Volume 2 Chapter 1: Fire & Poison -
Within Serpent Falls-
Two months had passed since Sol came to Serpent Falls, everyday he climbed down from the cliff and left the area of Serpent Falls to hunt and kill beasts of C-Rank and lower. He noticed not a lot of weak beasts were around Serpent Falls and had to mark targets and wait for the right time to hunt them.
Everyday he spent killing C-Rank Beasts and melding his soul within the shadows of the forest, his Soul Beasts, the twin Basilisks at his side grew even larger and was now capable of hunting alongside Sol. The twins had perfect co-ordination and didn't need Sol to command them, they would always do what Sol was thinking and they would always do it accurately and on time.
During these hunts, Sol noticed both Hydrian and Hydreas had high affinity with Light and Fire Magic. However, despite having equal affinity he noticed their preferences, Hydrian liked to bathe in the sun and obviously liked light magic more and Hydreas liked to burn things and breathe fire and engage in a fiery slaughter.
At first the flames she could make were very minimal and she was incredibly proud of it, until Sol brought out his Fire Gem and mimicked her just to tease her a little. Hydrea upon seeing this grew mad at the Fire Gem and tried to destroy it several times. Sol laughed at her reactions and Hydrea never stopped practicing fire after realizing it's flame was on par with a low grade firestarter.
Hydrian seeing all this had a lazy sort of smile plastered and slept peacefully, Sol never understood why Hydrian slept so much but he was sure she was getting stronger and it reminded him of the Huge Black Serpent on top of Serpent Falls.
It seemed as if she was absorbing mana from the sun and earth and had a light and minor golden fog sparkling around her body similar to the Huge Black Serpent on top of Serpent Falls who had a thick layer of black fog around it's body. Sol guessed it must have something to do with the Darkness/Light element types, and they needed to meld themselves into the atmosphere.
For example the Huge Black Serpent, his grand body is hidden beneath the shade of an even grander tree that covers the entirety of Serpent Falls. At Most only his upper half is seen and still it is covered in shade.
The twins started looking more and more fierce as they hunted and killed and ate their fill. All the while Sol wasn't idle either, he practiced using his dantian over and over and could not see any results. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do to activate it for the first two months and only now did he suddenly have a shred of insight.
He remembered the technique he created called [Enhanced vision], and was the only technique he could do that acquired mana. After experimenting with it for a while, he then remembered something of incredible importance and fished through his runic ring.
There he found a sheet of scroll which had writing on it, this piece of paper recorded everything Sol had tried in order to use mana. It also had his speculations about mana and his theories he thought of in order to access mana. Had Sol learned warrior moves like all others, he wouldn't need to do what he was doing now.

After reviewing his notes he understood he had to create his own moves, and those required insights to activate it and a graphic imagination. He cursed himself that he only learned one single warrior move called "Heavy Strike" when he realized he didn't have a Dantian. Though he was still pleased he had learned a single one anyway because it was the reason by which he could understand how to create moves.
First, Sol had to gain insights in order to create these moves, for example "Heavy Swing" was a move that was created by the inspiration of a lumberjack, the swing practiced a million times that efficiently cut wood using the right muscles and applying the right strength at the right time, that was the "Heavy Strike".
Sol however, refused to abandon his own combat methods to use these means. It would mean giving up the inheritance given to him by his parents and practicing the combat of warriors of this world. Sol also deemed their combat methods inferior and weak, they were too widely focused on mana and seemed to forget the basics of one's body.
Sol had heard a while back of other warriors creating their own techniques of battle from the Duke while they were making their way to the Wasp hive. Nightmaster Duke told Sol only expert warriors who were confident in their ability created their own styles of battle and deviated from the original path of a warrior.
Sol whole-heartedly agreed with them, they absolutely couldn't be compared. Sol thought the people of this world placed way too much emphasis on mana and power output than actual physical skill, Dorian was living proof of that when he could not see Sol's attack at all despite being much stronger than him back then, granted it was a surprise attack, Sol believed he should have still showed some reaction.
It was obvious Dorian had barely any combat experience, and seemed to be more of a decoration in Sol's eyes. The King and Former King were much different, Apparently the King was a complete monster and had created his own combat techniques using inspiration from Blackie and his style of combat granted him a wild aura when in combat, with the combination of the darkness element, there were few who could hold a candle.
