《A Mediocre Supreme Cultivator》Resolution

The man hadn't let up in his interrogation. Fang Hu couldn't tell what the man's cultivation base was, and that either meant that the man was using many techniques, or Fang Hu was really fucked. He couldn't even use his status check on the man, every time he tried, something in his mind told him that it was a horrible idea. Fang Hu couldn't quite place why this was happening, but, if he had to guess, it would be the cultivator's aura Fang Hu would bet the house on. The man only looked to be in his 30s or 40s, but that couldn't be the fucking case, could it?
"Tell me more about the people who attacked you. I better like what I hear."
The man's young appearance didn't do anything to tone down the oppressive feeling he was putting off. Normally, Fang Hu would have made a comment about how he was using that saying wrong, and was only supposed to be used when there was a chance of an answer being good or bad, none of which a description of his attackers would be. That's probably not even true, he just likes pulling shit out of ass and running with it. However, whenever he tried to start his sass, it felt as if he was tying a noose around his own neck. As things were, Fang Hu was forced to continue with his calm, polite demeanor he uses when not faced with a conflict or staying with friends.
*Which one do you want to start with, sir?*
"Which assailant draws the most of your interest, elder?"
"Hmm... you're going to make me pick the order? Fine, then, let's go in the order that you mentioned them. What auction house has the gall to raise hell in my city. Who exactly was the enforcer, and why did he, and his house, come after you?"

**Sigh*, well the dudes name is Xiang, I don't think he was working under direct order...*
Fang Hu went on to explain all about who Xiang was and why he was trying to go after Fang Hu. Liuxain raised his brows at Fang Hu being a talented scholar but in the end he didn't intervene. It seemed Liuxain bought Fang Hu's story, he even laughed at how every time the scholar released a bit of information for free a tiny bit of qi welled up inside the young man. Seeing Liuxain find his plight amusing didn't do much to help Fang Hu keep his cool. Being forced to give information away for free didn't set well with Fang Hu, he hated it, but he wasn't in much of a power position. What ticked him off the most was the fact that even if he cooperated to the best of his ability, he wasn't guaranteed his freedom. That was cop show and movie villain 101. Kinda odd how those two overlap, huh?
When Fang Hu revealed that it was Shining Pavilion that was responsible for one of the rogue cultivators, Fang Hu could tell that they were going to receive a 'visit' from this man. The man tutted at why the master of the Heavenly Fan Sect had come to attack him, Fang Hu was worried that the man was going to hold him responsible for Shui's involvement, until he explained how Jiang Shui had attacked him. It turns out, funnily enough, that randomly blowing up a house in the middle of the city then punting your opponent through another was a good way of pissing this man off. Much of the aggression of the man died down when he realized that Fang Hu had just limply laid against the wall for the majority of the battle.

Liuxain didn't however believe the story about a secret grounds filled with traps and releasing a strong spirit beast that had completely ignored him and went into savage territory. Skeptical, he pushed his aura to the point most people caved in, surprised that this cultivator could withstand this much, he pushed harder. Eventually, the scholar broke down and started crying while assuring him that he was telling the truth. He also said a few things about how he didn't know who the third man was, but was an accomplished diviner. He got annoyed when he started veering off the path of useful information, saying things such as, 'I miss my family.' and 'Everyone here is a gods damned cold-hearted killer'. He was ready to stop the youth when he started saying melodramatic things like 'This world is insane.' and 'I wish I was born in a world full of harems.'
Though he didn't disagree with the young lad, this world is insane, and an endless harem would be nice, if tiring. Seeing him blubbering on the floor on the floor reminded Liuxain that he was dealing with a child, and not an old cultivator. Crying on the floor wasn't exactly immature, most people would have just snapped under that kind of pressure. However, it did show that the young lad didn't have a firm grasp on his emotions or aspirations. Reaching down, he grabbed the youth's shoulder and stood him up. The young scholar still looked like he was about to cry, even if he was trying his best to stop. Liuxian decided he would help. He delivered a hard resounding slap across Fang Hu's face.
"You're free to go, even if it was only mortals, you saved some of my citizens. You don't have to worry about those 3 attacking you again. Mostly because they will be too busy paying the price for attacking my city, but let me assure you they won't be able to move against you for the moment. You would be safer in a loose city farther away from here, now get the fuck out of my city."
Without a word further, Liuxain left as suddenly as he had appeared. A guard appeared and led him out of the room, then the city. Fang Hu stood there for a second, gathered his emotions and thoughts, he then bolted for Jiahao's village. He had been out for a little bit, and he had to get to the next loose city stat!
With fire in his eyes, Liuxain went to his first stop, Shining Pavilion Auction House. By days end, everyone involved would dearly regret trifling with the Great Liuxain!

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Raul The Reality-Reshaper
Raul Medrano had believed he was a normal human his entire life until the day he turned 21. The night before his 21st birthday he had a strange dream and acquired something dubbed a "system" that swore it would help him adjust to his status as a "higher being" and a "reality reshaper". And so began Raul's life as an immensely powerful adventurer who has and uses a variety of powers to change his world, and the grander omniverse for the better. This story features an overpowered protagonist who meets and faces off against other overpowered entities, but it begins with the protagonist in a small world where he swiftly becomes one of the big dogs so conflict, in the beginning, isn't going to be especially challenging. This story also mixes elements from my own distinct setting, the multiverse in which "A Solitary God" takes place, with elements from the settings created by people over on the NSFW CYOA (Choose your own adventure) subreddit, such as TroyxPage, and specific CYOAs such as "Goddess of Mankind" and "Love Azathoth" into one distinct, wholly original story. When relevant I'll post links to the CYOAs a chapter references in the author's notes section. Image credit: I got the image for the cover from Pixabay. This story was posted originally on ScribbleHub and will continue to be posted both there and elsewhere.
