《I Think My Familiar is a DemonLord》Chapter 4: can I have another?

Leon sighed as he leaned up against the stone wall of the courtyard. He was currently accompanying Lira in her daily lessons. As a familiar he was expected to accompany here everywhere, and while there unique situation made it hard for him to follow her some places he was still forced to follow her to places like her classes.

Classes were bad enough to begin with, but add to this the fact he did not understand anything that was said unless it was said by Lira and you have a recipe for complete and utter boredom.

He looked at the teacher that was prattling on and on about something, waving her arms through the air comically. At first he was under the impression that she was showing them how to do a spell, but seeing as when they repeated after her no one else swung their arms through the air he was forced to chalk it up to simply one of her quirks.

He looked at the teacher better, she was on the older and plumper side of the scales. A large mole grew on the left side of her face and her fashion sense was, eccentric to say the least.

She was a stereotypical witch.

He smiled as an idea popped up in his mind, if he could not understand what they were saying then he would make it up. He started imagining her speaking about whatever popped in his mind.

“Sooooo, students today we will be talking about pie.” she said, a slight hungry look in her eyes. “As you all can see I am quite the fat bitch and really like my pie, oh and waffles.”

“But ma’am’ you can't eat the waffles!”

“What? Why not?”

“Because I ate the waffles!”

“Waffles?”

“Who needs waffles? I want some whisky!”

“Why would you need whisky?”

“Because staring at your ugly ass face is not an enjoyable pastime, I am going to need some alcohol to make you look like a human.”

“Oh,” the teacher paused. “Well then, you will need stronger liquor than that...”

Leon giggled to himself, Lira who was standing beside him looked at him with a look of confusion. He waved her off and went back to entertaining himself.

“Hey, there is lightly fried fish fillets for dinner.”

“What the hell? It's like one a.m.”

“Do you want lightly fried fish fillets or not?”

“Well, I mean yea...”

“Mhm, thought so come on downstairs they’re still hot.”

“Wait, did you just make them?”

“Yes, I wasn’t tired so I decided to make some lightly fried fish fillets.”

“Say lightly fried fish fillets one more time please...”

Leon stifled his laughter again, causing not just Lira to look at him, but also the majority of the class to look his way. It would seem giggling in class was not an acceptable thing in this world.

Damn shame.

The witch of a teacher looked his way, there was a large vein in her forehead that was pulsing, she obviously was not to pleased with his interruptions. She looked his way and said something in her language, he looked at Lira for a translation.

“She asked if you would perhaps like to demonstrate how to take down an earth elemental since you seem to find her teaching method humorous.” she said, leaning his way, her cheeks were currently burning red with embarrassment.

“Well you can tell that waffle eating, late night fish cooking bitch, why the hell not?” he laughed with a smile on his face. Lira’s eyes opened wide as she heard the words that came out of his mouth.

Lira looked back at the teacher and then to leon before addressing the teacher again. “He, uh, he said why not?” she said, she doubted she would have gotten off lightly if she had repeated what he had said. waffle eating, late night fish cooking? What was he talking about? And this was an earth elemental that they were talking about, did he really know what he was getting himself into?

The teacher’s eye twitched ever so slightly before she walked to an open part of the field and started to cast a spell. Pulling out a vial of what could only be blood she slowly poured it towards the ground chanting the entire time. The blood however never touched the ground, but rather started dancing around her and forming strange patterns in the liquid.

Stepping out of the circle of flying blood she spoke one more word, and as it left her lips the ground in between the circle started to swell, before shooting up at a rapid pace and piercing the sky some twenty feet straight up.

As the clay and soil touched the blood it slowly started dripping down the new spire of land. Clods of earth fell off, revealing a mostly humanoid shape. There were two arms, two legs, a torso and a head. At the end of the arms however were not any hands, simply blunt objects that could only ever be used for crushing.

Blood dripped down what he could only assume was its head. Looking at it he stopped leaning on the rock wall, he walked over to it casually. He looked at the woman, and the thoughts of the conversation he had translated surfaced in his mind, without being able to help himself he laughed.

The vein in her head pulled more, and with gritted teeth she asked something. He didn't need Lira to translate this one, she was asking him if he was ready. He simply nodded.

It was apparent she intended to use him as an example for the rest of the students. Unfortunately for her she had decided that he was the one to use in such a demonstration. At her command the golem moved forward.

Leon’s eyes narrowed, even as a smile spread softly across his lips. Rushing forward he dodged the massive creatures punch by jumping onto its arm, with a quick series of movements he ran up the things arm and did a backflip off of it’s shoulder, planting a kick under its chin as he did so.

The creature’s head all but exploded as a large path was carved out of it. He stood up and dusted off his robes as he looked at the creature, everyone was staring at him with a look of shock. But he didn't see any of them as he still had his eyes on the golem.

The path he had carved in its head was quickly filled back in, but this time instead of stone it was clay that covered the wound. His smile widened, it would seem that seeing as this was not a living creature he would be able to have some fun with it.

He planted his feet on the cobblestones of the path and pushed off. The excessive force he used to push off displaced some of the buried bricks. He saw a large stone fist coming directly for him, and he held out his palm to stop it.

He didn't know if he would be able to hold it back, but he had never been one to be cautious. As he made contact with the massive fist he was pushed back almost five feet, he dug his heels into the ground.

The bones in his arm protested the force that was being applied to it with a groan, ignoring it he put all the force he could into pushing back with a single massive shove. The massive creature which was already off center from its last punch was not only pushed back but also fell over backwards.

Leaping up into the air an impossible distance Leon used gravity to his advantage as he smashed down onto its torso with the heel of his boots and all the force he could muster. The stone creature broke apart into hundreds of peaces, flying every which direction, causing the watching people to cast shields to protect themselves from the flying debris.

As the dust cleared Leon was still standing in the same location, red robes lightly blowing in the wind. With the exception of a red palm he looked perfectly fine, like he had not even broke a sweat. He looked over at the teacher who was currently staring at him in shock with her mouth hanging open in horror.

“Can I have another?” he asked her with a smile on his face.