The strength of this King was indeed not a joke and proof of this is when he had actually intended to slash apart the meteor, which was Sol's spacecraft. Though his family was worried, they believed he could do it and the Axe that sat beside his throne was also something that Sol took note of.
Sol found the Axe seemed too ordinary, it only had a tinge of blood on it's edge and that was precisely what made it incredibly suspicious but he never asked the King about it because men shouldn't reveal all their strength.
The Former King had a naturally large mana pool and had a high comprehension ability. It was rumored he fell in a volcano and had trained himself in the depths of it all, when he emerged his stationary combat techniques had vastly been changed and improved.
The Former King acquired a rare mage trait referred to as "Attunement" within the volcano. This is when one becomes at one with their element, this state lasts only a few seconds but it was more than enough to cause godly Infernos, tyrannical tornados, land-shattering earthquakes and terrible tidal waves.
No matter how Sol looked at it, people who chose to go their own path are who succeeded in becoming powerful and that is exactly what Sol needed to do.

He decided he would acquire inspiration from other things and meld it into his new combat style [Planar Overlord Style] to create his own techniques. In truth, the style Sol had created for himself wasn't complete, he had only created the basic moves and he knew what it missed were absolute killing techniques.
How could it be named what it was if it didn't have killing techniques? Now was the time to begin expanding on it. Sol decided to spend all of his time focusing on creating these techniques and becoming stronger.
**
Within the cave on the waterfall, Sol's current home -
Sol was seated in a meditative position, the twin Basilisks sat at his sides quietly and were both sleeping. Mitra was quiet and understood when he should cause a ruckus and when he should be quiet. Since Sol had acquired his Dantian it had yet to rank up, however his body increased to 5th Order Rank.
After a short amount of time Sol finally opened his eyes and a flash of golden light flew out along with it. He let out an exhale and impurities filled the air, since he had gotten this Dantian things had changed and he no longer needed to do Tai Chi in order to exhale them.
As he awoken the twins knew what came next, they both opened their eyes and immediately slithered into his arms and with a flash of light became two bright golden tattoos. Sol stood up and after gathering his senses and feeling the changes in his body, he nodded and then proceeded to leave the cave.
As he begun climbing down, the Huge Black Serpent calmly opened it's eyes and glanced at Sol for a bit before closing it's eyes, as if saying "Oh, It's that time again, keep up the hard work".
Sol climbed down the waterfall which had thick and steel-like vines great enough for him to recklessly slide down on, and thorns huge enough for him to grip on to without fear of it breaking. Climbing down from that extremely high place only took a minute and Sol's feet landed on the fresh earth, and tender blades of grass below.
He didn't linger near the huge river because the Huge Red Serpent was something Sol didn't want to encounter at all. Even though it ignored him when it saw him and the Lamia's mark assured him some safety, he didn't want to find out it's range of effect.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, both Basilisks came out from his arms and Sol immediately hopped onto Hydreas head, Hydrian compressed it's body using Light Magic and became tiny enough to hang around Sol's neck, she slithered her way and wrapped comfortably around.
He immediately departed into the forest riding on Hydreas and headed toward the section where weaker beasts were found, around this area were lots of powerful Serpent-type beasts but they all ignored Sol and minded their business. It had to be said Sol had some degree of safety with the mark and was quite grateful for it.
Even though this mark protected Sol, obviously when in battle the mark had no say in anything. A beast wouldn't let itself be killed for the sake of the mark, and would certainly defend and retaliate against anyone willing to kill it. It would rather take the chances killing the marked person and migrating to another forest to try it's luck at escaping the Lamias than dying to the marked target without resisting.
Many lower rank beasts weren't as intelligent as humans, but possessed some pride and also enough intelligence to make good decisions like when to kill and when to flee. This could be considered one of them, and as such it wouldn't hesitate to retaliate. However, they would certainly not invite calamity on themselves and attack a marked target. Sol used this to his advantage and hunted as he pleased without worry of other beasts joining in.
The Beasts which he was currently hunting were called Rock Worms, they were B-Ranked beasts that possessed Earth affinity and possessed tremendous vitality. Even though their individual power was merely at D-Rank, these creatures were indeed very tricky to kill as they would retreat into the earth when they sensed danger, even if they managed to sustain damage it would heal in a matter of minutes.
