P-System Log
Holy shit, I feel good. It's incredible. I don't think I ever felt like this on Earth when I actually had nerves to feel things with.
I don't have a body but I feel like every part of my mind is just lighting up and everything is fitting just right and it's so so so nice and
...is this what drugs are like?
Okay, it's dying down now but damn do I still feel good. Wow.
Was that all from the slime dying? I don't see why it would be... I mean, earlier, a wolf got killed right in front of us, right? I didn't feel anything remotely close to this when that happened.
I think it's because the [Godkiller] and moderate dumbass I'm attached to killed it. That makes the most sense. I guess the experience he gets from it goes towards me as well?
My perception of him doesn't tell me that he's experiencing anything close to what I am, though. What the hell?
...maybe it's something unique to me as a System? Lemme check.
Parker [ALIAS: P-System] Class Race Level PERSONAL_SYSTEM SYSTEM - Stat Current Maximum W Inertia 38327 [+3] 38324 Mana - - Health Skills [W%M;G,P] Titles [System], [Reincarnator]
Other statistics have been deemed irrelevant.
P-System Log
Ooh, my W Inertia increased. Ten overall, and somehow my current W Inertia is greater than my max?
aaaaaaand what does that mean?
I mean, I feel great, so maybe it is just like drugs.
But maybe, just maybe, that stat is something I can actually use.
I'm going to try focusing on it, just a little more...
System Prompt
[W%M;G,P] invoked.
W overflow detected. Consuming.
System user detected.
Ǔ̷̥̔͜N̵̰͖̒̾̉̿ͅK̴̢̤̪̼̀*̷̧̢̖̜̞͒͐̂͝8̸̨̜̹͙̃̓̃(̷̙͓͔̺̳̽̃̋̋#̵͎̦̪̤̓͌̄$̴̱͝ satisfied.
[W%M;G,P] conditions met.
Initiating skill.
Good luck, Parker. The Origin System sends its regards.
P-System Log
...oh.
So that's how it is.
P-System Log
I would've appreciated if the Origin System left me with more, but I have it now. Not anywhere near a complete picture of what I'm meant to be doing here, but I think a lot of the basic things have been filled in.
I still don't know what W Inertia is, but I know that the overflow I have--triggered from the death of the slime, most likely--is something I can use.

Wait, is W Inertia experience?
Not my problem right now. It's not like anyone can actually see an experience stat, anyway.
More important is burning off this W Inertia. I don't know what happens if I let the overflow sit there, I just know that [W%M;G,P] tells me that it'll be bad. Not a short-term issue, but I'd rather not risk it too much.
I don't have much. The slime's W Inertia wasn't that big, so the permanent increase I got from it was barely smaller than the temporary increase.
But I know what I can do with it.
Shape it just a little bit, try to puppet the form of the [Magic Missile] that just got activated, and I can make that spell activate just a little more effectively next time. [Magic Missile] is common, and it's still level 1, which means that the effect is going to be more pronounced right now.
Here we go!
Skill leveled up! [Magic Missile] lv. 1 -> lv. 2 Damage increased by 2R4. Mana cost increased by 20%. P-System Log [lessons learned]
...interesting.
I'm going to have to handle level-up notifications on my own eventually. I... might have been a little too harsh on ol' Origin, to be honest. I could've been left to deal with the primordial soup of experience, W Inertia, mana, and whatever other metaphysical shit is floating around the Continent without any assistance at all. That wasn't quite the tutorial I needed, but it was probably the one I deserved.
Okay. Reference points for future Parker.
- The Origin System is not my enemy
- It could be way worse
- I've been getting hand-held up until now, and it looks like this "easy mode" is going to be around for a while longer
- Once Jerome hits a certain level (not sure what the exact number is gonna be), the "easy mode" is going to be gone
- I need to defeat the Eternal King (or at least Jerome does, though he got the full tutorial)
- Damage is calculated like it was in D&D back on Earth, kind of? 2R4 is basically the equivalent of 2d4, I think.

