Verath (main character)-

His human name was Alan Mead, the twenty year old son of a well-off merchant. Had blue eyes when he was human and was fairly handsome, though perhaps a little cold and indifferent looking.

A guard once said to him in his human life when he was just a child: "You have the coldest, blue eyes I have ever seen on a person. That, and you have the look of a noble bastard."

His human death, caused by an arrow shot by a goblin archer, has somehow reincarnated him into a black dragon. His black dragon form has emerald eyes, and a spiked tail, and large wings.

-Verath has a very high affinity with fire magic. He also has some affinity with earth magic.

-His gift as a black dragon for cannibalizing the blood of other dragons is still unexplored at the moment. The only known effects are fast healing and integration of the strength of the dead dragon.

-can transform fully and partly into a dragon when in human form quite fluidly and quickly.

-has a gift to sense danger, which seems to only works sometimes.

Verath's Guest (Marius Whitewill) [Present Time]- a blonde-haired half vampyre from the Scarlet Brotherhood coven.

An old man with a long scar on the side of his face. He seems to have an ability to teleport and is the headmaster of Shail Mage Academy.

Alice Silver-

The daughter of the mother innkeeper (married still) of a medium-priced inn in the city of Asolance. Alice Silver is a prim-looking young woman and her age is around seventeen or so. She is very endowed and not very modest or shy. Her dark, brown hair is usually tied into a ponytail by a yellow band. She has soft brown eyes

The king of Shail Kingdom. He lives in the central region at Castle Bastion.

Veena's father and the master and cause of the period known as the turmoil in Shail Kingdom. He is also the head of Malice.

Elisa Ballard-(one of the 3 female adventurers Verath meets)

Five feet and a half tall. Has a very energetic and playful personality. She has an above average look, an oval shaped face, short brown hair, brown eyes, and a soft-brown skin tone. She has an enchanted sword, whose effects are still unclear, though Verath suspects that it increases her strength and agility

Efari:-

She is a female matriarch Devourer, the last of the matriarchs, and is 327 years old. She has jet black eyes and has a sort of yandere type of personality. She is very strong and fast. Her life essence draining is also quite developed, far stronger than that of the Male Devourers.

Eden-

She is the green wyrm whom Verath met after his first tribulation in the chambers of Navra. Her personality seems to be very belligerent and she has a sharp tongue (looks to be the opposite of Kiara).

Her human appearance is that of a very beautiful and tall woman with long, slim legs and fairly sized breasts. Her face is delicately tanned.

Gerald Trelmont-

He is the baron of the eastern region of Shail Kingdom and suspected to be involved with Vearth's death. He was killed by Verath's other self.

Haikai-

An enthusiastic and upright long, black-haired guard who at first and second look, appears to be an effeminate man. Verath rescues him out of amusement and practicality when he was kidnapped by lustful goblins who took Haikai back to their forest home. Verath finds him tied to a pole in the middle of a goblin orgy, and later finds out that Haikai is a female.

Kiara-

The white colored wyrm whom Verath initially met in the chambers of Navra after the first tribulation.

Her human appearance is that of a small budding girl (excluding her breasts) and her large, liquid eyes are of the purest gold tinted with hints of white and red. Her personality also seems to be nice.

Kronos (an Elder dragon of the Arkanan Clan)- His human form is of a tall man with dark brown hair, and an even darker brown and lightly sparse beard. He usually wears a pair of raggedy hempcloth pants.

Lizil (Succubus)-

Porcelain white-skin and a hourglass figure, with long black hair cascading halfway to her back, and two large breasts. Her face consists of high cheek bones, full lips, and delicate eyelashes that cover her pink-tinted eyes. She has a long tail that can almost wrap twice over a full grown human male's waist. The sharp end of the tail rivals that of a pointy sword as Verath soon found out during intimacy with her.

A succubus whom Verath found immensely intriguing, as he has never seen a demon before. There are many unknown aspects to her still even after Verath "sold himself" for information.

Milli Gobumi- (one of the three female adventurers Verath meets)

She is in a party with Elisa and is average-looking. Long, black hair, a small-round face, small lips, and is very short and tiny. She is also small-breasted. She wields two daggers and is very proficient with throwing knifes hidden in many secret folds of her armor.

Navra Bloodseeker; Astlan dragon-king; Verath's broodkeeper:

He is the eldest of the Arkanan clan of dragons Verath was born into. Gender and age are unkown to Verath, but the eldest seems to be bisexual, having transformed into a variety of different creatures of different genders. A very mysterious dragon, who is also the oldest of all dragons.