Not to mention their attack methods were extremely cowardly, they would move through the earth and attack from underneath dragging their prey downwards. They would hold their attack until one let's down their guard or is preoccupied with something else and then and only then would it attack and show itself.
Sol had no fear of these creatures, at first they drove him extremely mad because they were the only weak B-Rank creatures around and they hid like cowards, Sol who wanted to train was extremely angered by this. After taunting for a while and stamping the earth beneath his feet, he became even more angered and had never encountered such a shameless beast.
After a while, Sol's eyes became blood-red as he realized they had no intentions of coming up. He took out his brewing cauldron, as he bit his lips and let blood from his mouth leak into the cauldron, he immediately began taking out various herbs and venom extracts from lesser serpents around the area. Sol learned his blood increased the efficiency of any poison and had made it a special ingredient, one which was available and known only to him.
In this time limit Sol had been in the forests, he had found many herbs he had never seen, heard or read about. Sol understood that humans couldn't enter deep into the forests, especially forbidden zones like these and probably have never seen these herbs before. He suddenly got excited as he began wondering how many different herbs there are out there in the world and he suddenly felt a sense of excitement building up as he thought of himself attaining them.
(...I can't believe how excited this makes me..Is this what it means to have a passion for something?) -Sol
This was the only time Sol had actually noticed he had quite liked alchemy and medicine, he liked dabbling in unknown herbs and creating various toxins and medicines. He especially liked finding unknown herbs and had made a hobby out of finding them.
Every time he found a rare one, an inexplicable joy would fill his heart and he couldn't wait to rush back to the cave to crush, grind and boil it and see what effects they would bring. He would even risk his life to acquire some, no matter how dangerous it was he would plunge into the darkest depths of the forests and fight any beast over a plant.
As he thought these things, he grabbed all manners of weird herbs he found over the period of time from his runic ring and started playing around with them. He suddenly let out a joyful laugh and rubbed his nose with his wrist, as the poison leaked from his fingers and burned the floor. Finding out what these herbs could do, was a joy within a joy that he could not pass up.
The happiness in his eyes as he dabbled in the poisons made some of the beasts nearby feel a deep sense of fear, they could sense how dangerous the type of poison he was currently making was as it gave off a smell of decaying death. A deep sinister green light flickered deep within his cold golden fiery pupils as he stared down at the cauldron. A wet medicated piece of cloth covered his lower face and no one could see his lips, but the beasts could tell from his eyes that he was smiling.
[You don't want to come out right? Well that's fine and all..No need to move from where you are. In fact, I prefer it if you remain there.] -Sol
Upon hearing these words, the Rock Worms had a bad premonition. All this time the human had been angry and annoyed, now it seemed as though he was incomparably excited and these creatures were extremely sensitive to danger. So naturally, this abnormality made them quiver and they remained vigilant to his movements. They couldn't abandon this place because they had long stored lots of food within this particular area, and had lots of eggs hidden below.
From start to finish when Sol had sat down with the cauldron, none of them had attacked even though he was preoccupied. The reason for that was the cauldron in front of Sol, they sensed all manners of poisons and death leaking from it that scared them stupid and were afraid they might accidentally swallow it while attacking.
Sol lifted up the brewing cauldron up into the air, with a black liquid bubbling inside. The insects in the air who passed nearby immediately fell down and made not a single sound. The air had become still and quiet and the nearby beasts turned away and left.
[Being in the dirt for so long, you must be filthy. How about a shower courtesy of me absolutely free?] -Sol
With a huge wide grin, Sol unhesitatingly poured the cauldron on top of the Earth covering a circle area-
*SSHHHH*
Immediately the black liquid spread amongst the earth, and Sol quickly backed away. The black liquid quickly seeped downward ignoring most of the earth, it slid through the earth with minor burning downward as it went speeding towards the Rock Worms. They sensed this disturbance, and immediately tried to run away.
However, the poison leaked incredibly fast through the earthern components and the earth did not impair it's speed at all, it looked like water falling into a well. Almost like there was no earth separating it in the first place. After the poison had long passed the surface of the earth, it remained black and corroded away afterward slowly.
*ROAR*
The Rock Worms let out pained shrieks and screamed from under the earth, Sol peered over at the now huge black circular covered earth and after a while the earth started melting and showed signs of caving in. Without further ado, Sol while riding Hydreas moved over to the newly forming black hole, Hydreas opened her enlarged jaws as flames leaked from the corner of her mouth and let out a terrible fireball that went speeding downward into the hole pushing the rest of the decayed and poison earth on top of the entities below.
