little brother" She answers coldly brandishing an odd misshapen dagger. It seems that my benevolent older sister means business.
"And I will, join her" Ares walks beside her holding two bastard swords. Suddenly thousands of weapons materialized in the air in front of us.
"Ares!!! Will you really go against your own father, for some insignificant brat." I raged, I didn't think that anyone but Hestia would stand against me.
"Of course father, I was never a good son. Besides, that insignificant brat is my student and you trying to kill him before his training is completed is an insult against me as well. I'm not the only one who believes you are abusing your power." I look around to see that the throne room has been split relatively evenly between the major gods and their supporters
'This child will bring war among the gods if I press this issue'
"Fine let him live, but he will not remain in my domain. If he survives the trial, I will not have him remain here with a knife at my back, growing stronger as he plots my downfall. Banish him to earth." I concede.
"Banish, you can't be serious. He's just a child, how can we have abandon him" Hestia begged.
"I will not be persuaded. Its either this or death." I growled
"You better hope he doesn't swear vengeance, or death may be what we face." Hestia commented before vanishing with a blast of crimson flames

Regrettably I realize know that brutally killing every monster I come across, will not calm me down. I realize that Ares may not have wanted me to see what I saw, but those are memories I have forgotten for a reason. The irony is still apparent, the orphan Alexander rose child billionaire.

The media couldn't get enough of me. There were so may question.
What inspired you to create not one or two, but fifteen successful enterprises?
Nothing it was only meant as a means to an end.
Can you relate who was the most important person, that carried you to your road to success.
That...that would be my mother, without her I wouldn't be half the man I am today
Your mother? We had heard that you had no close family, can you relate to us the cause of your mother's death?
....
Umm, Alexander?
No further questions
Wait, we don't mean to offend we understand if this is a personal...
I said no further questions
"HaHaHa. I thought I had matured past the point where somewhere could mention my mother without me swearing vendetta. Well since I have calmed myself down I guess that punching Ares squarely in the face will be enough of a apology." I laughed bitterly
I have been in the trial of Heart for four days now and I am thoroughly annoyed.
"Isn't the trial of heart supposed to be touchy feely, I've fought more enemies in this trial then my last three combined." I sighed
I remember being completely adamant on killing Ares, when I first entered the trial. Yet slowly I feel my anger melting away as if it were never there to begin with. I wonder if that has to do with this trial
Welcome to the Trial of Heart

-May the fates smile upon you
Yeah right, this is more like battle 101, well at least I've reaching the exit.
I walked toward the emerald door its unusual that I get two of these for one trial, but it's been a full day since I've ran into any mobs so this should be the end. I start to read the usual engraving above the door.
Enter to discover your true self, when you are cornered and frail will your heart waiver.
-May the fates smile upon you
'Hmm creepy, these doors are always good to set the mood' I said drily.
As I entered into the large room I am faced with a giant individual, holding a enormous war hammer the size of a small bus. He would look like a gigantic brutish human if it wasn't for the large solitary eye he had on his face. This could be difficult, he doesn't look like he wants to have a heart to heart, on our feelings.
As soon as he caught sight of me he rushed toward me with a superhuman speed that should be impossible for someone of his size. I quickly tried to flit, but was too slow and caught the side of his war hammer. It was powerful enough to take 25% of my health away.
"If that had hit me straight on I would be dead," I grimaced "Perfect."

The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