- [W%M;G,P] has been facilitating "easy mode", but it also has a bunch of other features that I haven't gained access to yet
- The Origin System is not my enemy
Uhhhh. That's all I can think of right now. I'll log more if anything else comes up.
Hero's Personal Log 003
Finally! Holy crap, I can do magic! That's actually so cool!
I take back everything bad I said about you, System. It's early days yet, but with time and effort I think I can live up to the title of [Godkiller]. Lots to work on right now (like, I still haven't figured out how to pick up [Blazing Spear]), but I've taken my first true step. It feels so much more real now.
Hell yeah.
I was a fucking nobody on Earth, man. I kept on getting told I was meant for great things, y'know? Son of the SmithTech CEO, bright kid, all As, went to MIT... and then there I was, fourth year, barely going to my classes and wasting my life away gaming on the couch.
Man, I'm so happy I got a second chance. I'm going to live up to my potential this time, I swear. I'll do whatever I have to, kill whoever I need to, and I'll free this land from the Eternal King.
Just you wait.
P-System Log
...aw. I can kind of relate to that, actually. I was just getting into uni when I got yanked here, and I'm not sure what I was going to do with my life. Spending all my free time reading manga, webnovels, and watching anime and gaming... yeah, I think I feel Jerome.
But more importantly! I think I can get him to learn [Blazing Spear]!
We can deal with our parallels later. I can communicate to him! Let's get this ex-loser a magic spell, shall we?
...might be better to hold off on revealing who I am, though. I don't think I'm ready to have a true person-to-person interaction yet, especially when I'm like this.
Alright, here goes nothing.
P-System Message Hello, Jerome. Please indicate if you can receive this message through your Personal Log. P-System Log
Oof, wording that took longer than I'd like to admit. Also, I don't know how to do the System Prompts that Origin--or, I guess, my finally-activated skill--was giving me before.
But with any luck...
Hero's Personal Log 004
It activated? Holy crap!
Uhhh, I guess the System really is different from usual. Yes, I got the message.
P-System Log
Yes! Okay, if I can communicate like this, that removes a lot of barriers!
And I think he still thinks I'm an AI of some sort, given that he didn't straight up talk to me. I am more than okay with that. I'm still getting used to my new not-quite-a-body, thank you very much, I don't need to deal with socializing right now.
Alright, here we go! [W%M;G,P] still has a little overflow fuel left, so I'm going to try to take this [Uncommon] spell and add it to his repertoire. The skill is, thank whoever made it, still holding my hand enough to give me what I need for this kind of stuff.
Now, how do I word this formally?
P-System Message
Indication acknowledged.
Prior context suggests desire to learn [Blazing Spear]. Would you like to begin the process of learning it?
Hero's Personal Log 005 Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes. P-System Log
Here we go. I think I only have half of the overflow W Inertia that I did earlier, so I better do this quick.
System skill, take my hand!
The method to do it is pretty simple, detailed to me by my new letter-soup friend. All I need to do is initiate the spell like Aster did, demonstrate to Jerome's mind how it's supposed to happen, then wrap it with just the right touch of W Inertia, and if all goes right...
New skill unlocked: [Blazing Spear]
You may summon a spear of flame and energy to strike at your opponent.
[Blazing Spear] activating!

Divine Mortality
Divine Mortality is about the experiences of Players stepping into a new massively online world. A video game which was crafted with near-future technical advances, a game that provides seamless virtual reality headset and control support, a game which was hidden until it's surprise hit release shocking the world of boring and mundane MMORPGs played today, and a game that has been described as a miracle creation. Something which is difficult to create in Today's REAL WORLD, yet, it's not impossible with the right conditions and intentions. I try to implement concepts of my dream MMORPG which I believe will work and fulfill a Player's fun, immersion, creativity, and social world. The story in season 1 follows the first person perspective of an enthusiast of the game, Amulet Pond. Season 2 follows a new individual called Sayooshi, written in a more third person perspective (attempted light novel). (Recommended!) Season 1 covers the rough chapters 1-52, Season 2 (chapters 53+) should be better in quality. You can start reading from 53.