*BOOM*
The explosion rocked the inside and even more shrieks were heard, Hydrian who was around Sol's neck lazily flashed her eyes and light immediately filled up the big dark hole. Sol looked down and noticed the poison had almost disintegrated the Rock Worms completely. He was quite pleased with it's effects and it was as he thought it would be.
With this particular poison, he used a plant he named "Earth melding Plant". It was a particular plant which possessed a rare attribute of melding with the earth and soaking up mana from the surroundings. Sometimes this plant would sink into the earth easily using a special substance from it's body to gain nutriets and would re-emerge whenever it pleased.
This rare trait grabbed Sol's attention and after fiddling around with it for a while, he understood it's components and was able to perverse it's nature and use it as a deadly weapon. Being happy with this poison, he decided to name it-
[Hehe...I'll call this Earth-Seeping poison] -Sol
As Sol had satisfied his curiosity for the medical sciences today, it was time to focus on his original training schedule and train his techniques. Sol ordered Hydreas to fire a few more fireballs and completely eradicate the remaining poison and after throwing a few vials of antidote in the black hole, Sol turned around and left.
He didn't want to leave the earth damaged because of this experiment and quickly took care of it. After all, it was the earth that was responsible for creating these magical herbs Sol loved so much. Taking care of the earth where he experimented had become a habit that he was proud of and always made sure to make sure to leave no side effects.
**
Just as Sol was walking around the forest and thinking about what he should use as a muse to gain insights to create techniques, when suddenly-
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
Loud sounds issued out accompanied with the shaking of the surrounding earth, Winged Beasts flew out from the trees along with smaller normal birds.
*BOOM* *BOOM*
The loud sounds continued, Sol immediately let out a low whistle; Mitra became quiet, both twin Basilisks entered Sol's arms and his mind became dizzy as his body moved at lightning speed, but quietly as well as profound.
Sol used [Spectral Phantom] and disappeared within the thick forests and left no traces of broken branches on the floor or ruffled leaves. His lifeless golden eyes reflecting the area in front of him as he moved towards the 'booming' noises.
There was one thing Sol liked besides finding rare herbs, and that was watching powerful beasts fight to the death! He knew that it was huge beasts fighting to death and he absolutely did not want to miss this! Sometimes when they fought, they killed one another and valuable rewards would be available.
It was basically a rush in the forest whenever those S-Rank beasts fought, lots of creatures would wait far away from the battle waiting for their chance to grab at the corpses. The Bodies of S Rank and higher beasts helped cultivation greatly and anyone would love a chance to grab at it. Sol was no different, living amongst the beasts stimulated him into becoming just as ravenous as they were.
His eyes had become slightly wild and it carried a dense killing intent within them, If humans came across him they would surely mistake him for a hidden race at first glance. Living on the precipice of death had brought about this change, outside of Serpent Falls Sol learned the Lamia's mark wasn't as effective and so his days weren't by any means easy.
Every day was a struggle of starvation and one had to eat and worry about "the now" rather than "the later". Forget dying by a Lamia, starvation was just as bad and with this logic beasts outside of Serpent Falls attacked Sol like crazy. However, once they learned Sol wasn't an easy meal they began to earn a new fear for this particular human.
Whatever he couldn't directly kill in combat or what was too powerful for him to take on, was poisoned beyond hell of a recognition. Sol had ran out of vials and so found a particular fruit, it's shell was reasonably hard and if one pierced a hole in it, an edible refreshingly tasty milky juice leaked out. Sol called them "Shelled Milk".
Sol had gathered quite a few of these after eating their contents, he started using them instead of vials as they were much tougher than glass and suited his needs perfectly. These shells were obviously used to store poisons of many different kinds. Whenever the beasts saw those shells they would immediately run away.
These beasts never picked herbs in the forest and would only nibble on the plants they needed to take care of wounds or illnesses and as such, the forests were littered with all manners of herbs. Running out of poison was something Sol didn't have to worry about within Serpent Falls as he always made sure to never take out it's roots and in the cases he did, he would always leave the vital parts behind to regrow. Not to mention the amount of lesser serpents around made it so poison was always available.