Princess Amara-

A tall, pretty female woman in her mid twenties. She has steel, grey eyes and her blonde hair is cut short just below the back of her nape. She has a somewhat sadistic nature to her personality and her elite black guards seemed masochistic and loves her dearly in a filial sort of way.

She was killed by Verath as part of his 2nd tribulation.

Phan Tsu-

A third-year student at Shail's Mage Academy, and known as the "Pet" of Lady Calina Serle. He has short, black hair, though his original hair was bright pink. He has a unique magic ability to animate wood.

Rhea of the Wanderers-

She is a desert nomad who is around five feet and eight inches tall. Her eyes are the color of desert sand and her features are harsh from the hardships she has endured. She can never be called beautiful, especially since there are large, livid scars on her tanned body and faint lines of slash marks made from swords on her face.

Rhea was the woman slave Verath once owned in his human life due to an incident in the slave institution. Alan had a relationship akin to that of a student and teacher with her. And for a greater part of two years of his human life, Rhea taught him her customs and language.

Verath once felt a small spark of attraction to Rhea and she, in return, felt love for Alan Mead. Still, the relationship never progressed beyond a platonic relationship, and this was cut short by her murder.

Ryia Altard-(one of the three female adventurers Verath meets)

She is in a party with Elisa. Ryia is five feet and nine inches tall and has a faint, thin, scar line running down her whole left cheek. She is very muscular and very well-endowed. Has a very beautiful, sorta handsome, tomboyish, face. She wields two maces, but usually only uses one.

She has many faint scars on her back that spoke of sword wounds.

Ulric Blackwater-

A middle-aged mercenary who is very fit; Verath is unsure of his real age though. Ulric has a rough, age-hardened, but handsome face. A self-proclaimed great lover of women, mostly whores probably, and the mercenary leader of a company of men. He is also the disowned son of the Blackwater family.

Veena (true name is Kelaila Shadow)- Fiery red hair that cascades downward to lightly cover her forehead and part of her face and high cheekbones. She has large, violet, slit-like eyes with a twinge of golden in them. She has light eyebrows that traces a almost deceivingly perfect arches over her eyes. Her lips are very shapely and small. She has small breasts, almost small enough to be flat-chested. Veena has sworn vengeance on Verath when she lost decisively to Verath during the Tournament of the Wolf.

Zafer (merchant)-

A person whom Verath suspects was involved in his father's and his death. He was killed by Verath's other self.

[The Serle Family]:

Baron Serle: Known to have a wolfish, loyal, and fierce personality. Age and appearance has not been described.

Lady Iona Serle (The eldest daughter): She is a beautiful, big-breasted, and long, silky, black-haired noble. She is also the eldest daughter of Baron Serle. She can be cunning and naive at times. Her hand is a sought for thing amongst the male nobles as to gain prestige. She likes Verath more than she likes most of her suitors.

Lady Arina Serle (The second oldest)

Lady Calina Serle: (The third oldest): A fifteen year old girl who attends Shail Kingdom's Mage Academy, and is currently a third-year student. Her unique magic is Augmentation and her personality is similar to that of a Tsundere.

Lady Lelani Serle: (The fourth oldest)

Lady Dylena Serle: (The youngest sister)

Lord Gustav Serle: (The youngest of the siblings and the only son of Baron Serle)

Contracted Shinobi (Kina)- The personal, shadowy female guard contracted with Lady Iona Serle, now contracted to Lord Gustav Serle and Calina Serle. Verath learns a little of her background after her failure in guarding Lady Iona Serle. She uses twin Wakizashis.

Vice-Commander Orik- He has a somewhat plain appearance and short brown hair, and serves as Verath's vice-commander.

Leana: She is the female scout soldier in Verath's Subjugation Squadron. Leana is also the one who made that strange raping comment: "Yes! He will rape those elves into submission."

Sir Rown Valterio- He is part of Verath's command and he was known as the Silver Knight, the opponent whom Verath faced in the tournament. He has a beautiful appearance and likes to dress in flowery clothing / armor, and seems way too interested in Verath for comfort.

Grandmaster Kizam Vulcram- a short and aging Grandmaster. He is one of the six personal retainers of the Serle family. He teaches Verath the Wandering Flame sword style.

Elder brother of Kizam Vulcram- He is the elder and taller brother of Kizam Vulcram. His first name is not said.

{The Six Ministers of War}

Minister of War Gria Tearon and Minister of War Lia Tearon-

They are twin brothers and their secret capacity is serving as the spymasters for the Serle family. They are also distant cousins to the Serle family and seem to have eccentric personalities which masks their psychopathic tendencies and cruel personalities.

The four other Ministers of War are dead, having been branded as traitors.