After gaining this notorious reputation among the beasts, they had started treating Sol as a predator amongst them and no longer acted rashly, most of them didn't even consider him human. The scent of Serpent Falls leaked off of his body and this made them quiver, what sort of entities lived on Serpent Falls? The most terrible, terrible kinds of predators and that was what their instincts they followed most of their life told them.
They had personally seen him poison an S-Rank Crystal Spider Queen who's armor was considered close to impenetrable and forced it to retreat. The poison this bastard human created corroded her armor and what made it worse, was the fact that the poison was flammable.
Hydreas spat fireballs nonstop towards the Queen who decided to retreat instead of dying a bastard death of fire and poison. The Crystal Spider Queen hated Sol's existence greatly and Sol knew one day she would definitely come back for revenge, because Sol attacked it with the thing it hated most and the thing it was best at. Fire & Poison.
**
Sol was currently speeding towards the "Booming" sounds and the intensity of the earth rumbled and roared even more. He could hear the rustling noises beside him and he knew for sure, that he was not the only one heading over there. All manners of killing intent soared in the sky from all around him and Sol could feel it, however compared to the chaotic aura of the surrounding beasts, Sol's aura was tranquil and calm.
The same could be said for the other powerful beasts going toward the S-Rank fight. Everyone knew at this moment, competition was being killed mercilessly. At this current moment, the stronger the killing intent, the weaker the beast and they were the first ones being killed.
He moved quickly, quietly and from time to time would appear behind a beast and pierce it's skull deep with his Fanged Blades. From time to time he would be attacked by surprise from behind, the same way he attacked. This was the law of the jungle. Spoils of war go to the one who survives.
Sol would have brought out his Soul Beasts but he knew all too well Hydreas was too hot-blooded to remain calm and would most likely start an inferno. Right now was not the time to make a spectacle of himself, right now was the elimination process. The lower ranked beasts were killing themselves before the S-Rank beasts were even dead. This was the Hunt of the Wild.
**
The sounds of the exploding battle got louder and louder as Sol made his way through the forest, Sol increased his speed and his dizziness grew along with it. The way he moved was as though he stepped on the air and grass and nothing was disturbed along the way suddenly-
*ROOARR*
Suddenly a loud roar echoed out behind Sol and a sense of dread came from the same direction, a flaming tiger-like beast that was at least B-Rank pounced on Sol from behind. He spun around with both Fanged Blades within his hands, he crossed them across his chest and received the blow of the beast!
*BANG*
Sol was sent flying backwards by the powerful surprise attack that could shatter boulders, however Sol's face was unchanged as he received this blow. Using the force of the blow Sol angled himself to pierce the air with his head and flew backward at a faster speed-
The Flaming B-Rank Tiger didn't waste time with greetings and immediately flew behind Sol thinking he had fallen unconscious from the surprise attack.
*WHISH*
The beast had already caught up to Sol, and as the power from it's hind legs shot out it used it's Fire element and bursted off with an even greater speed leaving behind a trail of fire.
Sol tightened his grip of the Fanged Blades and in one swift motion sent it plunging into the Earth, bringing his body to a stop after skating a bit. If one looked closely, they could see a faint pulse coming from Sol's chest.
The Flaming Tiger immediately pounced on the now still target it's jaws were close to Sol's neck but when it saw the calmness it Sol's eyes, it felt like something was undoubtedly wrong but it was much too late. When it understood where this sense of danger came from it's blood ran cold.
Sol was currently inhaling a deep breath, flames smoldered from the sides of his lips as a flame could be seen inside his mouth. Sol after charging up a great deal of mana inside his chest, let out a loud shout as an intense burning flame shot out from his mouth!
[Infernal Blast!] -Sol
*BOOM*
Even though the Flaming Tiger had a good degree of resistance against fire, the attack was much too sudden and it attacked the inside of his mouth. What was even worse, the flaming Tiger realized Sol had mixed poison within his own mouth and when he spat the fireball the remnants entered his mouth and ignited which caused a gas to enter it's body.
Sol turned around and continued running towards the long explosions without sparing the almost dead flaming tiger a glance. The tiger watched as it saw the initial scratch from the sneak attack on Sol's arm slowly heal as his back faded from sight and then took it's last breathe.
If any human saw this, they would be shocked. Sol wasn't a mage, but he had a few tricks accessible to him because of his physique and this was one of them. He couldn't cast spells but he could use his body to issue out the same effects to a certain degree. Warriors with the Fire element at most could use the Fire element to increase the power of their limbs and attack power but to spit fire was something else entirely and was rather closer to a beast trait.
**
*BOOM*
Sol quickly climbed up a tree after he got close enough to the fight and could see everything. The twin Basilisks climbed out at this time and wrapped themselves around the branches of the trees.
Sol saw Hydreas find a nice view position on top of the trees and immediately hopped on top of her head and sat down looking at the fight, Hydrian basically waited till Sol settled himself and the same as always climbed around Sol's neck. Mitra was usually quiet once Sol was inside the forest and away from Serpent Falls and focused on calling out incoming enemies.
As Sol looked off into the distance, today's fight seemed special and he knew why. Today the Huge Red Serpent from Serpent Falls was battling what seemed to be a Storm Wind Colossal Ape King.
*BOOM* *BOOM*
The Huge Red Serpent, Thrashed about wildly with every turn of it's body the earth would shatter and scatter apart. With every swing of the Colossal Ape's Bone Weapon, the wind would rip and spin in fury and create gales of wind. The Huge Red Serpent's Fangs would clash against the Bone mace and it wouldn't flinch at all which showed just how much confidence it held in it's fangs.
Sol was secretly cheering for the Huge Red Serpent and watched the battle in awe.
*BOOM* *BOOM*
At first it looked as though these two entities were equal in power, but Sol could tell the Huge Red Serpent was dominating. It had yet to use it's element and fought the King to a stand still. Beasts within the surrounding areas were shredded by stray blades of wind from the Ape King's Bone weapon and Shrapnel earth kicked up by the Huge Red Serpent pierced them with hundreds of holes.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *ROAAAR*
Suddenly the Ape King let out a roar as it swung it's bone mace towards the Huge Red Serpent with a terrible pounding force. The wind around the bone compressed as it swung towards it's target and Sol could see it's terrifying might, The Huge Red Serpent's body was suddenly covered in flames as it responded to this assault.
Suddenly it compressed it's entire body in a coil while soaking up in flames, Just when the Ape King's bone weapon was about to land on it's body.
*WZZT*
The Flaming Huge Red Serpent suddenly sprung in a flash as all it's muscles in it's body exploded along with the boosting speed of Fire-
Even though it was huge, it's speed was no joke and the Ape King didn't even have the time to react towards this surprise move! Not to mention he had already attacked with his full power and had no way to change direction. The Flaming Huge Red Serpent gracefully dodged the incoming blow in an "S" like manner and shot forward crashing directly into the Ape King's chest with a burning fury.
*BOOOOOM*
The Huge Red Serpent passed directly through the Ape King's Body, Sol had seen it's terrifying steel-like muscles and he knew that the Ape King he just saw was a terrifyingly powerful existence and it looked as sturdy as a mountain, so how powerful was this Huge Red Serpent? Sol noticed the Huge Red Serpent was quite relaxed and took it's time swallowing the Ape King whole.
Sol seeing this shook his head, he looked around the battlefield at the destroyed and burned earth as well as the corpses of beasts everywhere. Sol sighed bitterly in his heart as he decided to turn around and leave as there were no rewards today, the surviving beasts also did the same and left. Just as Sol was about to leave.
[You came for my prey human?..Or did you come to join him?] -Huge Red Serpent
Sol hearing this sinister and cold voice directly inside his mind, turned around slowly as he realized the Huge Red Serpent was looking at him with what seemed to be a horrifying smile. Sol immediately turned around and fled towards Serpent Falls as his blood became cold, this guy had always scared the living daylights out of Sol no matter how much he had seen him and couldn't get used to that frightening appearance.
[NEITHER OF THE ABOVE! THE THIRD OPTION!] -Sol
Sol didn't act prideful in front of such creatures and knew when to depart. Seeing Sol's hurriedly fleeing figure, the Huge Red Serpent let out a fulfilled laugh and watched his back.
(...What a weird guy, Doesn't he know I'm the Lamia Guardian? No wonder Old Black is interested in him) -Huge Red Serpent
**
As Sol reached back into the cave, he let out a sigh and exhaled a deep breathe. The images of the fight fought between the two powerful above S-Rank beasts had sunk deep into his mind. As these images burned in his mind, he immediately begun practicing his moves, with the Huge Red Serpent in mind. The battle played over and over in his mind and Sol trained and trained trying to create his very first technique.

Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess.
